Sheila is a sweet soul who is always willing to unite new friends in positive and creative ways. She uses her positive energy and crystal to heal others and attract abundance in her life. She is a unique and bright spirit!

 

While up in SF I had the great pleasure of staying a couple of nights with Sheila and Matthew, two awsome CS'ers who introduced me to the great SF nightlife. :oD
Thanks you guys, I have a wonderful time and hope to see everybody again in the near future.

 

I've met her sister Lisa as well as Sheila. We've E-Mailed and finally met at an event.

sheila is extremely generous and easy going,i had a good time talking with her and seeing her shop. she is really active in oakland couchsurfing. We had a couchsurfing meeting at her place, where i had a lovely evening talking to everybody.

So I haven't started asking Sheila all the personal questions yet, but she's a sweetheart. And of course, anyone who cooks loads of good food but can't each much of it themselves is like a gift from heaven for me. She just has an easy non-judgemental quality about her; I'm still working tirelessly to irritate her :) I've also been imitating her mother's cat so maybe one day I'll meow and they'll feed me without knowing it's not Princess (of course there's a chance her boyfriend might spray me with a water bottle :)

Sheila was so awesome to put this gathering together in the east bay. I loved meeting her and hearing all her stories! Thank you for an incredible night and I hope we can see each other again very soon!

It was lovely meeting Sheila at the Crazy Wig/Hat Party in Cotati... A worthy crazy wig contender, I must say. She is very sweet and friendly and I hope to see her at future CS events!

 

Sheila always does her best to host surfers in need. Although we finally didn't need to surf with her we visited her at her business and she invited us to hang out in the night with her friends. A really, really nice bunch of fun and generous people. We hadn't had so much fun in a while. We hope we'll meet these people again soon, really, we'll miss you guyyyyys :o)

I met Shelia for some drinks in Oakland, she seemed like a really nice woman and I'm looking forward to seeing what the new CS ambassador of Oakland can do now!

I am glad I met Sheila...the many times I couldn't make the events she hosted, I wish I would of or could of gone...The few events I did go to, I had a blast...Sheila is probably the most easy going person I've met. Sheila is one of the most easy-going people I've ever met, very spiritual and positive. Great hostess. Not to mention the greatest socialite I've ever seen, with the power to surround herself with good friends to party and hang out with in a brand new place in just a matter of weeks :-)

Jacenta took me with her to Sheila's place in Long beach. Sheila was so nice to host me 4 days as well, and took us to some nice meetings with her friends!

Sheila threw an excellent party! I didn't really get to talk to her much because she was busy hosting and I was busy mingling, but I can say I was quite impressed by how quickly she was able to get over 50 people out of her place in less than 15 minutes. Moral of the story: Sheila knows how to throw a party.

Sheila surfed our couch in Budapest before CS existed. She was traveling around Europe and organised her trip pretty well even though there was no forum for hosts and guests those times. Watch out now, Sheila, he has grown a "bit".

Sheila is a very fun and energetic couch surfer!

Sheila and I first talked, right in the time, when I was about to decide where to go in the States. Eventually I decided to come to Long Beach and Sheila hosted me, while I was looking for an apartment. She gave me a very warm welcome (after I had to some rather unpleasant experiences on my journey) and was very easy-going about my stay. Sheila is a great, laid back person, always making things simple and uncomplicated. She is straightforward and you’ll know where you’re at. I really had a good start in LB with her, not only because we had fun going out or to the weekend party in the mountains, but also, because of the weather in SoCal and Sheila living right next to the beach=) Plus: Sheila is SO creative, it’s incredible! You should check out her collection!

Sheila and I have been penpals for a lot of years, and in October 2008 we finally met when she came to visit me for a few days while I was living in Latvia. It was a crowded week full of penpals, which turned into a very nice time. Sheila is very easy going and sweet. I am sure we will meet again some place in the world, and I'm already looking forward to it..!:-)

We met in Tuesday CS meeting in Riga during her stay here. It was very interesting also due to the fact that this evening was set also as a meeting time with her good friend Bibbi. It was great to meet you here and spend this time together!

Even though I didn't have much time to get to know her, the evening with her and other couchsurfers was great and enjoyable despite my cold. I definitely can assure that Sheila makes a pleasant first impression and would be great to meet her cheerful personality again!

