I stayed with Antoine for six nights and had a great time there. He has a very nice little place not too far from the center of the city, and he's a very laid back guy. He even let me stay for a nights when he was away. Thanks again, man.

We met in beauvais with other couchsurfers, a night he was passing bye.
Antoine is a very talkative and social person, with an amazing experience of couchsurfing that he is always willing to share ! Really great to have him round !

I didn't host him coz' i already hosted a couple (i live in a little flat) but we met in Beauvais and go have a drink and eat in a nice restaurant ("Chez Nino").
Though Superyami speaks a lot... he his a really nice guy to meet, open minded and fine adviser to be a good CouchSurfer !

We've met here and there at CS-meetings all over Europe. I saw him joking around while making many videos. We talked here and there and I finally ended up really liking him! Antoine is a very nice person who lives 20 minutes of Paris. I stayed 2 days in your home and he organized a CS Picnic in Paris but I couldn't find the people. Chelles it's a good place to stay. See you

 

Each time I met Antoine, I spent good time drinking, eating, joking, laughing ! He's very helpful, open-minded and I like a lot his lifestyle !

I met Antoine at the welcoming party for Freddy in Paris. He is the consummate host, making sure that everyone was settled and enjoying themselves. We had a deep and meaningful conversation about parachuting, NZ, travel and the CS organisation. Antoine is a really committed Ambassador for CS and the fact that Paris is the most active city is due to his efforts. Would love to welcome Antoine in NZ when he comes over and I would love to throw him out of an airplane (with a parachute of course!)

Without a place to stay qnd in desperate need of a couch, Antoine saved the day. Antoine's up front and honest personality was helpful. As such an experienced CSer, I knew exactly what was required of me as a surfer which meant more time enjoying my traveling. So knowledgeable about the area, he helped us fine tune our stay in Paris and really made things fun. Thanks so much Antoine!

Antoine rescued us from the streets of Paris and gave us a home for almost a week. Some of our favorite parts of Paris we saw because of his accomodation and advice. If youre just looking for a free bed or a quick in and out, Antoine is NOT your man. He knows what CS is really about and does a great job of sharing that with his surfers. He can make a mean risotto and has alot of experiences and wisdom to share. Unfortunately, he facilitated my baguette addiction, but I would never trade my freedom from white bread slavery for my experience of having stayed with Antoine :)

Antoine definitely saved our asses. We were without a place to stay and Antoine saved the day. Antoine is the perfect host. He lets you know exactly what he expects and exactly how things will be. He knows so much about paris and might even go out with you. We will forever be greatful to him and his hospitality. He really shows the couchsurfing spirit and even though his flat can get crazy with all the people thats what its all about. Meeting Miguel and Daniela was one of the best parts of our paris trip and that would not have been possible without Antoine. You are always welcome in Florida. Thanks!

Antoine is super cool! He is the best and only host I had ever had lol but I wouldn't have traded the experience. He was hosting 2 other parties as well so house was full and we managed to have great time. He is very prepared for emergencies and is very knowledgeable of the places to visit and the way to go around everything.

Antoine was a great host. I stayed at his place for two nights but unfortunately didnt have much time to get to know him better.
He is very friendly and helpful. The tips he gave about paris were great.

Antoine was a super host for myself and my two friends. We didn't get to spend as much time with him as we'd have liked, but he was friendly, talkative, trusting and trustworthy. His tiramisu was a superb 11PM treat, I was surprised to have slept at all after that! Good couchsurfing experience. I'll get that photo uploaded soon. :)

 

Antoine was a very nice host. He gave me a good offer: Three nights couch and free black wool sweater :D He´s reliable and trustworthy. I feel safe with him, even though he keeps a kitchen knive in the bathroom. He´s also a good cook, even though i have missed to taste neither his kish nor his tiramisu :P Looking forward for him to make me Tiramisu in Kuala Lumpur!

Antoine was a great host, his apartment is nice and he is extra-hospitable! A passionate guy who only wants to get to know people better and to make them have a great surfing experience!

Antoine was COOL! :) My friend and I stayed at his place for four great nights; he made us pancakes, took us out round Luxembourg gardens and in Buttes-Chaumont (my fave place in all Paris!). He's always great company - big, loud and up for a laugh. Ask him nicely and he'll take to the cheapest bar near Place Monge and introduce you to the Paris CS community - a real pleasure! Oh and a little tip if you play chess against him: use the Caro-Kann or the Reti and try to make him castle long :)

This reference has been a long time coming.

Antoine hosted me back in November, it was my last stop in a string of many along the way as I toured Europe. We didn't spend much time together but we managed to have one evening out with a fairly large group of fellow CS'ers. He also snuck me into a trade show which was great to see and better to taste (lots of yummy free food!).

Overall it was a good experience, though it came at a busy time for the both of us as we had hectic itineraries. Next time though, it by nice to settle down a bit and actually take in Paris.

Antoine is an accomodating host and a good guy. certainly one that makes CS a good thing to be a part of.

Me and my friend Natalia stayed at Antoine´s place for three days when we first went to Paris. Antoine was very kind and really nice host. We had a great time toghether, which included bolognesa salce dinner, pic nic in the Louvre and sharing his place with another 4 couchsurfers! Thankyou, Superyami!

 

Watching his profile is impressive. So many couches he proposes ! Antoine is radiant with joy, he likes to host people from all over the world. He's a right-hand man, be sure !

Antoine is an eloquant guy, i met him for the first in a north land call "Nantes" we had fun time together there, and recently i reconized him working at the international fair SIRHA like me. Both that he is someone really helpfull for our community.

Antoine is a really great guy. He put a lot of effort to make sure his guests is having a good time. Trying coachsurfing for the first time, I was nervous, but Antoine made the stay in Paris to one of my best experiences I ever had. I'm in debt to him. He has a passion for skydiving and an attitude to life which has inspired me. So if you're with Antoine, you're in good hands. And he is a great cook!

