We offer a queen sized bed in a separate bedroom. We live 1 hour by train from the city centre and are happy to pick up visitors from the local railway station.
We have only a budgerigar and do not want anyone smoking at our house.
We are happy to have people stay for up to a week and we can drop them off at the railway station in the mornings and pick them up in the afternoons. Plenty of parking should you arrive by car.
We are quite near the second most popular tourist attraction in Victoria which is Puffing Billy and we're happy to take you up there. We can host any days of the week but work on wednesdays and saturdays.

My interests include reading, scrabble, stamp collecting, travelling and making new friends. I also love animals. I am hoping to go to the USA and Canada in 2012 and then in 2013 to travel around Australia. Having raised 4 children alone I am now doing as much travelling as I can before it's too late to get on a plane to anywhere!
How I Participate in CS
I look forward to making new friends. I've been a member of globalfreeloaders for several years and have hosted lots of travellers. I now prefer CS.
Having been in the UK for 6 months during 2011 I have couchsurfed a lot and met some really interesting people in the UK and France.
CouchSurfing Experience
Apart from one dreadful stay I've had all positive experiences and made some wonderful friends who I hope to see in the not too distant future.
Popular, Nat King Cole and others of this genre. Not into movies much but read voraciously.
Types of People I enjoy
I like outgoing and friendly people. I loathe smoking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy learing something from everyone as we all have something to share.
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
Had and raised 4 children. Travelled to several countries.
Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
CS is the most amazing organisation. It is not just the free accommodation, (even if I won the pools I'd still couchsurf) it's the whole experience of meeting people in their own homes, making new friends, enjoying their company and then having them come to stay with you. Hosting is wonderful too and I hope to continue doing it for a long time.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Everyone else has said it - Audrey is lovely, lively, chatty, bright, interested and interesting, a great guest. She thrashed me at Scrabble and taught me a new card game, told me stories of her travels and livened up my weekend. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
I had a great blast with Audrey. She met with me and my friends in a pub and settled right in. She is a bright and witty, strong woman who is honest and direct - I feel tremendously refreshed after having spent two great days in her company. She cooked me a wonderful meal and we chatted and chatted till late. She has the cheeky spirit of minx. Host her - you will be rewarded with a great fun and thought provoking time. Audrey helped me grow a little and she is welcome back any time x
I loved the chance to play Scrabble (Audrey 2, me nil), and Trivial Pursuit,(Me 2, Audrey nil)!... Its ages since I played. A fine curry on Tuesday night. I hope the rest of your trip goes according to plan. Sorry about the aqueduct, maybe next time.
What can I say?!!Audrey is now my forever friend whether she likes it or not! I found this amazing character on my doorstep and was sorry to see her leave. All she requires is a clock, a lamp and a bed and in return you will get some funny stories, some amazing life tales, some opinions, some insights, some discussion, some
fun and a heck of alot of laughs. But mostly ypu will get a great couchsurfer and a beautiful lady. Come back soon cos I know where you live x

audrey is an intelligent and gracious person who we were delighted to host, unfortunatly for me i had to go overseas the next morning after her arrival but we had a good evening on her arrival and i know that my wife and family really liked her, perhaps we shall cross paths once again sometime and if we do it will be a pleasure

Audrey , just came to my place for one night only , as soon as Audrey arrieved i'know we will go on very well , Audrey is a wonderfull Lady , lots of expierence, many Storys , Travelling in her age is a good thing showing people thats never to late in going out and doing things , i'm so glad to meet Audrey and i' would be happy to host her again any time
I cancelled pre aranged plans to host Audrey as I looked forward to hosting someone in my age group.both being granies we had a lot in comon.
They say we go into our second childhood at 60 wich is true of me and also Audrey as I was amused when she couldn,t resist eating all the blackberies in The Bishops Palace garden.
After showing her around Lincoln she decided to go down memory lane, and took me for a nice drive into the Country to look for houses relatives had lived in.
Shes also a stamp colector, so I think she was delighted when I brought out a whole lot for her to rumage through and help herselfe.
I managed to get to Wales Audrey and climbed Snowdon.
If you get back this way youre welcome,I know a place were theres lots of blackberies we can go pick.I can make you a blackbery and apple crumble as my apples are ready now.
If Audrey asks you to host her I urge you to do so - everyone can learn a lot from this lady who has both guts and gusto and exudes warmth and friendliness the minute you meet her. I spent a great three days with her during which time I felt her become a friend and confidante and not merely someone who surfed my couch. She also makes a mean curry - she made one for me and French guests I had staying at the same time and all I can say is I wish I had asked her to make some for the freezer. So if you ever want a jolly swagman to camp by your billabong - send for Audrey! All I will say now Audrey is "Gidday, see you in Oz!" Good luck and safe and happy travels. x