 

Sheila was the soul of the Long Beach CS community, keeping us all united with her amazing monthly events and good vibes over all. She was vital to this community and the others she had an active roll in, and will surely be missed down here in Long Beach. I've hosted a few couchsurfers who've been hosted by her, and they only had glowing comments about her as a couch-host. From direct experience, I can only say that as a social/event host, she was flawless in her execution and welcoming and friendly. I'd feel absolutely safe requesting a couch from Sheila and Matt (Her beau), and would feel 100% confident that I would have a great experience with them!

After being penpals since Nov '02 (wow doesn't time fly!!) Sheila and I finally met up this year when she invited me to meet her in Europe... and so to Latvia I went :)
It was GREAT to finally meet her in person and hang out. She has a cool, down to earth personality, friendly and has such a wonderful infectious smile & laugh that when she smiles or laugh... you smile or laugh. Lovely to talk to and the best part... she is a party animal!! Look forward to visiting her in LA one day!

We was intercommunicate by telephone with friendly and pretty women every trip day. I was happy met with Sheila in Skayline bar entrance-hall with jolly company. My work days sometimes was busy, but some minutes we spend together for me was cheerfully.

Sheila is a really open minded American and though we met only for one day we had an interesting talk and good fun going out together. I guess we could hang out more often if we had the chance!

I met Sheila, when she was in Riga. Unfortunatelly I couldn't spend so much time together as I wished, but from the first view I can say - she is nice, active and very, very smily person :) She a real CS soul :)

It was the first time I interacted with the couch surfing community. I had an enjoyable evening; was glad I became a member of couch surfers.

Sheila is a great CS ambassador for Long Beach. She represents all that is positive about CS - cultural exchange, meeting new people, open minded and new experiences.

4th of july, artwalk, and the dinner last night definitely a great time. Thank you for coming out and hanging out with me and my surfers all evening. It's nice to have someone who's always grounded and always looking out that everyone is always having a good time. You embody what CS is all about :)

Sheila rocks! I was amazed on how many people showed up during her event. Had a great time and look forward to attending more of her events!

 

Sheila is amazing! I am always in awe of her energy, depth and good will. She is so much fun to be around and always surrounds herself with great people- giving so much to everyone she meets. I consider myself lucky to know her and am pretty sure everyone she encounters feels very much the same!

Sheila is awesome in putting together events ALL the time! She loves being around people and experiencing new things! She's a riot to hang out with b/c it's always something new!!

I met Sheila one fateful night at "The Hood" in Hoffman Estates, IL. Good times! I remember her to be friendly and a great dancer :)

Sheila is one of a kind. I am so glad to have met her (again) when she returned back to Cali from her NY adventures. The fun has never stopped every since. Sheila is kind, warm, and wise beyond her years. I love getting completely silly with her because we egg each other on in laughter. She's a beautiful person inside out and I am glad to call her my friend. :)

Oh yeah, I've passed out on her stylish couch. Great looking, but definitely not the most comfortable. I would opt for the air mattress, warm sheep skin rug (if I'm not using it...hahaha) or the pool raft they call a single's air mattress. ;)

As a couchsurfer extraordinaire, Sheila provides the perfect environment to make you feel as if you are truly just visiting with your closest of friends. You will have an amazing time whether you are staying with her or if you are lucky enough to have her stay with you!

The time we spend with Sheila was really good. She has a really nice place to stay! Shelly is really polite, always happy, funny and polite. She organized a CS evening with several nice and funny LA people. Her friend Matt has a really good taste for music, I hope one day he will be a great DJ! If you have the possibility to stay at Sheilas place, DO IT, she´s a really good host!

 

She just like a glue that bring people togehter. We had so much fun drinking, dancing and partying like in the 80's :)

A group of us all went drinking and dancing in the city of Portland. I had a lot of fun with Sheila. I even got to know Portland the way she enjoys knowing every city.

Sheila was really a good host. She took care of us, and organized a CS meeting with LA people. I strongly recommend her for everything. Matt is a nice guy too. The are both excellent. I hope to see them back in Europe

Sheila contacted me via CS and was instantly open and inviting, wanting to connect with local LB people. I went to a barbeque at her place, which is very close to mine and she was instantly friendly and warm. All of her friends are as well... chill, relaxed and very friendly environment.