The thing is that he has a strong personality, which is completely different from mine. He prefers to do the things on his way, and I don`t really like to follow anyone. Antoine is a very comfortable couch, but let's say me and Bruna have a more active life, so that's what we were expecting.
But the point is that there are people that like to be led, and people that don't. I don't like at all to follow someone's plans, specially while traveling. I like to feel free, let the things happen, and just live what happens. It can seems sort of unresponsability, but i was feeling like "not being able to fly".
We told him on friday that we had a date, then we're not coming back that night. So we tried to say, gently, that probably anything could happen and we won't turn back, but i think he didn't get it.
I enjoyed the host, but it's a completely different lifestyle of mine.

Me and my boyfriend surfed Antoine's couch for 3 nights and that was our first surfing experience. There were also 3 more other surfers in his place so that was nice to know more people at once. We went all together to New Year's Eve CS Party and had some fun.

This skydiver is very welcoming and friendly. Although it took some time of getting used to, I would be delighted to go to Paris again.

If i can only meet one person when i go to Paris. It would be SUPERYAMI we meet in LIY and he is a super guy.
I would host him any time.
He is so fun.

Mr Antoine... In fact we didn't spend much time togheter. It was a awkward weekend for both of us. But still I enjoyed having Antoine around for those days. He was the MC of CS. It was amazing on how everybody knew him.

Well I feel quite lucky to have met Antoine for my first CS meeting. I had chance to get his advices about the CS communauty. He's definitely a pleasant person and an easy-talker, which help a lot! :-)

antoine is a very nice and very pleasant person and every time it's really a pleasure for me to meet him in quizz! He is very patient too because i was too clumsy the first evening where we were introduced and i let my glas on him! but he forgave me and since this time he is my teacher in couch surfing because he has a great experience like host.

I had a great time! We were stranded in Paris and Antonin responded to a SOS message...he knows how to surf, how to party and how to drink homemade liquor!!

Just the perfect couchsurfer...a lot of energy and of very good company! And if he starts dancing it's almost impossible to take it out of the dancefloor :)

 

I met Antoine months ago and we have been seeing each others from time to time @ the CS Quizz.
Since the quizz moved to its new location, we had time to speak more and got to know slowly better. I love the guy and he is very cool and funny. We share common passion for diving him in the sky and me with my scuba tanks. And my little finger tell me that soon or later we will find a way to combine the two. ;-)

 

Antoine was an awesome host, who took me in at the last moment and made me welcome right away. He fed me aswell, and kicked everyone's ass at pool!

What leads Antoine life ? The only way to find is to try, and then let the fun and the crazy of this person contaminate you with the fun.

Antoine hosted me and my boyfriend for three nights although he was coming late at night from his non-stop birthday party weekend in Berlin. Antoine is a great guy! Funny, talkactive, full of energy! After his birthday party in Bar25 in Berlin they went to sleep for 3h and then went on to Panorama bar - means when I met him the next day for brunch he was a little tired...But we had fun although!!Blue skies Antoine!!!

I met Antoine in a park in Munich, and, although our meeting was short (I wish it were longer), I enjoyed our conversation about chess. Playing with poi was great! I hope to see him again.

I met Antoan (haha don't know correct spelling but should work) we both stayed at Tiziano's place. I had a blast exploring Venice with him, we got lost a few times, crossed literally every bridge there (well at least it seemed that way), and chased pigeons on St. Marco's square. Antoan is fun, full of energy and really, he never stops talking while awake. It was so nice meeting you Superyami!!

I liked Hosted Antoine. Even if I couldnt be his tourist guide, cause he used to visit my area from 4.ooo metres high, for me, my sister, my relatives and my dogs, was a very nice experience spend a couple of days with him on earth. antoine saved our life when we stranded in paris on our hitch hiking trip to spain. he offered us a shelter that was way better than what we could have ever imagined! a great dinner, belgium beer and a nice enthousiastic and talkative french guy where waiting for us - two tired and hungry girls. he even convinced us to stay one more night and provided us with everything that is necessary to see most of paris in one day ;) just great, really! thanks a lot! we reached spain by the way :)

Antoine, c'est le plus chic des types que vous pouvez rencontrer. Il est accueillant, il cuisine bien, il avait un super matelas à l'époque et il nous invite à prendre un verre même lorsqu'on est plus chez lui. Accueillez le ou allez chez lui, l'expérience sera toujours satisfaisante.

 

Intelligent, energetic, honest, talkative are the best words to describe the impression I had about Antoine.Although I caused him barely an heart attack when I thought his car was been stolen (and fortunately it was just that I was drunk without drinking :-),he was always concerned about fitting our plans and we had a very good time together.The final party was the right ending to a very good experience.

I first met Antoine at the collective in Eisenstadt. From the start, I felt connected with him on a higher level. He is the most genuine, sincere, funny, caring individual I have met in a long time. He was constantly making everyone laugh, camera close at hand. Once again we met at Vinces Paella party in Gossau Switzerland. Once more I immediately fell in love with this guy. BEWARE! the ever present camera. Every awkward/embarassing moment will be recorded. He is always up for a bribe though. Good beer and good whiskey make the best bribes ;) Turn about is fair play. I cant wait to see you again. The beer fridge is too tempting.

Part 1 : For our first CS trip, Antoine hosted us for three days in Paris and it was fine. During our stay, he give us a book about Paris and some maps ! It was very useful ! And he also show us a Polyglot meeting with another CS. Really fine ! Thanks a lot...

Part 2 : we hosted in emergency Superyami during his travel from Munich to Paris. We ate in a restaurant near the cathedral together and showed him Strasbourg. Sure, we had a good time with him !

 

Met the 1st time at the big Cassoulet meeting in Paris. We are both Ambassadors but for quite opposite reasons. His is above all to host people and try to show his conception of his lifestyle whereas mine is to go meeting people all over the world and try to catch their meaning of life without any judgement and expectations. Anyway, the fact remains that we both promote the CouchSurfing project.

 

Well, what can I say about Antoine aka Superyami? He's simply an amazing person, and in many ways (think first of his involvement as an ambassador, traveler and superactive host!!).
Constantly moving (with his videocamera on, of course!), talking & joking & laughing :-), he still manages to be a very good listener, which not every loud guy can do :-D, making him a true pleasure to have around!
After meeting him only once and among a bunch of other CSers ;-), it would be stupid to consider knowing him very personnally - but what I saw of him was nothing but GREAT!
Very much looking forward for upcoming encounters!!

