About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To liberate and awaken minds from fear and enslavement. To seek new experiences and adventures, without which life would be dull and unmemorable. To inspire others to find a better social life and dating life overseas in more authentic countries, rather than overly developed countries which lack social connection and authenticity.

ABOUT ME

My name is Winston. I grew up in California, but am now traveling the world and trying to live in multiple countries. I am a writer and self-employed with an internet business. I run a popular travel website that i make a living from. Its a movement that helps people who are lonely and unhappy in America find happiness and fulfillment overseas, giving them hope, validation and a solution out of the rut they live in.

I hope to move to Europe someday, because the culture and people are so soulful, passionate and broad minded, like me, so I vibe best with the mentality there. Im not a typical Asian because Im more of a dreamer, idealist and philosopher than a practical or materialistic person, plus im a freethinker.

Best wishes to you all for success, freedom and happiness.

Winston

PHILOSOPHY

Some of my favorite quotes:

"It takes far less effort to find and move to the society that has what you want than it does to try to reconstruct an existing society to match your standards."
- Harry Browne, How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World

"If anyone feels they "come out of their shell" when overseas, try to keep something in mind. That person you are overseas is the real you. The person you are in America is a prisoner, nothing more." - Grunt, HappierAbroad Forum

"The greatest awakening I underwent in my travels is that nations in reality are the exact opposite of how they are depicted in the media."
- Ladislav, Expat Advisor of HappierAbroad.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've used both this site and HospitalityClub.org. They've all been great experiences and I've met lots of wonderful people. I've used CS and HC in Lithuania, Poland, America, Taiwan and the Philippines.

If you would like to see more references about me beyond this profile, you can see my Hospitality Club feedback at http://www.hospitalityclub.org , user name "WWu777". Or you can view my references page at:

Interests

I enjoy traveling, writing, deep discussions, meeting interesting people, photography, tennis, billiards, ping pong, fooseball (table soccer), swimming, martial arts, hiking, coin-collecting, chess, scrabble, history, museums, science-fiction/fantasy, westerns, romance, cooking, cultural events, vegetarian food, metaphysics, New Age spirituality, philosophy, paranormal phenomena, and just living life to the fullest. I enjoy all styles of music except country, rap, and heavy metal. I am a vegetarian and my favorite foods are Chinese, Italian, and Vegetarian cuisine. My sun sign is Pisces with Scorpio rising and Gemini moon (for those who don’t know, the rising influences your outer personality and the moon sign influences your inner self and emotions). And my Meyer-Briggs temperament type is INFJ.
