tom is hilarious.. him and ryan hosted me on the last days of my trip and showed me a hellova time!! had a great time with these boys and if you like to party you will 2~!

 

I knew Tom was a great guy after about 3 min of knowing him...he is as genuine as they come and very honest...Im glad our paths crossed and am looking forward to many more fun adventures...

 

Having met Tom at his loft before learning about his famous parties, I found him an admirable mixture of social grace yet also practicality. He continues to demonstrate those skills to aid artists, musicians, and art fans while making a reasonable profit, which further enables him to provide both these services and live the kind of life he enjoys. We'll miss him until he returns to LA.

Tom is a great party organizer. I stayed with him for 2 months this summer, and I enjoyed it very much! He's outgoing, easy going, and always seems to have fun.

Tom was super cool! A generous and courteous host. Knows the city well and can direct you anywhere you want to go. If you get the chance to surf with him... do it!

Tom is a great host and very trusting as well as trustworthy. We went to a bar in Culver City named Rush Street with a bunch of other surfers the first night I met him and had a great time. I stayed with him for 4 days and he was very laid back and generous. I felt right at home staying with him.

He is an excellent guy!
He has plentty of great stories, so good that he was able to keep me awake for 8hrs on a drive to LA...

 

Tom picked Kim & I up from our place in Palm Springs and drove us to Tucson for Thanksgiving break. It was impressive that he was able to make the drive right after his flight from Thailand. Tom is an accomplished camera operator with several films under his belt and he's now working on his own projects! We shared in some good conversation during the trip!

Tom is a very cool guy. He knows how to party, he knows how to chill, he knows how to appreciate and enjoy any and all good times. We've hung out a fair bit, and I expect we'll hang out a fair bit more, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

He's a great guy to pass the time with, and anyone who skips out on the chance to is missing out. I'm glad to count him as a friend. :D

Tom Kirlin.. I don't know where to start. I met him quite some time ago but we didnt chat much. Then we finally had our first and long conversation in KL, Malaysia. Plus, we actually traveled back to BKK together along with our new found friend, Paul. We had great laugh til we burst out of tears. He's a great guy to hang out with. I hv never run out of anything to talk to him. Definitely a cool guy.

He's totally amazing with his make up last night:-p I had a wonderful time last night meeting up with some CSers and Tom (the organizer). I brought 3 friends with me and they had a good time getting to know new people too! That's very awesome! Thank you so much Tom!

Tom is a very laid back guy. I feel close to him in a way that I got this good feeling that i can trust him;

and although after sitting next to him in the car for all in all 5 hours for a road trip and i kinda didnt recongnize him next day after that,i nevertheless wont forget the fact that I enjoy the guys company truly :-)

 

I am so glad Tom agreed to be my host for my first days in Bangkok. Starting a trip is stressful and Tom's caring, informative way really eased the chaos. I hope to meet up with him again, whether in Bangkok Malaysia or USA, because he's just that cool =)

I met Tom two times and we had good dance together, I dont host male cs members, so I hope when I get request from them Tom will be able to host them for me. Thanks for the password to the Bangkok night photos.

Me and my friend carmen stayed at his place in LA.. we had some troubles finding his place(getting lost a couple of times), but at the end it worthed , we had a really nice time with and enjoyed nice talks and movies

I met tom and his mate, ryan, in Cordoba for an unofficial CS meeting at their hostel. AFter a few beers, wines, piscos and even some champaign i believe, we all became well aquainted. The two are an infamous duo, from thailand to south america, their reputation preceeds them. We partied a few nights (managed to get me 2 free nights at a hostel....shhhh), then wondered the streets of cordoba puffy-eyed during the day. Even I had trouble keepingup with these two. Good times. Happy travels dear, try to stay out of trouble (who am i kidding?). Besos

We shared a funny international night drinking pisco, eating empanadas criollas picantes and talking about a lot of interesting things... he is clever and funny and he had some details showing his politesse... it will be a pleasure to see you again!

i was inspired by tom's energy and traveler's spirit. his laid back nature totally absorbed the crazy that can unexpectedly arise at our house. i enjoyed talking with him about icelandic music, russian film, various festivals - and even college basketball. i hope he makes it back to 1113 soon for one of our parties or just to hang on the porch.