Sheila is the netowrking queen! I love her. She gets things done. Her talent is connecting with people and connecting people with other. She has a great group of gals. We only got a few minute alone but I felt like they were great. Also, I just felt at home with my Seattle girls. Her home was awesome (Clean and spacious) and I just wish I had more time to spend with her and Matt, her man. Muchicimas gracias. Let's travel together girl! My house is your house in Seattle!

Sheila was a very friendly, open and generous right from the start. I really miss her now that she is living on the West Coast. But we have common interets which I think will outweigh the miles... I hope for a long friendship in the future!

What an introduction to CS! Sheila is great and I'm thankful she welcomed me.

After hearing so much about her, it was nice to finally meet Sheila and Matthew. Really great people who really seem to enjoy the social and cultural aspect of CS, and of course the parties. She threw a really great party at her place in the LBC. I liked the fabulous idea she came up with of combining a pilates class before the party. It made me feel less guilty about enjoying my food and drink afterwards.

 

Sheila emailed me, introduced herself, and (after chatting a bit through email) invited me to a CS party at her home. It was such a fun evening! Sheila is warm and inviting - an absolute pleasure to be around! :-) THANK YOU!!! :-)))))))

Sheila is a beautiful person. She gathered together all the diverse couch surfers of long beach and served as a catalyst for new friendships. She truly embodies the spirit of the couch surfing mission and I am glad that I know her.

I met Sheila for sushi in Long Beach. She seems like a great person; very friendly. She is applying to be a CS ambassador and I think she would make a great addition to that team.

 

I met Sheila through couchsurfing last year and now she's a weekly adventure partner. She is a fisher of cool and friendly people and always with a positive attitude and a party plan. She has an open heart and a lust for enjoying life while being responsible, and never a flake.

 

What a gem--er, a crystal...er, a crystal gem! My life in Long Beach would not be as happy or fun-filled without her and her party planning/organizing skills are unparalleled. So happy that I've connected with her and hope to be friendz 4 ever!

We natually bonded and she introduced me to CS after weeks of partying and such and meeting all these other cool people and in general our vibe together was just powerful and fun and we both are partiers of life! The exposure she brought in my life as a friend has changed my life forever...thank you!

She is the first person that I met in CS. In less than 20 minutes after putting my post, she wrote me inviting me to a party. I had a really good time, and I hope to hang out with her more!

I met Sheila through Aleks and had a great time in the short time we spent together!! I have yet to experience her crystal healing but definitely look forward to it and will be hanging out with her again soon!!!

What great new friends I gained while in Boston! I stayed with Sheila and Matt at their apartment for 5 nights. Sheila is so easy to be around, so easy to get along! Always smiling, full of energy and ideas :) I'm definitely taken by all of her ideas! I'm up for anything this girl's coming up with! Can't wait for other travel adventures with Sheila :) You'll see, you'll feel lucky if you get to CS with Sheila and Matt!

Oh, I was surprized when she told me that she's half-thai :) I was really nice to meet her even thought I had a short time there at the meeting! But hey, next time you come to visit Thailand, please visit me Khon Kaen :)

We met at CS meeting with a boyfriends she was very friendly and at ease with everybody....she was happy to be in Dublin for a short break

 

sheila and her friends came to Dublin and crashed for a couple of hours with us while recovering from Jetlag. Hopefully we'll get to see them again either here or in boston!!!

Sheila invited me and many more people to a party, we had a great time together. it's amazing how she managed to meet so many friends abroad, this girl is really charismatic!

Had lots of fun when Shiela and Matt couchsurfed with us. We went to cool bars and resturants. I'm so happy they moved here and the BNL group has started. I've met many fun people through her.

Sheila is a great person to meet and to hang out with!

Sheila and Matt were inviting hosts and very laid back. They took an interest in my sister's and mine's travel plans and invited us out to join them and their friends. Sheila is also and excellent cook!

Sheila made us feel right at home with all her friends, including making sure we have our own fake moustaches (which I will keep as a memento!)
If you're in LA, it's totally worth the trip out to Long Beach to hang with her and her friends, Couchsurfers and non alike.