The first time I've seen Antoine was at the New Year's Eve where he has drunk not only soft drinks;) The following times, I have discovered a really different and a really nice man, talkative, dynamic, full of humour and taking initiatives (he don't do things half way). A particular stroke of his personality is that he understands people at 100% not only because of his english language abilities, but he connects quickly to their personality. I think it's not given to everybody to be like that. Is he genetically modified I didn't check but for sure he is a great great CS to meet, so what are you waiting for?!

 

Ah Antoine! What can I say... We are on the same wave length, friends for sure. I just feel at home when I'm at your place, each time you warmly welcome me "like a princess" and we spend intense,crazy, unforgettable moments as the New Year's Eve,the Blue Elephant dinner or the firemen party! I've driven this horrible bear out with my ear plugs...
So happy to come to see you, hike in Fontainebleau and visit the "Salon de l'agriculture"(horses, cows and good wine :)) and finally...missing my train was not so bad!

I stayed at Antoines place in Paris for 8 days in July and 1 month in September. Furthermore we were driving 1500km together.I wouldn't like it to miss one moment with him. Antoine is absolutely honest and is always sharing the moment with people around him in any kind of way. Even You would never have done a sky dive, after staying with Antoine you are getting an idea about it. He is really sharing his passion about gravity. My trip to Paris was very authentic and Antoine is carrying a sicnificant share of it. It was really relaxing to stay at his place and I have to say thank you to him that he is like he is... funny, genuine, helpful, entertaining, enjoyable and full of respect.It is hard to describe him with words.You should met him personally.Antoine is putting a lot of time into the cs project.He was spending the whole week on the video from the paella cs meeting.He put it together by heart.We will meet each other again. Antoine is a skydiver and I guess it’s because of this high adrenaline hobby that he’s so incredibly calm on everything else. I’ve never seen him getting upset – yet alone really angry – about any mishap or other irritating events. It’s like he’s simply expecting such annoyances anyhow and all the more happy he is if things do turn out well (a grey sky on a CS picnic meeting turning blue, finding a parking space {for free!!!} in Paris really quickly…). When I met him for the first time at the Collective in Eisenstadt he with his hat on immediately reminded me of Paddington Bear (no – it’s NOT Gilligan!) and they both have this super calm and friendly approach to life and everybody. He also reminded me of Remy, the Belgium soldier friend of young Indy (Indiana Jones). Not only because of the outward similarities and his similar accent but also because of this way to not let himself get worked up. This makes him of course the perfect host – as I had the pleasure to experience myself when I came to the CS/HC meeting in Paris he organized to celebrate his birthday with about 30 people… Let’s be honest – even if we try to be not to: we CS’er can be a bit stressful at times. But that doesn't challenge Antoine at all! Patiently he waits for you to handle the chaos in your bag pack and offers a hand where it’s needed. The he takes you out “partying the French way” or what it might take to make your stay in Paris a real great time to remember. And then when you’re happy that seems to make him happy, too! I for my part am looking am always happy meeting him again!

 

The official video until now until he met a man with a bigger "one" (i mean the video camera obviously hehe), filming everything and everyone at the Paella. I was in short contact with him by email and I am happy that I finally met him person - when will be next time???

 

I first met Antoine at several meetings and now I also stayed at his place for a crazy long weekend. It was just amazing to stay with him with other 5 hosts at the same time...we could do some snoring competition, unfortunately It's tooks me time before to fall asleep!

I'll let Antoine be my friend even if he doesn't remember meeting me at the CS Paella in 2007 (where we spoke only very briefly) and quickly beat me at 3 games of chess. I can't say much about the "yami", but I can certainly attest to the "super": Super friendly, super active, super dedicated, super crazy, super fun, super smart and super videographer! I met Antoine for the second time @ Cs Paella '08 and i felt in love with thsi great, sarcastic, funny & loveable friend!

Antoine is an awesome guy. He's always willing to help others and a great conversation and party partner. He made an exception just to save my ass when I didn't have a place to stay in Paris. You can learn a lot from him. I'm eternally thankful for your hospitality! Hope you come one day to Madrid to return the favor. And thanks for the tips on using the CS website!

Antoine is a wonderful, kind, funny and fascinating human being. He made my trip to Paris ( and first trip to europe) SO AMAZING. I felt so safe and comfortable and we became friends right away. He is very open and easy to talk to . I hope to know antoine for a long, long time. I will be forever grateful for this experience. Even though you didn't call my name correctly and I didn't understand your tactful humor well, I had really great time in Paris. Inviting picnic, greeen guide, nutella(I miss nutella!), crepe, an amazing experience of underground Paris, last dinner and Julu source! I really appreciated that you gave me everything more than attractions of Paris. Dive into Korea!!

Superyami is really crazy overall when he is drunk. I have to spend more time with him to be as mad as him !!! More seriously he gave me the opportunity to add cs to my life and meet the Paris group.

Antoine invited me to join him and several friends of him to explore the underground network of the Parisian Catacombs, which was the funnest (I think I invented a word) thing I've done in Paris. Lovely man, very dedicated to the CS world and concept. Thank you very much for the invitation :)

 

After have met Antoine in a couple of meetings, after have drank a couple of beers and shared lots of laughs with him (I even learned to enjoy his humour! :D ) I just have to say I'm always glad to see him again.

Staying with Antoine in Paris was such a blast and was well worth the little trip we had to take to get to the city. He makes killer tiramisu (seriously, better than in restaurants!) and his bed/couch is super comfortable. It was fun having late night talks before we went to sleep..it felt like a big slumber party every night, so I loved it! Antoine even let me sleep with his teddy bear, how sweet! Antoine should really quit his job though, that way he has more time to hang around and drink in Paris with me.

I stayed with Antoine for a week with a fellow couch surfer. Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. We had a good laugh, whether it was 7am or 7pm, he managed to keep me laughing! Fed me well, great resource for Paris information, and a comfy bed/futon thing. Amazing experience I won't ever forget.

 

Antoine is a very friendly guy and a good cook and chessplayer - (he can even make a vegetarien lasagne taste good and his tiramisu is perfect).

