From Dave Swede Ulsan, South Korea Nov 7 Positive One might wonder why Tim would come to such a ordinary town as Ulsan. But its only in such ordinary towns in foreign countries that big, tall, loud, white foreigners dressed up for Halloween truly give new standards for sticking out and clashing with local cultures... Tim was an easy going guest and found him respectful of my place, myself and my friends. Shared countless anecdotes about travel, art, girls... you know, the important stuff. I'll expect the same when I get back to SD!
From Christine Phung Seoul, South Korea Nov 4 Positive Tim is chill and a super awesome guy to talk to. His passion for art and science (and California/mexican food!!!) instantly connected us. It is very commendable to see someone such as Tim be able to leave a stable job and pursue his passion of art. We met up with some other designers to discuss life/see design/eat the best chicken ever. Hopefully we will meet again, perhaps back in our own playground, good old California! Good luck on your travels Tim!
From Sam Go Seoul, South Korea Oct 20 Positive Tim came to Korea to travel the country and sent me a request while he stayed in Seoul. I was, literally, very impressed to see how naturally he laughs and talks, which made me feel very comfortable and enjoy myself a lot. We went to Bukchon Honok Village in Samcheong-dong. It was really worthy walking and talking with him in the scenic and quite town. The weather was absolutely fine and clear, and it made our meeting even more enjoyable. We even met a lady from Vietnam and let her join us lunch and the rest of the tour on the day. We all went to Samcheong Park and hiked the mountain, too. I can definitely tell I saw the best view in the city so far I've ever seen when we reached upon the top. My mind was filled with thankfulness thinking how great to be feeling the great views with my nice new friends. I hope he could fall in love with Korea by the time he leaves the country! :)
From Arn and Joy Preece Idaho Falls, United States Jul 5 Positive Tim is a thinker, an observer and overall caring young adult. We took a walk to see the elk farm near the home and had wonderful dialogue and discussions about "our world". He'd be great to hang out with.
From Charlene Miyashita Bologna, Italy Feb 19 Positive Tim was a lifesaver on a holiday weekend opening his apt. to me. We hung out on occasion, shared both traveling and life experiences, talked about art, music, and food. He was a genuine joy, leaving me the freedom to come and go, or just hang out.
From Lizeth Naranjo Morelia, Mexico Dec 5, 2008 Positive Tim is an artist! so I have the most interesting time with him since a photo night sesion to a jazz concert in downtown San Diego and visit some of the great galleries at la Jolla. He is a Great host and his place is sooo relaxing ;) |
