Personal DescriptionI am a down to earth guy from eastern Tennessee. I love traveling, meeting new people and having fun. I enjoy conversation over a good beer. I enjoy learning and practicing Spanish. I love to sail, race sailboats, hike, mountain climb, bike ride, social dance and read books.
Video from a big trip I took after college: http://vimeo.com/8326219How I Participate in CSHosting:
Can now host again now that I've moved to Greenville, SC
Surfing:
I surf a lot while traveling and try to be as respectful and clean as possible. I try to leave a place nicer than it was when I arrived and share something I know about life. I've cleaned kitchens and spoke to a class as favors for CS hosts and hope to have more great exchanges. I view CS as a relationship and not a means for cheap accommodation. I have made real friends all over the world and hope to meet more.CouchSurfing ExperienceCouchsurfed all over the world from the US to Panama, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Australia, Carsurfed in New Zealand, Dubai, Hungary, Ireland, Holland, Slovenia, Austria and Iceland.

What do these numbers mean?
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you. References (43)43Positive 0Neutral 0Negative

From Michael Kuss Boulder, United States Mar 8 Positive Chris is a really great guy - he took me into his home for 3 days in Greenville during a trip for work. We ended up doing hot yoga, climbing, and having mexican dinner with his french friends - one of the funnest couchsurfing trips ever. Thanks for the great time in south carolina Chris!
From Ryan Russell Charlotte Amalie, US Virgin Islands Dec 13, 2011 Positive Chris and his friends were awesome guests. Had a great time hanging out with them!
From Constantino Diaz-Duran New York, United States Sep 13, 2011 Positive I couch surfed at Chris's place for a night. He and his roommates were pretty laid back and friendly. We chatted for a while, hung out on the porch, had a few beers, and had some down time just working on our respective computers. We even had dinner together, which I wasn't expecting. The couch was really comfortable, and they had towels, etc. which they let me borrow. I'd be happy host any of them when I get back to NYC.