Most people will have a great stay with Antoine and acording to 99,45% of his references they have, but if you travel on a very low budget you should be aware that the traintickets is more expensive and Antoine expects you to cover your part of the costs (wich I think is fully ok but if you are the type of person who wants everything for free you should consider finding another host)
and if you are easily offended and unable to say stop you could have a problem with his humour.

 

Antoine is antoine, a mix of serious and fun. He is our "big chief" in France. A very good guy with something of crazy inside him, all i like.Keep on going like this Antoine, nice job.

*Antoine came for a lunch (pumpkins soup, chicken with potatoes and mashed chestnut, tiramisu) at our home. We speak about his job and his CS activities. Friendly, joking, helpfull, always busy. He let some japenese goods (Kikoman soy sauces, noddles, chips) to taste.
*We met him in Préfailles with Eric. He invited us to take a coffee with his parents. After, we walked along sea shore looking for shells.

We first had fun in the chatroom (LOTTA fun) then we met at a CS birthday party while i surfed another friend's couch in Paris... Unfortunately we just could share 1 beer... i hope we'll meet to have more beer and fun and other stuff. Beer ambassador => next step ??? ;)
Update : i hosted that feckin guy for a week end and it confirmed that we have same addiction to beer, good food and fun. now is sure that we'll meet again each time possible cuz it's so easy to share all that you have to share with him. Antoine, i'm glad that you represent us cuz you deserve it !

Me and my friends stayed at Antoine's place for 4 nights. It was my first couchsurfing experience and I am very, very happy that he accepted my couch request. He is highly active member CS, we were sharing his place with another couchsurfer and after our leaving he was going to host someone else! Very cool and fun person to be around. He treated my brother and I very well. Knows how to show you around and is very knowledgeable when it comes to fun places in Paris. Goes beyond to make you feel comfortable. Would love to hang out again =)

Antoine is extremely hospitable guy and it seems that he has no problem with any kind of people.
Don't play chess with him, if you don't want to lose... but if you want to learn new moves, he is very good teacher.
Try to persuade him to cook you a chocolate cake, it's delicious!

I almost feel too lucky to have had him as my first CS host. Generous, welcoming, and eager to both learn and teach are just a few qualities of this well-rounded, adventurous guy. He was my first VIP couchsurfing host. He saved us from the streets of Paris at the last minute. It was really cool to hear stories (and watch videos) about true hard-core couchsurfing. I had never grasped the size of the community before. This hole experience made me seriously consider becoming a more active member on the site...
It was a pity that it was only one night and we didn't have more time to chat... But we had a nice french breakfast before he let us back to wonder the streets of paris :)

Me and my girlfriend Natalia stayed at Antoine´s place for three days when we first went to Paris. Antoine was very kind and really nice host. We had a great time toghether, which included bolognesa salce dinner, pic nic in the Louvre and sharing his place with another 4 couchsurfers! Thankyou, Superyami!

There is a big child inside this man... it comes out every now and again aided by beer, irish dancing and some general madness. Highly active members on CS often have reputations which precede them. This aspect of the community doesn't really appeal to my ideal of wanting to treat everyone equally, but sometimes these reputations turn out to be completely true; and even in a short time you can gain a massive amount of understanding and respect for the person.

Antoine is a wonderful person! We shared the same host in Dublin and quickly became good friends. Even when he was a guest I got a great sense of his hospitality. He is honest, sincere, considerate, and easy and interesting to talk to. Antoine has a kind and generous soul. He has a great sense of humour and is good fun to be with. I made some really great friends while I was in Dublin and Antoine was definitely one of them. I was really sad to say goodbye to him and hope we meet again some time. Antoine is a really really nice guy - full of good humour, great mastery of the english language and hence great understanding of most people he meets - with both french and english! I was lucky enough to be shacked up with Antoine while visiting Dublin for St Paddys week. He is full of useful information, great storyteller, and good cook. He is definitely the type of person that an inexperienced couchsurfer can learn a lot from.

I surfed Superyami's couch like my first experience in Couch Surfing (I was a virgin, in his words). It was very pleasant being hosted by him, who I'd call the king of Couch Surfing.
It was very good sleep on his couch, cook, make and drink the brazilian "caipirinha" and learn about Paris and the Couch Surfing!

 

I know Yami from CS chat and ambassador tasks. now we met in person, I enjoyed hanging around 2 days in Paris. Lets see: lunch, walking the famous [Jim Morrison] cemetary, sneaking into Louvre friday evening after bagging for tickets in front, drinks on Seine boat bar, went up Eiffel tower by steps and elevator, McDo and climbing Arc de Trioumph. I really appriciate he offered most of his weekend though we didnt parachute hahaha. Antoine is great, social, very experiended on CS. Our paths will meet surely again. Thank you Yami.

Living at Antoine's house is like being in a family. We were six in the one-room flat at one point and it was really cosy. So anyone wanting an extra family while far away from one's own, including a cordon bleu chef, this is the place.
Antoine saved me one day before I was arriving in paris with no place to stay.

First of all: Antoine is the grandmaster in cooking Lasagna and Tiramisu! Apart from that he has a never ending hospitality and wants to make sure that his guests are having a good time. Merci beaucoup for hosting us, Antoine!

 

We met in Oslo, and spent the whole day roming the city. We walked from the castle to Grønland, via Aker Brygge, hugging the coastline. The day was filed with laughter, culture and discussions. I enjoyed his company, especially his solo dance in one of the halls, that magically came our way :-). It is amazing what can be covered in a day, when one just walks around.
We will have to do the city side next time....:-)

I met antoine only once but it felt like i knew him for much longer. He's a very funny guy, enthusiastic, energized (he danced almost all the night at the party), very welcoming, open minded... there is not enough adjectives to describe him... Just meet him. He's worth the effort.

Antoine and I met in The Netherlands end 2007 at Sinterklaas party. We met again at a common friend's birthday party and here we had a nice conversation about our mutual passion for sportsflying. Well, he likes to dive into the air, I keep it on flying so far. You can jump from my plane, no problem!
Update: I was so glad to stay Sat 06/okt/08 at Antoine's parent's place at the occasion of Lille braderie. Antoine has a big heart and I know where he received it from: from his great parents that showed true interest in all the young people that stayed that weekend at their home. Super sympa. Your father and mother are welcome anytime for a guided, animated walk of 3hrs in Brussels with me as their personal guide. I am already looking forward to it.