Sheila is an extremely positive, fun person who loves to go out and party. She's runs the Boston Nightlife group and organizes events every weekend. These events are top-notch and I always have fun going to them.

Sheila indeed is very easy going. If you wanna know more about crystals you know where to go.

I got to meet the moderator of the Boston Nightlife (yea, thats her)... she let me stay at her place, she cooked mmm yummy... good talks, good partying... good hookah! oh, did i mention those girls are crazy making parties with 15,000 flyers and 20,000 business cards?? :)

Sheila was a great host! She was very welcoming. She runs "Boston Nightlife" so every night there was something fun to do. We went to a lot of fun spots- never a dull moment.

She and other couchsurfing friends took me to club to dancing in Boston, She dancing realy good, hope to dancing with you again :)

Sheila makes amazing food and we always had something going for the evenings which was wikked. Loved hanging out with them and meeting all their friends. :)

 

Yeah Sheila is great and trustworthy but she will keep you up partying til 5am.

Sheila is a very kind host (esp given the spilled vodka and noodles)! We had a really good time cooking dinner and hanging out at her place!

Sheila hosted a group of us for dinner one night in Boston. Its a shame I didnt get to party with her more, she cooks a mean curry and hosted a really nice, chilled gathering.

Sheila housed my friend and I not long after she moved into the area. She's extremely personable and knows her way around the town after barely living there for a week. We were amazed at the hospitality she showed us, and had a real good time in the area.

I met Sheila through a posting on craigslist.org, calling people of all races, backgrounds, etc. to come out, get to know each other, and live it up. I was not disappointed!

I met Sheila "for a drink or two" in Frankfurt two weeks ago. I felt that she was very interesting to talk to and seemed to be a very friendly, open and outgoing person. I hope to meet her again some day to hear more!

 

They're great, the will literally take you out to the greatest places ever. They have a stockpile of crystals, movies, and books, it is hard for you to get bored, oh yeah I forgot about the cat, the cat rocks!

 

Sheila is so much fun to hang out with and one of the best dancers ever! She is sweet, kind, friendly and is full of interesting stories and experiences from her travels and her enjoyment of life.

 

Sheila is the best!!! We had a lot of fun with Sheila and Matt. We had some great dinners at local ethnic restaurans. We ended up staying up late every night drinking wine and talking about all kinds of interesting things. We look forward to them moving here so we can see them more often!!!

Sheila Rocks! While I haven't hosted her, we all got together when she and Matt were in Boston. I can honestly say that she and I are becoming friends. She's just great.

Seems like a fun girl! I first met Sheila and Matthew at a Couchsurfer's gathering in Boston. Both were very friendly, and Matthew took my comments regarding his resemblence to a Spanish flamenco dancer in good humor. Have been to several functions organised by her since. Sheila is a real asset to CS!

 

Sheila was nice, chill, and funny. We talked a fair bit at the BBQ and then spent over an hour in a car, giggling and lost circling the place we needed to be.
I would trust her with my possessions but she's probably not the best person to navigate if you are trying not to laugh so you don't get in a car accident! :D

 

Sheila and Matt are wonderful people, very nice, and really dedicated to showing people just how fun Boston is! No surprise we first met them in a club :)

Fake moustaches, Hookahs,Gay Bars, and good times. Shelia has been a gracious party host on multiple occasions. She lives right down the street from me..and always does her best to accomadate the surfers I don't have space for..she is a cool chick...

Sheila is always the center of the party ... no doubt about that!

Welcoming and Friendly Sheila. Stayed on Sheila's floor for a few nights in Long Beach. We had opposite schedules while I was there, but it was great meeting her and Matthew. They made us feel at home and I enjoyed the Hookah Night. Bake her some cookies and she'll be your friend forever.

Considerate and Accomodating. Sheila and Matt stayed with us for one night. Although we went to bed early, we didn't hear them arrive back to the apartment. Given the noise of the doors to our apartment, they must have arrived through the windows via flying carpet. Sheila also maintained excellent contact prior to their visit. The combination of Sheila's pre-trip planning, and their considerate disposition during the visit make Sheila and Matt a couple worth hosting more than once.

Super Nice. Sheila is the greatest person. She's nice, caring and fun. And she's always where the party is ^___^
