Rocky Sanguedolce

I can pretty much tell a person's character when I meet and talk to them. Rocky and his entire family welcomed my friend Tara and I and treated us with respect and as family.

 

Rocky is a friendly and generous host. He gave us the run of their well-developed campground, basically giving us what their customers were paying $60 for. Being summer, work kept him busy and we couldn't chat at length, but I'm sure he's eager to have guests in the off season when it is slower.

 

Rocky & his family totally bent over backwards to make me feel comfortable & right at home. I felt like a long lost relative. I look forward to going back and vending in the area again just to spend more time with Ruby, Misty and the rest of the family! Thanks so much to you all! See you soon!

 

Rocky was an excellent host, especially for a first-time surfer. He has lots of great stories to tell and an awesome bar to sit back and hang out in.

We went in the dead of winter and it was absolutely freezing, but the cabin was pretty warm, and even when it got cold in the morning, people that worked with Rocky let us hang out with them where it was nice and toasty.

If you're in his area, you really should surf with this guy. He's pretty damn awesome.

 

While on a month long couchsurfing experience he hosted me and two other friends for a night. Great host with awesome stories. Even if we were slightly stupid for traveling when it was max 15 degrees outside, still had an awesome time. If you get the chance to meet him, do it.

 

I stayed in Rocky's cabin with a couple friends and had a blast. Very cool and laid back guy, a most excellent host!! He also has some awesome travel stories to listen to.

My sister and I started out couch surfing mission across the US at Rocky's wonderful campground...and what a fun way to start the trip! Rocky was a great host and we could not of asked for anything more.

 

Rocky is a very generous host and atying in one of his RV's, my first experience in such an accomodation, was a cool experience. Rocky not only offered my gf and I a private accomodation, but also took us to dinner and really went out of his way for us. This guy works hard and is very busy, but really is a great host as well!

Rocky and his entire family were nothing less than purely magical. The giant yellow whale, shark head, trip to the local brewery, HOT HOT HOT wing sauce, wonderful accomadations, good conversation and HIGH amount of fun we had will be unparralled. Thank you for the geocashing tip and the bird mission! We haven't come across any roundabouts yet, but when we do, we'll think of you always!!

We hope to see you again sometime, (maybe when you and Misty are in Bordentown??)

 

Man, the hardest thing was to remember all the names, Ruby, Misty, Rocky and... So many!!!

Rocky is convivial, Misty cooks a chicken worth the detour and... Well, This just another reference among many but man, he deserves each one.

Ruby introduced me to an interesting web site that I will have to check out later on...

Rocky is the FIRST CSer to have handled Soupe de Loup!!! He even kissed it!!! (See the Soupe de Loup group for info)

 

I stayed with rocky and felt very welcome, he and is family are great people!

 

Rocky and his family are ALL just awesome.

I don't know what to say man, now and again a kindred spirit pops into your life and things change forever.

As far as hosting me, the CS project could learn a lot about how all of this works from you guys. - Fantastic. Hospitality like I never knew existed.

Rocky, Ruby and / or any of their friends would be very welcome In Scotland.

The man is hospitable and then some. Pope Inc. on its way!!! Your dad is a hoot, 45 min tour while you were still out cold, colored with insight and advice. Great family!

When I envisioned my trip to NYC, I didnt forsee RVing at the riverside campground in PA or kayaking down a river. But sometimes the best things are those that are unplanned. Meeting Rocky and his familly was definitely worth the detour. Rocky, you're a gracious host and interesting to visit with... an all around great guy. I do hope you get to Montana sometime soon. And of course cow tipping, bovine preg checking and hunting of the elusive snipe are always a must do for special visitors. :)

 

Rocky and his family are fantastic!! They own a great campground and really went out of their way to make sure that we were well cared for there. The whole family has traveled quite a bit and they are full of interesting stories. I'll go back if I am ever traveling along the Susquehanna again.

Rocky is an awesome awesome host.There's nothing i can say about him that has not been said by countless other couchsurfers.He's such a sweetie,so very generous and just a great great person all around.From bears in the cornfield to gators in the lake.Rocky knows them all.Some people come and go in your life but some of them leave footprints behind and i know that this is the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship.If you do get a chance do go down and surf with him but beware if he asks u to go kayak coz the river is very lazy!

Rocky is the bomb!! one of the greatest hosts i've ever had. he showed us the best time and he made sure that we were comfortable and enojoying our stay. he took us for some outdoor activities and went waaaay out of his way to tend to our needs. if u are anywhere close to his place u certainly need to make a stop

I went to Rocky's camground with two other CS friends that I did a roadtrip with. I didn't spend much time with Rocky but he took us for kayaking, gave us free drinks and food in the bar etc. The camground is at a relaxed place and I would recommend everyone to go there, his hospitality is greatly appreciated!