Superyami is the meaning of Super-party.
This is a real party animal and a real Icon when there is a CS party.
Meet him and as i met him several times I finally talked enough to know him at several gatherings since 2007.
I am still amazed about his love and dedication for the CS Network.
Now we already have met many times and lets keep on going that way and I'm sure we will meetup again in future.

 

Antoine come to each big parties I organise in Lille (and we saw us several times during meetings in Rotterdam, Paris, Aix en Provence or in Lyon), we can see he's a real Chtimi, because he has the spirit of the parties and the beers. He is a very funny and nice person, it is really a honor to know him, and to have sleep with him in Aix en Provence ;) !

We had a drink in Angers with antoine's cousine. We talked about our CS experiences and further more about traveling and experiencing living abroad. it was friendly and very nice. I guess we both had some stars shining in the eyes while telling about our good memories. definitly antoine is a great ambassador ! i'm glad to know him.

How to describe Antoine simply.
He was one of the 1st CS I met at this big cassoulet gathering. Such a nice momet after all we have not stop to cross each other in different places 5th, Private parties Lyon Who knows where will be the next time.

Antoine was very generous hosting Eric and I with only one day notice!! He made an incredible dessert, Tiramisu, and it melted in our mouths! Would have loved to have it for breakfast too! We met in Lyon, and we stayed at Van's place. When I was there for the first time, Van tried to introduce me to him, but his camera was in front of me. Btw, we spent great time around Lyon, I enjoyed his videos (waiting for the next one) ;) and we had a lot of fun in Lyon's parties! He is really cool!

 

Such a fine Gourmet couldn't represent better France!
There has always been good food involved when partying with him. He even prepared a great carbonara at Van's place when joining us in Lyon for the festival of lights. But what I appreciated must was his curiosity to retry Oysters he thought he didn't like.

Useless to say how much fun he is, attentive to all and an extremly competent filmmaker!

Ben, avec ce mec on s'était rencontrés une première fois en septembre, parce que monsieur l'ambassadeur nous avait fait une visite de courtesie. Et du coup Monsieur s'est plu au St Marcelin et au Beaujolais et le voici retourné pour la grosse Fête de la Lumière 2008. Et cette fois on a fait connaissance autour d'un déjeuner bocusien déjanté aux huitres et vin blanc et aux algues vivantes...(voir l'anecdote anale dans le Video à venir). Et ouais on s'est bien amusé dis-donc, sur il y aurait des prochaines

 

Oh My god!! There are some CS experiences which make you realized how this project is so amazing and so wonderful. To host Antoine is definitely one of them. Introduced by a mutual CS friend during the Paella CS meeting 2007, he promised to come to visit us in Lyon.
More than hosting one of the most active Couchsurfer i know, i've hosted a friend. His ideas and philosophy of life fit perfectly with mine. His taste for the good food and wine too ;)
It was a great pleasure to host Antoine and now must he knows that our home will forever be open to him.
I hope to see him very soon for anothers crazy parties, in Lyon, Paris or anywhere else in the world.

 

it was a short meeting one evening in winter and we can say that we were charmed to meet Antoine even if we regret not having been able to accomodate him as we wished. The next time we promise to better do! More than an apple juice, it will be good a tartiflette! ; -)

Wow that guy is a powerhouse ! There is no way you can miss or escape his presence. During the day, he is everywhere (even filmed me waking up...). He is unpredictable and generous with his energy. A fun guy to be around with excellent CS stories.
During the night, the powerhouse effect continues. The walls rumble, the doors shake. Thankfully there was two sets of walls that isolated me from his snoring. Wow SuperYami, you rock 'da house !

Superyami Antoine is a CS icon and totally addicted to this website and he's not to blame as I now know why. He's a totally fun and open guy walking around with his camera all day and filming everything. Can't wait for the new video to arrive on his website to enjoy it all again and maybe to see myself in the crowd sometimes.

 

He is cool. First met him at the Sinterklaas party in 2006, armed with this torch and camera where we had such fun with the inflatable doll ..
Loved his film and it was just great to meet him again this year.
Update: Met Antoine in Vienna for Birgit's b'day party, but now without the camera. It was really nice spending time with him in the museum talking art, life and exchange ideas in the bar and made fun at Birgit's party.

I had a wonderful time at Antoine´s! Beaujolais...guys dressed like girls...fred´s birthday party. It was eventful! He is extremely hospitable and very welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay there and would stay there again.

And he just became more than that since I can now simply call him a FRIEND. We've already shared tons of adventures, road trips, visits and parties in Paris plus various places around Europe. Antoine, where to start.... Just reading through other references gives you a good idea of how he is, for me he full of energy, sharing vocaly (sometimes very abruptly), sharing emotionly, caring and giving and really puts alot into CS. The three nights that we had there were always full of conversation as both of us I'm sure doesn't like a quite room :) Also I had better mention about the cooking that we had on the last night, absolutly fantastic, wine, roast beef, salads, mashed spuds and of course traditional tiramisu! How else could one want to spend there last night in France?

 

I experienced lot of feelings in two days with super miam-miam from joy to anger etc...Because Antoine is someone full of life,who knows what he wants, with a deeply rooted caracter and nature.He can sometimes be sheer, but endly you realise he'snothing but a big child liiking for and giving lot of love.

My first impression about Antoine was like "he's cool, but totally mad!" :) You know, it was few days after Italy-France World Cup mess. One of the first guys I talked with due to the fact he presented me the school during the welcome tour. Day by day discovering a junkie CS animal, dedicated and always available to help and of course having fun with everyone. Not surprisingly he's organizing a big event in his Paris. Great man!
UPDATE: Again we met in Paris for his crazy birthday (thanks a LOT man for that!) and the Nye at (guess guess...) Vince's place. If I wasn't totally sure about his catalyzing party factor, now I had the confirm. Also he revealed a touching human sensibility. He's absolutely cool, also when he forgot his plane reservation time! :)

Antoine is a NUT!! Funny guy with so much energy. Although we met during work experiences, he is the one who turned me on to CouchSurfing! It's good to see people with passion like his. Great guy!

