Tijuano [Bamako]

Una experiencia única a través de CS. Omar es mi hermano, es parte de mi familia en el mundo. El me enseño la tijuana de mis sueños y deseos. Tijuana se quedo en mi corazón. Se quedo en mi, asi como este último viaje. Espero nos veamos pronto para seguir atrapando destinos. Ojalá vengas a guate. Guatemala necesita un poco de Tijuano. Me encantaría que conocieras a mis amigos y mi cultura tambien. Hasta pronto, sigue viviendo, sin miedo a la vida : )

We found Omar in the October rain in Vancouver, a situation no MExican should have to endure! Omar surfed our spare room for a few nights. He's a great kid, a very thoughtful and considerate guy, and also a gentle bohemian soul. We shared meals, and enjoyed his traveller's tales. Omar, we are just sad we didn't convince you to read us your poems! Hasta la proxima, chavo. Abrazos, Chuck and Omar Uno.

 

Omar was a cool guest to host. He was neat, polite and friendly. He helped around the house as well, taught me spanish, and cooked dinner on occasion. I enjoyed hosting him, and recommend him highly as a guest.

very nice person, he showed me around his city and told me some interesting things... his sister made a great breakfast:) and i slept like a baby on that big bed:)))

Tijuano es realmente una persona muy sencilla, amable, muy transparente y sensible frente a la situación que se vive en México y en especial en Tijuana. Me abrió las puertas de su casa como si fuera de la familia, espero nos encontremos nuevamente!

Oscar is a really nice guy, i had a great time talking with him, even if we didn't spend a lot of time together. Tijuana is safe with him !

Omar actually offered up his couch in Tijuana for the night after I'd made arrangements with another host. Luckily they happened to be friends, so I met Omar anyway. He's a really friendly guy, definitely made me feel welcome in his city, and it was great hanging out with him!

 

Omar is an awesome muchacho! I HIGHLY recommend him as a host! He is very courteous, and, although some might say he's a bit shy at first, he is a very funny guy! I am definately lucky to have met such a nice person.

We ended up catching a ride from another CSer in TJ, who took us with her to Ensanada. Omar and I got a hotel, and he checked out the nightlife scene with me. Then we hitch hiked together back to his place in TJ, where he let me surf. His place has a superb view! Thanks Omar! I can't wait to host you in Seattle!

I was so busy to take Marcus our CS friend, but i propose t give him a ride to my town ensenada, so!! Omar was there also with Marcus... they were very fun!

Omar was such a gracious host. After just being introduced by Victor, he let us stay at his and his sisters' new apartment. On my last day, we bonded over Mexican telenovelas and yummy tacos. Will definitely host him and Victor in San Francisco and Manila.

 

This guy gave me a great lesson of hospitality! I had no host in Tijuana and he said I could stay at her sister's place. I said I got a friend from San Diego with me, he said no problem. One week latter he hosted me in Ciudad Insurgentes in the middle of nowhere. Then we got a ride from Ciudad Constitution, also in the middle of nowhere to La Paz in the back of a pick up, like in the movies!!!! Then we ate tacos and I got sick because eat too much of this chile salsa wasn't a great idea... And we stayed at his friend's place. So generous is an euphemism to talk about Omar. Hasta pronto compa!

Most High. It was interesting to host Omarsh. Always smiling and tries really hard to communicate even if it means to distort his face,lol! He values real friendship and open to changes to be a better person. Omarsh is a great person who will go out of his way just to help you. Viva Mexco!

 

Omar was great company and I'm honored to have been able to host the guy for a couple days. He's a deep thinker and I expect a great novel to be written by him some time in the next few years. iGracias por ser una buena huesped, y gracias por darme una buena razon de visitar a Tijuana!

 

Though he was fairly quiet, I got a great sense of Omar's genuineness and delight for laughter. He is a very easy-going, relaxed individual and I imagine in his native tongue quite the little charmer.

Look forward to meeting up again sometime. Perhaps a naked bike ride in Mexico.

 

Omar and his friend Victor have surfed the same place as me and my brother...they are very friendly and nice guys i really enjoyed talking a bit in spanish with them well i tried my best heheeh yes i hope meet you again Omar this time here in Brasil.