 

Rocky is completely amazing!! He was such a phenomenal host!!! He made us feel extremely comfortable and welcome! He organzised a crazy awesome canoe trip for us & also went 120 miles out of his way to get our stuff back for us!! He is adorable, funny, sweet & simply amazing! He really went out of his way for us when we stayed!! His family is also very sweet and considerate! If u are anywhere close to his place, you MUST stop!!

Rocky wasn't traveling only with his sister Ruby . He also brought a little gnome along! lol I will never forget the "egg" shot at the show..ha ha :-) both of Rocky & Ruby are heaps of fun, very easy going and blend in very well here. Really had good time with them. Three cheers to table tennis, right!? :-D

What started as 20' minutes cursing under the Thai sun in 3pm for a 3rd guy who organised the meeting and never showed up, ended up as an amazing day around Bangkok with Rocky and his sis Ruby. Boats, Buckets, Bugs and new friends made this an unforgetable day and definately added another destination in my trip. Keep a Tippee for me... and a buckeeeettt....or two :D

 

Surfed at Rocky's and being from Pennsylvania, I think his place is the bomb! For city folks, this is the place to come to RELAX and take a deep breath. Rocky is very sweet, laid back, SEXY, and kind--what a combination! I'll surf him again maybe when sluttybunny comes to bartend--it's a great meet-in-the-middle spot! Loveya, Rocky!

We had dinner at Bee's with other CS folks in Bangkok before hopping for a night out (yay, with "table tennis show--nice way to put it though!). Ended up wasted but it was a fun night!

Rocky and his sister, Ruby, are great guests. They are very easy-going and fun to hang out with. Rocky even cooked Thai meal for us (aka "useless crew"). We had interesting converstaion with lots of laughs about how life goes on here in Bangkok. With their keen to learn about Thai culture and do/don't s, i'm sure they'll be respectable travellers anywhere. =)

Rocky rocks! Hahaha! This guy knows how to have a good time! We had a great time over dinner (he cooked it! i think. hahaha!) and drinks in PatPong! Goodluck in ur travels and hope to see you soon guys when I come up to the States! Cheeers! Later man.

 

Rocky and his sister Ruby were super cool to hang out with when I met them in Bangkok for dinner, Singhas and a bit of Ping Pong.. :) I hope to see you guys again some day, and you are more than welcome here if you ever make it to Denmark!

Rocky and his sister are chilled out, generous, good company and I had a great night out with them both.

Rocky was not only incredibly friendly and interesting, but also provided us with the best place to stay we have seen yet. He definitely motivated me to want to "pay it forward" as he puts it. :D

Rocky kicks ass! His place rocks, and I can't wait to go back. Yeah, it is in the middle of nowhere, but that is kind of the kick ass part of it, besides the first kick ass part of it that HE is there! Rocky is SO welcoming, and SO much fun! He even gave me pins and a book to read! *yay* And I really did start reading it too! It is interesting to say the least hehehe....I love this boy, and I can't wait to see him again soon!<3

I spent a day showing him around Mt, Fuji and it was really fun!!! Rocky is definitely cool and I'm soooo happy to know him. I guess he still have many things he has to do here :P. So I keen for his coming back to Japan soon!

Rocky is the greatest guy--so down to earth and easygoing--he goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. His bar is huge and so much fun--and Ruby rocks, too--these guys are well worth going to Montgomery for! Thanks again, Rocky!

Rocky was a delightful dinner guest. He and his sister are open, full of stories and eager to learn more about life and others. I had a wonderful time learning about Rocky's crazy past and zany future plans. I hope to cross paths with him again in the future. Anyone would be extremely fortunate to have him for a guest!

I really enjoyed the little time we had with Rocky and Ruby. There was alot of chemistry and an immediate sense of familiarity. Unfortunately, there were alot of missed connections and we did not host. Maybe next time? I would love to visit and host them in the future.

Rocky is one of the coolest and funniest people i have ever met. With him the fun-o- meter is always high. I really hope to meet up with him again soon.

 

Rocky was an amazing host! Since it was my first time couchsurfing I was a bit nervous; however, Rocky and his sister made me feel at home. He really does seem like the kind of guy who would 'give the shirt off his back.' Although in my two weeks of travels I saw some wonderful places, staying at Rocky's was probably my favorite. I would be more than happy to host him and probably anyone he knows because, well, he's just that cool.

Rocky was a superb host. We were totally BFF for "like" (a little bit of my Valley girl accent slipping out) 2 days. I wouldn't recommend Montgormery, PA to anyone, unless you are staying with Rocky, in which case I highl reccomend it.
