Dank je wel Thomas! We had an amazing weekend in your city ;-) Antwerp. Thomas is an open-hearted, adventurous and courteous person. His guided tour, the beer recommendations, the cosy beds and especially the breakfast were awesome..!

 

Thomas is one of those people you just learn from. I was introduced to him by Liesbeth and every time I travel to Antw I look forward to seeing them both.

Thomas rocks! While we got to Antwerpen late at night and left early the next afternoon, Thomas was able to bestow much knowledge upon us. We got the recipe for world class margaritas and tons of photography tips. At the end of a long night it was only Thomas and Luke awake when the Hurt Locker credits rolled.

He and his girlfriend, Liesbeth, are super generous people and we only wish we could have spent more time with them!

As I am certain you will find from the numerous posts prior Thomas and his gf Lisabeth are nothing less than amazing! I stayed with them and Remi and got infused into the Belgium lifestyle and more! It was honestly more than I could have asked for and even though it was my first CS experience it was worth every moment! Thank-you so much!

Thomas is a very enthausiast guy with a great energy and fun 2 be around.
If you have him in your house or stay @ his place I believe you'll have a good time.

I had a great time with you Thomas, Elisabeth and the two cats...it was just for one night but we shared an interesting theatre experience and I'm happy we discover Troubleyn Centre together. I noticed among both of you a positive and creative spirit, very open and active. You also told me more about the CS fantastic network, and i feel i have been very lucky to have my first experience with you. moreove..i learned how to do Antwerpen lasagna!! WOW

 

Helpful, generous, trustworthy and VERY funny - that's Thomas. He offered me a last-minute couch for the Antwerpen New Year's Kick-Off meeting, even though he didn't have the time to take part himself. So I had the chance to see this fantastic city for two days, thanks to him. And stay at the most spectacular place I've ever couchsurfed so far. Just hope I can ever make this good, man! I'm going to save money to buy a marble chimney for my living room...

He was the great host of the BW unconference weekend in Antwerp.
It is hard to believe that there is a person like Thomas who is absolutey relaxed about 25 people jumping around his house, entering every single room and not letting him a second of privacy. Although I was not hosted by him I spent more time at his place during the BW unconference that at my hosts place. THANKS a MILLION!!! Would have loved to dance tango with you :-)

Thomas changed my life..
He introduced me to CouchSurfing and a new period had started full with love traveling and magic. Thomas is a great guy, I love being at his beautiful place in Antwerp, party with you and walk around the city. Its always great to see you in Amsterdam, I loved having you at my place. We also worked together and I keep on being overwhelmed by your bright shining optimism and hyperactivness..Currently my cat is long term couching his place..Thanks for evereything and keep up the goods!:)

Thomas is a really nice guy that hosted me so well in antwerpen. He has a nice house with cool roomattes and a cat.

 

Thomas was really great conversation. I didn't get to finish learning a mile a minute about Belium & Flemish & all my favorite beers. He's an A+ traveler taking with him really damn good stories. I wish i hadn't had to leave. I hope we meet again.

Very smart guy with enough ideas to put the rest of us to shame. It was interesting sharing our opinions about CS project. I hope to see you again for more enlightening moments :-)

We first met at the New Zealand CouchSurfing Collective, where he was definitely one of the most active people.

T is smart, talkative, always busy and energetic. He's both an excellent host and guest and very involved in the bright side of hospitality exchange community (i.e. BeWelcome)

We worked together. Making films with youths. This was a very nice experience!
I learned a lot from him, especially how to deal with people and how to stay positive. He is very enthousiastic! A hardworking man who, i believe, will achieve a lot in the world of film/ documentary.

When Thomas heard of my plans for arriving to Paris via Brussels from Amsterdam in some bus of doubtful existence, he generously offered me to stay at his home and take the train the next day. Not only was this convenient, I'm very glad I ended up there. Thomas is fun to be around and so are his room mates. Plus, he gave me everything I could ever need during my stay. We can say then, he's a great host.

