Living in a house of young professionals so I can't offer a couch at the moment, but if you are in the city and need a friend to meet up with or some tips on where to go, send me a message.
I travel a lot for work, but when I am not on the road I work from home, so my schedule is reasonably flexible and I love to meet new people. Like wine? I'm your girl. If there are any wine events going on in town I can generally tell you where! If not, I can give you recommendations!
I live in between Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan, right in the middle of the city, and I love meeting new friends and sharing stories.

I am a western girl currently living an eastern life. I grew up in Idaho, land of the potatoes, and Wyoming, land of the cowboys. But I just relocated to Washington DC for my dream job which developed after living in Argentina for two of the most amazing years of my life. I work for a wine company that imports fine wine from Latin America.
I'm loving all of the new experiences that come with each day but I miss my mountains! I draw a lot of inspiration from the Great Outdoors and will forever live up to my reputation as "Daddy's Little Mountain Goat." I also draw a lot of inspiration from people and love learning from others. There is no better way to learn about yourself than through travel and those that you meet along the way.
Some of life's most amazing experiences and friendships have been discovered on the road and I can't get enough of it!
CouchSurfing Experience
I love to meet new people!
Interests
travel, mountains and any activity you can do in them, a good glass of wine, adventures, early morning runs, foreign languages and cultures, cooking, rodeos, reading, tango dancing, volleyball, meeting new people, lightning, laughing till I cry, animals, campfires, my amazing family, my amazing friends, fly fishing, waterskiing, snowskiing, music, sushi, summers at the cabin, winters at the cabin, york peppermint patties, hiking, reading, adventures, doing things out of my comfort zone, reunions, road trips, spontaneity, butterflies, art, coffee shops, sunsets, and remembering that feeling you would get when you were 8 years old on Christmas morning...just to name a few.
Philosophy
"La persona que está viva, realmente viva, vital, siempre se aventurará a lo desconocido. Allí encontrará peligros, pero se arriesgará. El corazón siempre está dispuesto a arriesgarse, el corazón la gusta apostar." OSHO (OK so maybe it's not personal since I quoted it...but I still love it)
Music, Movies, Books
I am a book nerd - send me your recommendations!
Or better yet, bring me a book and I'll swap ya for one I have here.
Types of People I enjoy
I like people who are good. People who are down to earth, people who have big hearts and who are true to who they are. People who are carefree, adventurous and happy. People who are genuine and people who are passionate about something...anything. People who pursue life and everything it entails.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Vanessa is a very uplifting individual. Her constant smile and positive attitude will bring instant joy to your time spent with her. If you need to travel to Argentina, ask her to tell you about her website. ;)
