Private bedroom with ample pillows and blankets. Perfect for a single traveler or a couple. Bus to NYC is approximately 1.5 miles away. I don't smoke or have any pets. Smoking is only allowed outside on the deck. One well-behaved pet is welcome, if necessary. Best time for me to host is on weekends.
I love to learn, explore, ask questions, and discover new things. I love meeting new people and sharing stories. On October 1, 2010 I embarked on my first transatlantic voyage, my first destination being Ireland, the land of my ancestors. From there, I also visited the UK and France. Beginning on February 22, 2012, I took a two-month Greyhound bus tour of the US, re-visiting places I love and visiting new places for the very first time. I look forward to futher adventures and meeting wonderful and interesting people from all over the world.

Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
It's a wonderful idea. I'm still relatively new to CS but I'm excited about its potential.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
What a pleasure to host John - he was a polite, interesting, and understanding guest! He explored on his own during the day and joined us for the Art Walk and a party afterward. He was okay wtih getting home late, our 4 little dogs, and we enjoyed an afternoon of interesting conversation. He is most welcome to surf with us again and I recommend hosting him if you have a chance - great guy!
Had a good coffee time in Boulder with John.
Really interesting conversations at the Laughting goat ( thanks for having made me discover this cool place)!
Good luck in your big travel, take care John!
John took me up on a ride share from Tampa to New Orleans and was great company the whole way. He had a lot of interesting things to talk about and great stories to tell. Seriously the 10 hour drive flew by. Great guy, I'd happily travel with him again!

I met John in Karen's and I found him to be a very nice person as I recounted my times in New Jersey, as a student and then in California
You are a very patient man!!:-)

John is a brave soul who risked his very life when he agreed to travel with me, in a rental car, to Blarney Castle. (My driving in Ireland was scary at times) John was a real sport when we got lost...several times.. and it was great to have his company and share the adventure! Hope you had a great trip John and hope to meet up with you again! Thanks for the memories!

John shared a meal with myself and other CSers, then headed out for some live music. He is relaxed and easy going guy who is new to CS but enthusiastic about being involved. Catch you in New Jersey sometime John and best of luck with the rest of your adventure!