Thomas and his cultural-experienced huisgenoten hosted me for one day in this charming Antwerpen of theirs... And quite cozy house I must say! :D Was a pleasure meeting this trio of jovial physics-oriented "tangoers"! ;-)

Thomas and his friends, and girlfriend, were absolutly great. I went to a antique market with one of his friends on the first day and on the next day wandered around the city on my own. He and his girlfriend took me to a open stage night and to an african bar. And finally someone had the patience to teach me how to use chopsticks! :) Thanks Thomas :)

I have spent a few at his Appartement, I had great conversation with him, specialy about CouchSurfing organization. Take care - David

didn't happen to spend much time,but totally enjoyed Thomas company ,getting some useful tips how to order beer in Belgium,taking a tour in his castle and having interesting conversations.

 

Thomas is simply a great guy. Very active and knows all hospex networks on a deeper level.
He also helped me in getting started with getting to know the structure behind the networks in order to get myself understanding programmers matters for a better perform of all volunteertasks as normally the volunteers are so far away from the programmers this was a thing that I couldn't miss.

 

Thomas hosted my friend and I even though he was moving into his new apartment and it was his birthday. He's really open and funny--he made us feel so welcome. Also, we enjoyed the random outbursts of singing! Stay with him if you can.

 

I stayed for a few days with Thomas and his roommates in Antwerp and had a really good time there! Got to meet a lot of cool people at his house-warming/birthday party and see a lot of the city. He's just moved into a real big place right by the city-center, so it will definitely be perfect for CSing. He probably doesn't really need my recommendation, but I'd give it for any potential host or guest! :-)

Very creative and intelligent person, always busy with some interesting projects!

Thomas and Lisbeth were enough lovely to do it at the very last time, saving us from a cold night in the parc of antwerp. Thomas is a so open minded and friendly guy that it's no use to re-wright it on this profile : everybody loves him !

Thomas is a powerhoster! A powerhuman! A powerfister! Yes yes yes, he is one of the good guys. 1 day at his place, 2 days with his company. both of them powerdays! Thomas speaks the fluent broken swedish frase: fy fan vad gött, perhaps best of everyone in europe i've met so far. Thomas toghether with his girl is equals to the best of every great company, every day of the week. And thanks for the sweater!! its a powersweater. Thomas (and Liesbeth) were great guests: chilled, accepting (happy with bed on floor in lounge), low maintenance. I was more than happy to host them, and particularly enjoyed the freewheeling chats covering just about everything. It was a shame that they only spent a night here, before exploring Scotland further, as they were excellent company.

My friend and I had a great time at Thomas'place. We went out for a drink and I had philosophical conversations with him until late. Really interesting to talk with! He's generous and open mind. I would like to meet him again. Great memories of my passage there.

Thomas is awesome! Great host, great 'leader' and most importantly, super fun Antwerp socialite! Sharp, open-minded, very welcoming. Looking forward to meeting up with him again!

 

We just met to have a coffee...then we were invited to dinner at his house and afterwards he even took us to a friends birthdayparty! It made my weekend Antwerp unforgettable and hope to meet Thomas and Liesbeth again. These two really enjoy life as it should be, open-minded, interested in other people, just great!

 

I am on the tech team with Thomas and we met for Queen's day 2007 as he lives only one hour away. I'm glad we met in real life, because our opinions defer (sometimes a lot) and it makes it easier when you meet a person irl. Hope to see you again soon! (PS: you make a great couple with your girlfriend Liesbeth and she is such a nice girl!)

