ABOUT ME

Hello!:)

My name is Vika (or Victoriya).
And I love children! :)

I'm an explorer of culture and history of the peoples of Europe, Africa and Asia, adventurer, hitchhiker, travel writer and travel photographer.

Traveling alone or with friends and travel buddies: hitchhiking, train, mountain biking, and any other land and air transport.

I have a reputation as adventurer woman, who visited the "hot" spots of the planet Earth, I saw an attempted coup in Myanmar (Burma), Egypt, Congo, Mali and other countries, which experienced a life-threatening attacks of malaria and cholera ...

Also between traveling, I work in a variety of political, legal and social organizations, and writing about my travels for magazines and newspapers. As a result of travels have been written and published books, practical travel guides and photo albums (in Ukrainian, Russian and Czech). :)

P.S. - Also I like to meet people, to get to know various countries, regions, cultures, customs and languages (even the basic words). And honest smile, which helps build new friendships. :) Welcome to my home in my city of Kharkiv and to Ukraine!:) Feel free to ask me anything you wanna know 'bout Ukraine and Kharkiv! :)

WHY I USE COUCHSURFING

To promote the REAL hospitality spirit around the world, to show that CS is simply a tool. A great tool which allows us to share with others the places, feelings, habits of our life which we love most.

To help others learn the hospitality spirit and to teach others that the best way of living is to open your doors and let people inside.

Hospitality lies within us.

Because there is no greater joy than sharing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a CS-member since November 2007.

I was CS Ambassador from 2008 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2016.

-Also I organized CS-meetings, activities and events in Kharkiv (Ukraine), Minsk (Belarus) other cities of Ukraine, Belarus and other countries and cities where I travel.

-I like to show CSrs my city Kharkiv and around it, to host my guests in my home, to travel through CouchSurfing, and I am happy to provide you with information and advises about Kharkiv and Ukraine.:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Now I host people, share my life, enjoy the great stories they tell and be part of their travel experience. I also share with people stories about my travels and my experiences in the CouchSurfing. :)

I surfed various couches in and outside of Ukraine, enjoying hospitality and good conversations with each one of them.

Music, Movies, and Books

What kind of movies I like to watch?

I like to watch films with sense. I love good detectives with logic sense and the logic end. And I still like to watch good and kind comedies.:)

What kind of music I like to listen?

The classical music, alternative music, rock music, world folk-rock, I love folklore songs and I sing them.:)

What kind of books I like to read?

I like to read good detectives, the classical literature and books on psychology, PR-teсhnology, historical novels and stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen and been party to the Orange Revolution in Kiev, Ukraine (2004).

I went to school life in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland and received very good life experience.

I have felt profound moments in the stillness of nature.

From 18/02/2011 to 14/04/2011, I took part in my hitchhiking project: traveling around the world "The Life Experience of the peoples of Europe, Africa and Asia".

I have seen and been party to the Ukrainian Revolution (Euro Maidan) in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Teach, Learn, Share

1. I would like to receive the help in studying English and Polish languages. I know in perfection a Ukranian and Russian languages. And to help another to learn a Ukranian language or Russian.

2. I shall share recipes and knowledge how to cook for the Ukrainian national cuisine. I wish to learn other the world national recipes cuisines.

3. I want to learn from you a bit of your language, culture, your experience, ideas and different activities specially related to CS, environment and Peace.

4. HUGS ARE FREE!!!
Humanity has lost the pleasure of physical contact.
Well not everybody but most people have.
Greetings to people you know and you even share a friendship with have become soooo cold and distant.
Why has everybody forgotten the pleasure of Hugging?
To Hug is such a physical contact..two people's hearts are so near to each other when they Hug...
Greet with a Hug, not just a simple handshake or "kissing the air" as I call it when you put your cheeks together and pretend to kiss.
