ABOUT ME

Let's just say I enjoy life. I have done a bachelor of Arts and Media already and due to some strange succession of events I am now a primary school teacher studying journalism. I like to study ;)

I'm blonde, enthusiastic, energetic and sometimes a little rude but I think that could just be my dutchness. I feel happiest when I'm somewhere in a tree or on a roof or on a mountain or anywhere high. I love to laugh and to dance, but I am not the biggest party-girl. I am dutch but I don't take any drugs (not out of any principles but just because I don't like it) so don't come to my door if you want to smoke weed all day. I love to learn languages, though I've only managed with french, baaaasic nepali, english and german so far (I hope to include more languages in the list soon).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a bunch of times, also hosted a few people. I also found a travel partner through cs last summer, which was really successfull (we hitched to slovakia together).

Interests

I absolutely love anything to do with children; children's books, illustrations, games, and of course the kids themselves.
I am interested in education, nature, art, alternative 'stuff' (I absolutely love squats, community living and strange hippie gatherings, but also indie parties, campfires at the beach (or in caves), and fire spitting), and, of course (yadayada) travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Oldies, 60s and 70s music, swedish music (First Aid Kit, Tallest man on earth, Fever Ray)

Books: Everything Roald Dahl wrote, everything Astrid lindgren wrote, everything Annie MG Schmidt wrote and also just generally everything that's written for adults but still fun to read (so no shakespeare or dickens please).