First of all thanks and great respect for Thomas!!!This open guy took a risk to invite four!!!crazy an mysterous Russian girls!)))He paid a lot of attention and try to help and entertain us, so we'll never forget this amazing time in Antwerp. Thomas is amazingly easy-going and seems to have a very positive attitude towards life. Listening to him singing musicals immediately makes one feel good too! And watching Thomas and his girlfriend makes you just feel warm in the heart. The two are such a great couple!!! Please always stay like that - you give hope to the rest of the mankind! :-)

First thing I saw of Thomas: partyguy with hat and orange flowers around his neck shouting at us from his green car 'Plons'. He offered so much more than a ride though! He and his girlfriend Liesbeth are some of the most easy going people ever!! Spontaneously bursts out into singing/dancing whenever they feel like it (I'll just write a reference about them both, due to lack of profile info from Liesbeth:-D ),passionate in all they do, very in touch with their inner child. No, not even inner, you might just as well call it their outer child ;-) Thomas also knows a lot about improvisation and theatre in general and is -like me- a vla lover. Feels like discovering two great persons/friends!!!

Thank you so much for the ride to Rotterdam! I hope you spend a nice weekend... Although we both went our own way, it was nice to meet you and your girlfriend. See you again in Antwerp! x

 

Thomas was a great host. He was a little busy, but made sure that we felt totally comfortable! He always let us feel like we were invited to anything he was. He also went way out of his way to find some allergy relief for me.

Thomas is the ideal couchsurfing host. Welcoming, generous, open-minded and personnaly very interesting. You learn a great deal from him. I highly recommend Thomas if you come to Antwerp.

I hosted him during a weekend and we spent a good time. He is a good couchsurfer, talkative, adaptative and he loves taking photos.

Thomas is a awesome couch host. He invites you for a great ride in the city of Antwerp, shows you stuff, takes you to parties and scrambles your eggs the next morning. Nothing left on your wishlist! Except that I really want to see one of his movie projects, so I hope I can return soon.

I'm so glad that Thomas was able to make it out to NZ on his vacation, and so f'in happy that he came to live/work at the Collective. He's such a kind, down-to-earth, super-smart and gifted person, sure to make you laugh in any situation...he's got an infectious personality, in a good way, not a bad germ :)

Thomas knows how to react to any emergency situation very calmly and I must thank him for that. He also knows how to be honest and to dance on top of trees. A must-meet CSer!

I met Thomas very breifly at a friends house when he was couch surfing there. Thomas is a really good cook with a lovely smile! Hope his travells go well.

Thomas and I shared a common host in Auckland who asked me to host him during the Christmas holiday. It was a blast hanging out with and showing him around Wellington. He's a great guest, and makes a very tasty lasagna!

After leaving him with his next hosts, Shanon and I couldn't stop talking about what a brilliant guest Thomas had been. He's got a lovely warm and friendly personality and we immediately felt at ease around him. He was lots of fun to host and really went out of his way to show his appreciation.

Loved having Thomas, he was a hard case! good sence of humor! really easy to have around, and got on well with all our friends!!

Thomas is one of the few people who successfully manage to go 100% for many different things. I suspect him of having multiple brain sets as he thinks very fast and achieves quite a high level in all his activities. His social and practical brain set are also well developed so I'm sure he is a great host. He's a good listener and a very interesting person overall.

I stayed with Thomas for one night and went out for drinks with him and some friends, had a great time and found what a responsible citizen he was reporting crimes! He had to take care of some personal business and organised for me to stay with his brother for a couple of nights which was GREAT!! I would def stay with Thomas again, or love to see him in NZ!

We were lucky enough to be in Antwerp during a free concert for tolerance so our Antwerp experience was rich with a positive uprising in the air. Thomas was a brilliant host, exceeding the expectations of a couch sufing host, even going so far as helping me and my new wife sort out a problem with my bank, and covering me financially while I sorted it out. His generosity is only surmounted by his creative talent. I strongly recommend any surfers to enjoy his short film productions. They are profound, and inspiring, with more than a hint of genius. My life is better for having met Thomas, and I intend to finally start experimenting with short films myself. Thankyou!

 

Being the first couchsurfing guest is becoming my personal task. Really easy with hosts like Thomas... even if his sound system needs to be refreshed...
