Vanessa is very intelligent and polite. Very active in CS and loves parties. I recommend host or be hosted by her.

 

Vanessa knows the secret of making a 24 hr day last for 30 hrs! A super live-wire person full of positive energy.She managed the impossible when I was in SP, she managed to squeeze out time from her incredibly busy schedule of work and organising the first Pan-American meet in Rio. She even lent me her local SIM card during my month long stay in Rio.

Vanessa is the first CS I ever met and she made it memorable. She's the perfect Ambassador for SP!

Vanessa M, is a hell of a lady. Aside from her generosity and cooking ability she has something to say about the world. Be prepared for sophisticated conversation if you are so inclined. Her flat is located near major bus lines and is 20 mins from downtown. Although she is a busy worker bee, she will find time to go out at night and rock the house.

I met Vanessa a year ago in Buenos Aires (I really thought I had you in my list of friends!!!) when we had the chance to meet, then when she started organizing the Pan-American Meeting we talked online a lot, and then I met her again, here in Rio.

I'm amazed with this girl. She's a strong woman that decides what she wants and goes for it. Besides her fantastic organizational skills (the Pan-American happened because of her!), she also knows when to stop and have fun. And she does it with the same commitment! ;)

We share a lot of good times here in Rio - she has been one of the wonderful persons I had the change to meet because of this great gathering! Thank you for all your efforts, and hopefully I’ll meet you many times more!

In the first impression, you're gonna think that Vanessa is just a party animal. But she's also a lovely and sweet girl. Seriously. The passion she puts into whatever she does is really inspiring. It was a pleasure to organize, even for short time, some things for the Pan-American Meeting with her. Now I know I have one more friend in São Paulo. And that she's my twin DJ! :)

Well better late then never I guess. Vanessa was able to host me last min May 09 and was so kind to pick me up from the hostel I was staying at. We met in Rio de Janeiro, then I surfed with her in Sao Paulo. She's knowledgable, fun to be around and theres never a dull moment. Thanks for everything & see you in Rio for the Pan American meeting.

 

Vanessa is one of the most authentic people I met. And passionate. I met her during the organization of the Pan American Meeting and I liked her from the 1st moment. She was the brain behind the event. And she was really commited to it, by bringing people's efforts together whenever minds got scattered and giving guidelines to all of us.

She is very clever, objective and clear, 3 characteristics that make her a great leader and a remarkably interesting company. And besides all that, she still has an acid and ironic sense of humour.

In short, I hope we still meet many and many times - in Rio, SP or wherever!!!!

Vanessa was of great help. At a very short notice she responded postively to my couchsurfing request.
By inviting me to her colleague's party and chatting up with her, I got a view of professional Brazilian life (we both belong to the same profession though I work in India).

This was my first experience staying at somebody´s home. I went to São Paulo in order to attend Senator Marina Silva affiliation at Green Party. We have worked together in different meetings and summitts to the world´s environment and its biodiversity.

Honestly talking, i really did not know how to behave myself or react. I was completely lost and shy. She was a nice host. She cooked me food, we enjoyed a couple bottles of good wine. The first night, I took her out for drinkings and food. We listened music and talk a lot about different matters. I try to take good care of her. Even when she cut her finger, i tried help her.

All I can say, is that the“personal belongings’ she mentioned were in the living room, stuff like records, books and post cards . I didn´t invade her privacy. This was not fair from her.

My “mental stability”. She is the one with DDA and I´m the crazy one.

Despite all this, she is a lovely woman, very proactive and professional.

YES, I would marry her !!

Vanessa came to surf with my brother, what a nice and fun girl she is!

I met Vanessa from Lalai, she is her best friend. Vanessa is a cute person, always smilling and saying something funny. She's the type of person that after 3 minutes and two drinks, you are dancing, talking a lot and have much fun. :)

Vanessa, she is such a nice person that i got to know when i moved to sao paulo. She is great and very fun to be with.

 

I met Vanessa for a couple of times in the CS meetings. She gave me a ride at my first CS meeting and surprisingly, she lives next to me! She is very friendly and approachable. Try to meet her and you'll see!

 

The hardest reference I’ve had to write. When Vanessa and me finally met it was like we had been friends for life,after hundreds of hours chatting before.

We love each other although sometimes we've hated each other as well,we both together developed the CS Panamerican meeting,and got over some stressing situations together as well. She's the best boss I've ever had,although she thinks I've become domesticated and takes the main role in our relationship!