 

Antoine is an upbeat and outgoing skydiver who lives and breathes couch surfing. We surfed three nights on his couch and he introduced us to rugby and tartiflette. He is a very involved host!

 

We met at several meetings. Energetically running around with his videocamera Antoine always captures the good mood of the meetings (and contributes a lot himself ;D).

Antoine is a very friendly and funny guy. He came-over to Bordeaux and organised a CS meeting which allowed us all to meet, most of us for the time. He's got a lot of experience to share and a good sense of humor: a generous entertainer.

 

Although we have very different personalities, Antoine is really committed to the couchsurfing project and I really respect that. Thanks for the ride!

 

What can I say about Antoine that hasn't been said before??? He's a fantastic guy and from what I've heard, a great host. I met him in Paris at many, many CS meetings and gatherings and he was funny and fun to hang out with and chat. One day, we'll go skydiving! See you again one day! =)

 

Antoine is a cool, laid-back guy. He likes to party and took me to my first parisian night out. The following day we chilled out at a picnic with fellow CSs and I had the opportunity to meet his parents.
Antoine is a very welcoming host who saves you from the pouring rain (thx again dude!). If you're not up for partying, he's got a great collection of films, can show you some of his sky diving stuff (I want to go and sky dive one day with you) and can order some tasty pizza.

Antoine is the first couchsurfer i met.. and is probably a major part why i love it so much. I first saw him on TV and then in a pub. He was the first to talk to and welcome me.
He he's always there for a beer, a diner or whatever. Antoine is THE couhsurfer. (if i were not living in Paris i will probably couchsurf with him )

Anne: Antoine, well, he's a great guy, but there isn't a lot I can say because I only stayed one night. But what I can say is positive. He and I chatted a lot about couch surfing, and he showed me some of the videos he's made of meetings. He fed me, and gave me beer, and drove me to the station the next morning. And wow! my friend and i stayed in antoine place for 4 nights. he's a nice guy who always tries his best to help us! he gave us advices in buying metro tickets, we cooked together the 2nd night, it was really fun and i like antoine's mom's recipe which's just delicious!!! and we spent a day visiting paris together, guided us to see the calm/tranquil side in some narrow streets in paris!

Superyami is an absolutely great host. After being his guest I realise that CS is CS because of people like him. I totally guarantee you......you will have a wonderful time being his guest. He has the perfect knowledge of Paris. Follow his suggestions and you can have a very satisfying trip of Paris even if you are there only for a couple of days. At the same time you will have hell lot of funny interaction.........may be watching an exciting movie sitting on his wonderful couch. Those will definitely be one of your best CS moments. He suggested me a walking tour of Mozmart and that was my best tourist experience in Paris.....Hope to surf his couch again for sure.......

I first met Antoine at the CSC in Eisenstadt where we had a blast! Then again we met in Rotterdam and finally he surfed my couch for the New Year's Eve party for a few days. I met Antoine in Rotterdam (Sinterklaas meeting) and when I nearly came to the end of my Eurotrip he let me stay on his couch for my last night, even on short notice. A very comfy couch, but mind some noises in the night...
It's always nice to see Antoine again, when travelling abroad to the most exotic places like the Swiss mountains... and more to come!

Antoine, my favourite french man :-) Had such fun with you at the CS paella...from the laughs over, well, everything, to the deep conversation at 4am in the morning (or was it 6am?). I loved your passion for CS, your honesty and the fact you seek to experience meaningful interactions rather than the superficial kind. Thanks for the great company the whole weekend. You will be the reason I return to France!

 

At first he made me feel more like I was CouchSurfer "nr 125" than Douglas his guest. But once I started to know him better he really was a splendid host who lives for his CS'ers. He is a super guide for Paris with lots of good connections! Helps you out as much as he can. Thanks for everything man!

Antoine has a big heart, is sensitive and really loves CS. He trusted me as a guest and it really gave me an insight into his character. Take the time and you will be rewarded with someone who really wants to connect with people. Peace out mate.

Antoine was a real life-saver. His friend Jean had to take care of his kids for the weekend so he brought us to Superyami's. Antoine/Superyami was already hosting two Asian girls so we were very grateful that he was willing to take us in as well.
From the moment we met him, he was very welcoming. He actually had an delicious meal ready for us when we arrived (as well as the wonderful croissants and coffee every morning). He was really knowledgeable about Paris and what things we should do while there. One of our favorite parts of the four nights we stayed with him was getting a tour of Paris at night from his car, not to mention our wonderful Thai dinner on our last night in Paris together. After we left to go to Rome, we found out the guy we were supposed to stay with in Naples backed-out on us. We e-mailed Antoine to find out if he knew anyone in Naples and he gave us many suggestions. Without him, we would not have found the amazing host we had in Naples (Mariano). Thank you soooo much for everything Antoine! You were wonderful, we hope everyone has a chance to surf your couch.

 

Unfortunately we haven't talked so much, but I can guarantee Antoine's next Fellini! Always around with videocamera he took every second of the party. Always ready to have fun!

 

Antoine was kind enough to host me since I was having a hard time finding host in Paris. However, what I did not appreciate in my experience with him was the fact that he made me pay 12 euros for fish after the fact that we have eaten it already. I would have appreciated if I was informed at the beginning that I was suppose to pay for the food that I consume. In addition, I also felt that he was playing mind games with his surfers. For example,I only got his number and no directions to go to his place. I know the directions to go to Chelles is posted on his profile, but he does not live right in front of the "RER". Thank goddness I knew how to speak French, but that does not justify his actions. As a foreigner and a first timer outside of my comfort it wasn't very considerate in his part. I can say this because if I have to compare him to my other hosts Antoine fails miserably in my eyes. But then again, that is only my opinion. Nonetheless, he was very enthusiastic about his culture and sharing it with me was a great eye opener to the French culture.