Tom rocks. He took the randomness of 1113, Little Five Points, and gay-lanta like a rockstar. Definitely a good guy. Look forward to seeing him again whether in LA, back in the ATL, or crossing paths on some random adventure.

 

Tom hosted me for a few nights when I was in town for a trade show. Made me feel right at home. Will definitely hit him up again next time I'm in town, as he's great company and has superb taste in film.

 

tom you rock my socks! tom is a sweet individual and cracks backs like an angel. i feel like we could probably sit and talk travel or jelly beans for ages and have a good time. he is very comfortable to have a conversation with and i look forward to hearing more about his travels and hopefully crossing paths again.

 

Tom seemed like a very nice guy, with a positive attitude. We had an interesting discussion about film making, and from what I learned about him, it looks like one day he will be a big time movie producer/director. And I hope that I'll meet him again for a beer or two ;)

Originally met up with Tom in the oh-so-humid Bangkok and then again in the easy, breezy LA as we chomped away for dineLA in Culver City. With his calm demeanor and nice personality mixed in with all of Tom's stories and experiences, it's easy to have a delightful conversation (just like that cheesecake! haha). Tom is a really cool guy with good humor! Hi has this calm and chill way of being that I love... We had some nice conversations about life. The first day we met he took me for a smooth "honeymoon-massage"! =) Live life, Love Life Tom!

He was a great help after our arrival in Bkk. Its just good to know people where one can stay the first day of a starting trip. Had a great night in Bangkok downtown. Yeap.

Tom's a guy I like! Anyone who is passionate about Couch Surfing and meeting new people is a friend of mine. He's friendly and easy to talk with. I hope we can get together in the near future to plan some CS events.

Tom is a dude. He's dudely. I mean, he's definitely dudelike. Let me explain. In the few days I surfed with him he seemed a chilled-out, well-traveled (check out his pics), relaxed and relaxing guy. He was up for anything, be it pool, cards, or beery-natured things. Cool dude whom I intend to see again.

I couchsurfed with Tom in Bangkok, for 5 super-star nights, full of good conversation, partying, booze, cards, pool, and many others. Every night another story; totally ruined mornings with happy hang-overs. Bangkok could not be better! Hope to meet again sometime soon!

Tom and his friend, Paulie, were my first ever surfers, and it could not have been better! Tom is a wonderful person who I immediately connected with and we talked about everything under the sun. They were thoughtful, gracious and FUN! I felt so comfortable with Tom that I hoping to travel with him now!

Had been a cs member for all of 12 hours when Tom and his friend Paulie showed up; to say I had my head up my a*%$ would be a patent understatement. Tom happened to grace us with his presence during a lazy and lame weekend, but it was great. Very easy going, shared some good laughs... GT. He is the surfer paragon! and the speed master!

I was very fortunate to meet Tom via CS. He was the first person, I ever contacted via CS and it was an immediate hit. He was travelling in the same month, that I was going be in Los Angeles. So I got to rent his apartment, which was about the best thing that could have happend.
Anyways, it's exeptional to open your house to some stranger, like he did. And I really enjoyed his place. I did not get to know him that well, but he is definately very relaxed; he offered his help in many ways.

My girlfriend and i stayed in Toms apartment for over a month. Very nice and laidback person. Perfect.

i usually catch up with tom between his adventures and i continue to live vicariously through his crazy stories.. nice guy, would host anytime : ) .....and i want his job..

tom came with a friend of mine and stayed at my place for a night during their layover from colombia - we went out and had a fabulous time. he's welcome to surf again any time! :)

Tom and his buddy David came out to Thailand to shoot a film, I was able to host these great guys in this great country... Lots of fun and great memories all over the country. They even got to see some "hotel politics" Hope to have them back real soon, and I think that is a high possibility!