But she's much more than that,Vanessa is an incredible woman,intelligent, sensitive,ironic and sarcastic,with an enjoyable personality. The Panamerican meeting couldn't have been possible without all her effort.

She's really one of the most committed to the CS person I've ever met,great ambassador for Sao Paulo and even better host,who really cares about the people near her.

Actually we have something in common,and it’s complicated ;-) so we'll meet again soon in Sao Paulo and Venezuela to get this common project moving on.

Vanessa and I met in the making of Brazil's National Meeting 2008. Since then we have laughed, cried, screamed, worked, crashed a car, drank wine on a fine hotel and secretly planned each other's murder as well as typical cs-like experiences like hosting and surfing with one another. Off from a awkward start, it was pretty much what it sounds like: a summer movie plot featuring this cool chick that just lights the party anywhere she goes. I also couldn't honestly think of someone who is more into giving to and caring about CS than she is. She just rocks.

 

Vanessa is just a bundle of enthusiasm and energy. We had a really great time together at Vienna calling. I really hope to host her one day in Chico and if I am lucky will get to meet up with her when I return to Brazil. This lovely girl is a star!

Vanessa is a super fun, sweet person, who is the perfect houseguest and party companion!

Vanessa is a whirlwind of positive engery, laughter and jokes and during our four days of Vienna Calling she was always in the center of the party. I am very happy that we finally met in person afer many online encounters and enjoyed our time together as well as our discussions a lot. I hope we can make up for your spontaneous Caipirinha workshop that I missed soon :o)

 

I hosted Vanessa for some days here in Lisbon and it was an amazing experience. She is a very nice, friendly, spontaneous and lovely Brazilian girl.
You can almost see the good vibes spreading from her.
We had dinner and listen to some fado, we went to "Bairro Alto" for some drinks and walked around Lisbon downtown.
It was definitely a very good experience and if you have the opportunity to meet Vanessa do not miss it, she is really an amazing person.
She is always welcome to surf my couch again anytime she wants and I hope to meet her again soon.

We met in somekind of random situation at night and partied through lisbon together till 6am. Funny thing i remember a lot about her just for that one night, which means... she's a real interesting person. Worth knowing, and fun to be with!

I've met Vanessa in meetings between our cities and major CS events. Now, we are closer working to make the best new years ever for the CS community, and I'm always amazed by her entusiasm and efford to make things happen. And the best of it is that she does all that without loosing the fun of it!

Very funny girl in all the parties!!!

V is definately one of the strongest characters in the cs group, she has a huge smile, likes to dj like me (go girl) and always trys and helps those in need. We shared some great times together behind the decks at the party even though i blew them up (opps) beso

although CS system had some problems that day I could finally find her flat late in the evening. My first feeling about Sao Paolo was pretty dangerous, but she made me feel at home and really excepted me as she knew me already. so glad that she is like that.

This girl is truly worth the name ambassador, she is very CS active and even if I came during the week she had a strength to take me out and showed me a great time you can have in Sao Paolo:)

 

Vanessa is a genuine couchsurfer in its best form! She is welcoming and nice, very intersting and full of energy. A great host who knows how to make the best of our time on earth. After first crashing at her place, she took me and my brother to a churrasco party in another city, introducing us to the local CS world and many wonderful people. The same day/night we went on to party until dawn at SP's cool Vegas club. A quite memorable weekend.

 

I love this girl! She is an excellent producer of events, DJ, cook, etc... But I can say that the CS parties would not be the same without she!!!!

Vanessa and i had a great time together couch surfing in Miami. We went shopping together and drove around. Vanessa is a very fun person and im glad i got to ride the metro mover with her HAHA!

With Vanessa I got to experience just a taste of what the Sao Paulo nightlife has to offer... my only regret is wishing I had of had more time to spend there! Vanessa is a welcoming and generous host, thanks for everything!

 

Vanessa was my first host in CS. For the very first time, in her flat, me and my wife were surfing somebody's place. And I can say that it was unforgetable! Our time in her house was absolutely funny and full of things to do in town. As she is a very active member, our day was always full. Even when we left her place, we kept seeing each other everyday: to eat pizza or just to have some fun.

I had a serious trip to Sao Paulo planned (no CS experience at all), but I decided to contact her and everything changed. She found me a host, gave me a ride, shared dinner... Too bad time was short, but she can wait: I'll be back. Final opinion? Big thumbs up for her!