 

I stayed with Antoine for five days, although he did offer for me to stay ten days. I left early because I did not feel comfortable and experienced alot of uninvited comments and INAPPROPRIATE jokes were made on his behalf. I do not treat my guests like they are children. I left money for a dinner he prepared and charged me for it only the day I left. i was on a budget but would have been happy to contribute to the meal had i been notified at the time.

 

One local surfer!!! I've never surfed parisian couch but sometimes that could be nice! Nice talks, lot's of fun! What else? Oh yes, he's eating a lot of Nutella!!!!!! See you next time!

I surfed Antoines Couch and he is not only really funny and full of energy but also able to talk about serious stuff and hold a conversation. We went out a lot and he showed me around his city and he is doing a lot to make sure that guests feel welcome. There is no way not to like Antoine. I am glad that I know him. I met Antoine last may in one of my first cs meetings in Paris and then in various cs meetings. Realised that after the "crash" of the first cs project he's not in my friends' list, so I have to add him again, I cannot help it! :p He is a person that you cannot pass by without noticing, crazy boy, full of energy and joy each time that I meet him, a great drinker and "bon viveur" ;) , he loves beautiful women ;) :p and lifts up the spirit in every meeting that he assists! It's not by chance that he's a CS ambassador! Ah, and I like his...greek feet! :p :p :p Don't believe his lies: I'm not flirting with him, moreover "outrageously"... he wishes I would!!! :p :p :p

Thanks for everything! The sweet darling made chocolate cake for the surfing ladies, sorry that I was allergic to it :( and filled my computer with usefull stuff. Antoine really beleives in the CS:project and who could blame him. This guy is creating his own peace project.

We couldnt have asked for a better host while visiting Paris. Antoine has been a perfect host. Making Crepes for us as well as teaching us how to make the best Tiramisu in the world. He also conviced me to join the next meeting in London! a guy to meet and to meet again!

 

Tonton Yami is my CS idol. He goes around in CS gatherings (organised by him, incidentally) and grabs on tape and film what is engraved in all our hearts and memories. Antoine is a genuine CSer. A vowable member and friend I would definitely recommend.

 

Antoine is a true member of CouchSurfing... one of the very active and very good in Paris. I always had a lot of fun with this guy in every meeting we did in Paris and also for trip by example to invade Rotterdam two times, one time at Köln, for a bike trip too, and soon for other funny parisian trip/invasion... so a good person to travel with too!
And now he's also our filmaker of CS parisian event and trip!!! ;)

Antoine is a great cook, at least with chicken in garlic and lasagne (which was great even though I had it cold a day after he left, yum). Antoine is CS, through his life, blodd, and sweat. He even happened to help me with a email issue a had a week after he left. Thanks man.

Incredible nice... kind of my protector in Paris!!! Antoine is the CSer member I probably know better! I couchsurf with him twice.. the 1st time was in December and then I went back in March! He is a very funny and nice guy, and we always ended up having loads of fun.. In our first "experience" together we had quiet nice days in town and went to very nice restos.. and in my last morning I got crepes for the breakfast! In the last time I was more confortable because I already knew him and it was much easier! He took me to the Paris monthly meeting and I met other people from CS living in Paris.. including Jean, who was my next host.. and also to a dinner at Catalina's place! Summarizing he is a wonderful french guy.. but I must advice that he snores, and be careful because I was told he also sing and speak while is sleeping ;) For sure I'll crash at his place for more 100...000000 times =) ***

Antoine is one of the guys you can have a good party, he's really openminded and you can talk with him very nice.

Antoine is a famous couch surfer in Paris and he deserves it! So friendly!

staying with antoine was a well wickid experience. hes fun, available, good for a laugh, makes an awesome tiramisu, and is real helpful. He taught me lots of new things in french, took me along to 2 couch surfing group meetings\activities both of wich were great and gave me the opertunity to meet lots of new fun and interesting people. we partied together, cooked together, watched films. and by the way the word couch does just not do his deluxe luxury fold out bed justice, jeepers it was comfortable. he even let me hang out at his place by myself when he had to go to work early or was not comming home til late. would recommend staying with him to anyone. hes really active in the cs community and was a great introduction for me to what couch surfing is about. cheers :)

Very happy outgoing guy...he took us to a fun pub in Paris where we danced the night away. I had a great time!!! See you next time!!!

 

Antoine is one of the CS friends met at the Collective that grew to be more than just CS friends, since we keep meeting all around Europe (and maybe all around the world in the future?) in the last few months. He is extremely fun to be around (especially when he's had more than just one drink;)), but you can also find yourself amazed by his sweetness and sensibility if you catch him in one of "those moments". Oh!!!I was almost forgetting....he snores!I mean he really SNORES, so, be prepared, ha ha ha:D

 

It took me a week to write down his reference cause I wanted to say something original.......but in his case it's impossible!! Antoine is the perfect Ambassador: friendly, enthusiastic, totally CRAZY and a great cooker ( man your lasagna was as good as a real italian one!!!).

Superyami cooked us a wonderful dish of pasta. A very good cook he is!

 

This reference is just a cap on all the good things that people have said about Antoine. In exchange for some respect and consideration, there is nothing that Mr. Superyami would not do for you. It is so rare that I find someone whom I can trust and rely upon. So it is an honour for me to have experienced such a Character *smiles*. Difficult to describe until you experience it for yourself. Though I do confess that it took me a few meetings to really understand who the real Antoine is. Just remember, a little acknowledgement goes a long way! Thank you Antoine and I will be seeing you *smiles*.

Superyami, was the first person, I met in the couchsurfing experience, and it was like divine construction. He's helped me get all set up, and has been rediculesly kind. Hilarious and loving guy not to mention aswell.

Qui ne saute pas n'est pas surfer

"Antoinette, gentil Antoinette, ..." ;o) Superyami's a great and (for a frenchman ;o) ) eloquent guy with very vivid eyes, who isn't crazy enough to climb foreign tree houses, but who definitely is for chasing giant snow flakes with us through the city center of St.Gallen. :o) He's got a wonderful sense of humour and we had a lot of fun!

 

Antoine dosen't at all need my reference. He's a great guy without it. Nobody probably ever needs to leave him a reference again, because he'll still be cool in some years. However, he deserves references anyway, because he's enjoyable, funny, smart, and a very high quality surfer... hopefully i'll get to sample his hosting style. He's a blast!

