There's a spare room, but it's iffy on whether I can use it -- depends on my roommate. Feel free to inquire, but the extra bed in my place is a total "maybe." But it is a twin bed (in a tiny room).

The most serious goofball you'll ever meet. I'm a completely split personality -- between an outgoing, sometimes crazed performer and a shy (groan -- loathe describing myself) thinker. When I'm on stage I want every ounce of attention; when off, I like to listen, and drink in new places, experiences, people, and especially ... stories.
How I Participate in CS
I just started surfing! I went all the way from NYC to OR on couches, while chasing down some comedy gigs.
CouchSurfing Experience
Love it. Have yet to meet a bland host, everyone has been fascinating and delightful in their own way -- and I thought I didn't like people! But that is the nature of this type of experience -- taking chances, meeting strangers -- when we encounter the new, out best selves often come to the fore. This is an incredible new international community.
Interests
Stories, comedy, drama, film, stage, music, architecture, nature, road trips, driving, hiking, sight-seeing, travel, new things, weird things, unusual things, the variety and consistency of humanity
Philosophy
it's evolving -- whatever it ends up being, I'm sure "philosophy" will seem a rather grand title for it
Teach, Learn, Share
I can direct actors.
I can coach actors to break down classical text.
I can punch up jokes and scripts.
I can perform stand-up comedy in your town.
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
Most recently just saw the world's largest sea cave on the coast of OR, just north of Florence, right on the PCH. Just beyond the reach of the crashing surf, hundreds of sea lions lay heaped atop one another like denizens of Hell in a Goya. Some slept, some wrestled, most howled their low, guttural howl in that vast, resonant cavern -- an amazing sight, but a more amazing sound!
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Ash is a legend in the Cork couchsurfing scene due to his comedy club. There is a lot more to the man than a few stand up gags. He amazes me with his insight into the world.

Positive
I met Ash and his girlfriend after a good few emails & we chatted a little at a Comedy Festival he participated in but unfortunately as he had other commitments they left early and there was not much time to get to know each other. I can say he was friendly, polite and left the room clean & tidy :) Thanks for the wine Ash, hope to see you getting more active in the CS community!

Pulled the old last-minute stop card, but I'm happy he did. We had a good time driving around Cleveland's more unsettling parts before getting unlost, preceding other antics. I'd host him any time.