I had the pleasure of spending a very long, but very fun day with the lovely Vanessa when she was in Miami. We spent many hours at the mall, and let me tell you this girl can shop! At night I put together a CS dinner for her at a Mexican restaurant so she could meet some of the local members. After that we moved on to drinks on South Beach. Vanessa is so much fun to hang out with and such a sweetheart. She has a huge heart, and is very funny.

Vanessa was carrying a small package with her the entire day. At dinner she presented me with a beautiful statue of a Brazilian godess, such a lovely gift!! I hope to see you again Vanessa, either here or in Brazil! :-)

 

I don't think I was ready for Vanessa! She's an alpha female who likes to work hard and party even harder. She runs on about 3 hours of sleep, and needless to say, I couldn't keep up. (I nicknamed her Vanessa "Sin Parar" Mathias, but I don't think she liked it.) Nevertheless, Vanessa was a great connection to the CS world in São Paulo, and through her I met so many wonderful people. She made my first surfing experience very memorable. Muito obrigado, loca!

Vanessa is all over the place when it comes to CS. After meeting briefly at the national meeting in Belo Horizonte, she let me stay in her apartment even though she was out of town! I really appreciated that. We didn't have a lot of time to hang out together, but Vanessa is a friendly and talkative person. Thanks!

There are no words to describe Vanessa... such dictionary as yet to be written :) but i have to say that she is AMAZING and i'll always remember this girl.
We kept a tight race going on about who could go out more nights in a row... but eventually she conceided to me (and my clones lol). I can honestly say that i took her to the clouds (literally!)... and i have the sky-diving dvd to prove it :D

As Vanessa's host, we had a great time hanging out in Salvador, when she had the chance to meet some udigrudi joints. Men wanted her. Men wanted her bad.

As Vanessa's guest, I loved her theme parties and also her awesome as-seen-on-TV inflatable mattress.

Van has a very particular way of displaying affection: by not displaying it. Like, at all. And I find it extremely charming, if you ask.

Me and Van met in the worst case scenario that two gals can meet (yeah: you feel in the blanks!) but you take two stubborn intelligent bitches (that know that such an encounter is rare) to make the best out of it. Days go by and she surprises more, up to the point that I fell is kind of pathetic that still I haven’t wrote something about her .
Van is very devoted to the CS project. She LOVES organizing gatherings, hosting etc. if you come to any of the “SP” events for sure you are going to meet her. Also It doesn’t take much to notice her wittiness and cleverness.
But there is this other Vanessa, the one who is not for everybody: the Vanessa Friend. She is the one who is able to take a plunge for you, the one get’s you jobs when you are broke, and the one who keeps given you advices, even thought she knows your are not going to listen : ) Don’t get me wrong Van is not at all “peaches and cream” she is tough to deal! Because all special people are!

Even though I could just stay for 1 night at her place, my impression of her nightlife of Sao Pablo is that good that I will go back in July!

 

Amazing, Awesome, Cool, Down to earth, great host. I am still a little afraid of Vanessa until this day, not only she parties like there is no tomorrow. She doesn't let small things to bother her way of living. I am highly recommend her for anyone who would like to have a party of their life time.

Vanessa is a kind of person you either love her or hate here. There is nothing in the middle. Well, we belong to group of people who love Vanessa. And these are the reasons why: she keeps the things simple, she is very determent, she make quick decisions, very open minded, always in the move, do not sleep much (only when she drink a little, after the hard working day and decide to take two Croatians to sing Karaoke till dawn), and she is very very generous person. Vanessa, thank you for making our stay in Sao Paulo more interesting.

Vanessa hosted me for a couple of days at the end of a long trip to brazil, it was a great help that she introduced me to her friends so I could always go out with them when she didn't have time. I really enjoyed the few days I could stay with her and I hope to see her again.

 

It took me a while to write a reference for this girl, that because she is very unique and quite complex person. Afterall, i discovered she is really cool, very friendly and she DOES want the best for those around her.

Awesome girl I say, met over two nights and feel we had little or no time at all. Back in Sao Paulo in a week or two and will make up on lost time, aaaaiight!

 

Despite her ability to be a über CS addict and crazy party girl, Van is a sweet person with a good heart and the greatest will to make things happen. Vanessa is a great host. She is very trusting too which leads me to believe she's very trustworthy as well. She cooked some delicious dinner on Saturday at Alberto's place and then we went to party (I apologize for being sooo tired--after partying in Rio all night long and a 6 hour bus ride). Next day we went to another couchsurfer's house for an unforgettable CS gathering. Overall I had a great time.