 

I met Antoine in Eisenstadt, Rotterdam and then Rotterdam again! He was always cheerful, always laughing and always in for a joke. He's a very warm and welcoming Surfer that is welcome at my place anytime. Even when I have to save him from being lost in Rotterdam at 2 o'clock at night... A bientot!

 

Antoine was an extremely gracious host. He seemed to make it a personal concern that we (my travel companion and I) thouroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris. He was always in good spirits and I am glad to have met such a warm, welcoming person.

My best host in Paris! ...not only hosted me - drove me in his car in boot (coz all the seat were already occuped) and let me even to sleep there - so he has invented new definitely new thing - CufrSurfing!
Next day in the morning he drove me about 100Km out of France and dropped me on a good place for hh to Switz... And even took me into a big shopping center where I bought new jeans (scating in Paris did destroy last one) and took me into cheepest hipermarcet to buy food for surviving few days in expensive Switz.
What more to say ...can you imagine better treatment?-)

 

He's French, likes to drink, jump out of planes, has a crzay side and is a very funny guy who knows how to party!This dude is definitely worth meeting.

 

Antoine contributed his amazing energy to the Paris Parties in November, shooting a movie and making jokes and being ferociously good fun. But he also took great care of a surfer who had a poor experience at the party and with her original host; he stepped in as a bit of a hero, and for that he really has my respect. And if you have the chance to see the man behind the camera, he is also an incredibly intelligent, passionate, aware person. (Updated after a 6 AM conversation in Koln.)

 

A guy full of fun, he makes everybody laugh. We had so much fun at all the meetings we've been to. Crazy CS invader from Paris (not really, but close by)...

Brilliant ambassador of our noble project. Full of energy and always having fun (at least over the rotterdam weekend - maybe he's a pain in the ass in everyday life but somehow I doubt it) he is also a budding film director and fine wine connaisseur (a few of many qualities).

he's for me a real boss of couchsurfing. already here to make party and a lot of people. he's very funny and open-mind. like steff you can count on him if you have problem. he can always find a solution. I love this guy. It's the best cameraman of the world.

I had the best time with superyami during my partyin weekend for Paris! He is the prime example of what a CS host should be! I had a great time chatting with Antoine and partying with him in Paris. He's inspired me to get the Scottish couches organised and active. I hope he visits me in Edinburgh sometime!

Antoine “plays” perfectly the part of the unpredictable person. He is really hiding everywhere (supervising air’s movements, I guess)...waiting to emerge and surprise. He is an animated character… a “bon vivant”, always surrounded by friends and visitors (ready to rescue them souls), ready to “lend” them a big dose of funny insanity, and colour any moments... CS is your clothes, absolutely comfortable. We’ll spend a lot of other parties and events together, I’m sure. Salut Boss!

Wow, I can safely say that if you have surfed with this dude, you really have had an experience worth retelling! Every night was an interesting one. For example, one night he stuffed me full of foie gras in a special meal he made, pushed red wine in my face, and then made me dance until 4 in the morning(I'm not complaining, just amazed at his spirit!) Yes, this is one screen name that lives up to his character, and I am proud to be able to say "I surfed with SUPERYAMI!"

we'd met a few days earlier to hang out, so when a planning failure left me temporarily homeless I made a late-night call to Antoine.. and if my plan to crash for a night turned into half a week of 6am clubbing, blanket-covered rides home in the boot, and innumerable parties, well, who could complain? :) truly a great, considerate, very funny guy!

Antoine was a great host. He had his gf staying there as well and she was also awesome. I ended up getting sick while I was there but they took my companion out so he could get pictures of Paris and stuff.

Antoine is funny, he loves to record everything, is genuine, and pretty damn fast on his bike! I've always loved running into him 'cause we tease each other like mad and both have a dry sense of humour. And on the bike trip, he and marcy shared thier chocolate cookies with me, soooooo sweeeeet!

He is THE party guy of CS Paris...I could barely imagine that so many meetings were organized in Paris! What's most important : he shares not only hospitality but also good mood and enthusiasm!

Originally planned to stay for three nights, but ended staying a week at Antoine's place. Fun to talk to and hang out with. He has a great movie and music collection.

Antoine, host extraordinaire, made my experience in Paris absolutely unforgettable. An amazingly generous and fun host, he not only cooked me delicious meals, took me out on the town and introduced me to some wonderful Parisian CSers; he also made me feel completely at ease and at home. I am so happy to have such a good friend in Paris!

My first Couchsurfing experience (as a host), it was definitely worth it. Antoine seems to be truly involved in Couchsurfing, I guess he'll soon become a mainstay of the French CS community. Good luck, skydivin' buddy.

 

The local community master of the Collective, he has such a grasp of how communitites work and how you can get a strong local network of surfers where you live. In addition to that, I really enjoyed talking with Antione. He is very insightful and thoughtful. He is so tender and passionate and it is obvious from his first words that he cares very deeply for the people of the world. Great guy. Look forward to getting to Paris so we can meet up again.

 

Antoine is one of the most kind hearted person I know. A bit rough on the outside but so sweet and caring person in the inside. He's a great host and lots of fun as well.

Antoine should already be an ambassador!! Antoine was my first CS experience and hosted me on my first solo trip abroad. He is incredibly generous and made me feel completely at home, picking me up at the RER station, teaching me some French tips to help me get by, and offered me tips on finding a place of my own in Paris. I met Antoine in the summer of 2006 on the Vienna Collective, where he was a rather silent feller who did not like his picture taken, but cooked a huge and lovely pasta for a bunch of thankful hungry mouths, including myself. In the same year's december, I had the pleasure of hosting him and finding out more about his love for skydiving, his enthusiasm for hosting and just how pleasant he is to have around. Somehow I forgot to leave a reference in both cases. So in order to refresh my memory, I'd be more than delighted to meet up again some time soon, now that I'm back in Europe, i.e. Cologne, at the other end of the Thalys fast train to Paris. Big hugs will be on the schedule, definitely.

 

What a great pleasure was to meet a founder of the glorious FLY TEAM. CS will fly and sing for sure! :)