So, sadly I only had a few hours with her - but in those few hours, she managed to cook the most delicious meal, invite her sweet friends over, and get me a little drunk in good red wine!
And she convinced me to return to Sao Paulo some day, with better time! So, see you again when I get the opportunity! Take care...

Clever and keen, Vane is a delightfull company. We have been to a lot of clubs and parties together here in Sao Paulo and had lots of fun, especially after one of ours hilarious chill in at home... I believe once she crashed on my couch, but I'm not quite sure... ;)

I only spent one day and night in Sao Paulo but I had a really good time! Vanessa took me out to some cool bars and clubs where she knew loads of people, i hope we´ll go out again sometime! (maybe with a few less caipirinhas!)

Vansessa is wonderful hostess. shown me a little bit of area. really helpfull and I have to say full of energy! Very intellegent and open-minded...I hope to see her again in the future!!

 

Well, I surf her couch for only one night and she organise a hole meeting in a bar for that night! We where like 15 persons! Unfortunately I couldn´t know her better because of time, but trust me, you wont get bored with her!!! She´s full of energy!!!

Vanessa is a kind of female and Brazilian Jerry Seinfeld.... He has so many interesting thoughts about everything and also about NOTHING... I think she is able to have fun while her unique brain is processing some crazy thought.... She will always say something clever and funny. She's smart, intelligent and as all the other girls, she also has her fears, but she faces it with a good sense of humor and get the hearts around her. As I said about Alberto, Vanessa also gave many tips when I arrived at CS São Paulo group and now I can call her FRIEND.... It's always nice to be with her.... Beijo (Defina isso, defina aquilo..... I could stop by here and write down a long list of bad experiences I had with her, because I known her since a long time. But it will be a complete waist of time. So I just have to say, She is a such SELF-IMPORTANT, UNPLEASANT, ANNOYING person and it get even worse when she show up drunk thing that is normal to see.

Vanessa hosted me for two nights recently , I enjoyed meeting her, she is a very trusting person, kind & hospitable & she patiently answered all my endless questions about Sao Paulo ! And she lives in a nice area of Sao Paulo too. Thanks Vanessa, Tchau Hugh.

 

Vanessa is the typical Brazilian woman: charming, intense and sometimes crazy! lol I first met her at a CS Meeting and again and again and again… She is always up to parties, city tours and overnight experiences ;) She is funny, talkative and I'm sure she is a great host and girl to hang out with! I love her!!!

 

This girl deserves a special mention because she has been present at every meet I have been too and is genuinely keen on making CS Sao Paolo interesting & fun for all. I pissed her off at Clash snatching her lollipop but she never remembers the Nights...Boo!ç)

This girl is amazing! Met her at the Who's concert August 1969. Pinball Wizard was awesome! If only people still played like that. She's is all Brazil has to offer and more. Host her, and it'll be great, like her and you'll fall in love.

 

Today I finally feel like writing a reference about Vanessa. And there's no better time than now, since i can't sleep after clubbing the whole night!

I consider vanessa pacas! And after last night, i know that now we're friends for real! And now we have a pact, and we're gonna stick to it!

All i can saying is that she is a party animal and a fun companion to have around!

After ages hanging out together, I´m ashamed to write about her only now. But it was worth it. Vanessa is wonderful, she is always ready to help and has great tips about the night life in SP. It´s very nice talk to her and hear her funny stories. Don´t miss the chance to meet her in SP. See you Shop Shura!!!

The most welcoming girl I've ever met, It feels like we've known each other for years! !In a short time she became a constant company for parties and nights out, not to mention the good talks we always have;-)! Being around her means :Good company and a Great time guaranteed..100% :)!!!

Vanessa generously hosted me for more than a couple of days. we've been cooking and watching movies as for the quiet days, and partying great after some CS meetings in some places where she was leading us, she also organized a barbecue. I have met lots of interesting people and places during this stay, thanks, that was all great!

Vanessa is beautiful person who is very kind. I met her when we went to Adri's in Guarau. She has interesting points of view and I loved to talk to her! She is a great cook too... I even had her pasta dish cold the next morning! yum!

Hosted twice by Vanessa so I can now update and report on the very best things about being her guest: 1) she has awesome nightlife connections and knows the best places to go, the best ways of getting in for free ... if not out ;-) 2) SHE HAS A POOL ON TOP OF HER BUILDING!!! 3) She has the best shower of any CSer I know. All this aside, she is a fun person to be with, a generous host, and a really nice girl. I still can't report on her cooking, but then neither can she on mine :-) Thanks again x
