This guy is great. He's intelligent, interesting, and fun. We met at his winter solstice event in Mexico and from there had many adventures, like hitchhiking in trucks, drinking under an amazing sunset, partying in a riverbed, sneaking into fancy resorts, crashing a Mexican family's home, and working in a garden together. Together with P-licker and Innocent, ''ahem'' is forever a part of the three amigos! Great to know you JC, and Ill see you on the other side!

JC is a great guy! I had the opportunity of meeting him in Cabo San Lucas in "El Pollo de Oro" and later on we went with more CS friends to a bar. Was nice to realised that we have some friends in common and lot of people know him. ;)

We spend a good night talking, eating and drinking at my place in one CS party. Is a nice guy that have a lot of histories.

Well what can i say? this guy is la onda! really easy going boy. I hosted him for 3 days, and these were 3 days full of fun and interesting talks. He fixed my bike, so we biked together in la paz and went to the beach!, i enjoyed discovering his world, he's such an interesting person. You must know him!

Nate is an amazing guy, fresh and full of good vibes and great ideas to change the world.. we could spend all day just talking.. I'm lucky to have met him, hope we meet again.

We spent two days with JC and his wonderful roommates. They were all very hospitable, outgoing and friendly. They know Portland very well and took us on an interesting trip trough the city by bike. It was a lot of fun spending our time with them and we miss the good food, JC cooked for us:)

We only met briefly for an exchange of goods and a quick chat, but JC appears to be a nice individual who truly embraces the couchsurfing spirit. I bet he'll become even more active in this regard once he starts using a mobile phone again ;-)

 

JC makes great guacamole (hint). I'm glad I got to enjoy some of it. He enjoys hugs and beer, but maybe not in that order. Oh, and he orchestrated Joel's bday spankings, so he can't be half bad... See ya around!

Nate and I are old college buddies who share many common philosophies, and if I could choose just one travel companion he is second to none. I live in awe and envy of the life he leads. His adventures are nothing less than inspiring. Grand are his ideas, big and bright is his soul. For a truer friend you could not ask.

Two friends and I stayed with JC and his roommates for one night. In the morning they offered us breakfast and we shared a nice conversation before we left. He told us some interesting stories from his travels. Very friendly!

Jc and crystal were absolutely great hosts. We had fun spending time with them. They were both very welcoming, funny, and sweet. We're glad they hosted us last minute and hopefully we meet them again in the future!

I met JC at a house party in Lincoln City, OR. It was my first ever CS event and I had a very enjoyable experience! I enjoyed JCs company and I hope another CS event is in our near future. He was also quite a cook in the kitchen.

I know JC from a CS beach house party. We also rode home in the same Van. He's a good guy and trustworthy

Jc can and will be doing lots of good stuff in this life of his.Walk with him for a day and you will feel as though you have just gone somewhere.

I was visiting Portland for a week and message JC about possible CS activities. He pulled together a super fun Ultimate game along the river. At the game I could tell that JC was concerned with making sure everyone one was included. Thanks JC for some awesome memories.

JC was our first couchsurfer along with a few other folks who spent the night and had brunch with us in the morning. He's welcome back on my floor anytime.

JC was so helpful! He and his friends just jumped in and found a way to help us. They were all very considerate and can party with the best of them. He's also been on some inspiring adventures you'll want to hear about.

JC is easy to talk to and brave enough to try out my fried rice. Serafin brought him to my pad and we talked each other ears off!! :D

 

JC was just gleaming as I saw him and greeted him. It was definitely great to finally meet someone I've been in contact for a while in cyberspace via CS. I would love to hear stories of his travel and his experiences to learn something from it. I am also looking forward to spending time with him. Just had a glimpse of JC's world and found it crazily open and transparent. One JC in your life (and his friends too) balances for 100 assholes.

JC is an inspiring open minded/hearted free spirit with a ton of beautiful energy.

 

It was almost immediately that JC approached me openly when we I arrived at CS Base Camp in Berkeley. He is open and friendly and obviously wants to make a positive mark on the world with his endeavours. I would love to spend more time with you JC - look me up if you make it to Australia!

We met randomly on the pier of Ocean Beach looking at a beautiful sunset. he is a very kind person, very easy to speak with him, and he loves simple things, like the sun reflected on the water (he says that is like looking at the stars, and that's true!!)... He lie also the nature, and going around with the bike, everywhere.
I would like to meet him again and may be biking sometimes with him.

JC is one of the most amazing human beings I've met! I had a very good time with him, he has a lot of great stories to share, he's sweet, smart, caring and very helpful, I wish he could have stayed loger! You cannot ask for a better couchsurfer than JC... non plus ultra!

 

JC is one of the sweetest guys I've met! He's like a cousin I never knew I had, always willing to pitch in and help out any way need - whether that be helping me cook dinner at CS Base Camp in Berkeley when I was the chef or giving our bike shed a major overhaul! One thing's for certain, though...I will see this cat again one day! No doubt!

JC is a great guy with an adventurous spirit that burns bright. He and a friend helped us with several projects around the property during his stay. He is extremely respectful and always has the interests of the CS community/host in mind.

JC is a maniac. In all the best of ways. He and his friends came by our house, cleaned up our bike shed (really amazingly well), stayed a few days and jammed with us nightly. They're about to embark on a tour through Central America, and if you could hitch that far on a bike I'd be right there with 'em.

Great navigator, awesome person to hang with, open minded... especially great to have around when on a bike! A very unique individual and a thinker.

 

While he was visiting our basecamp, he helped out with our bikes. And on top of that he helped cooking for 15 persons! He is sweet and fun and I wish him happy travels.

 

JC stopped by CouchSurfing's headquarters in Berkeley and was a huge help while he was here. He's a nice guy and I'm glad to have met him. Enjoy your journey!

JC and Mike came to CS Base Camp to volunteer while they were passing through on their world bike tour. They were so helpful in the short amount of time that they were here. Our bike shack got cleaned, organized and the bikes were put in working order. JC and Mike even helped clean around the house and make dinner in the evenings!

JC is a delight to talk to and hear his stories of travels on bicycles or otherwise. His upbeat spirit and smile defnitely lifted our moods around the house. I am so happy that they stopped by on that fateful day and we were able to put them to work! Thanks JC!

 

JC has got a good life going, and I was happy to contribute. He and Mike stopped by for one night, we hung out for a bit, and then they were off...

I expect to see him here and there over the next few years :)

I had the pleasure of hanging out and talking with JC at a CS event in Salem, and I can say with all honesty that I was left inspired by his zest and earnestness for adventure, life, and the good things in this world. The Couchsurfing is strong with this one.

Nate is a very passionate and unique individual. He is, as we say in my circle, "switched on". He's an interesting person to talk to, fun to be around, and yes, a little quirky too. A very good guy.

JC is the most genuine person I've ever met. He is always willing to help out and would totally go out of his way to make someone happy. He is a truly honest and inspiring person, and I feel very lucky having JC as a friend I can always turn to.

 

I've traveled with JC from L.A. to Portland... twice! Once in my airplane and once in my VW Bus. He's awesome traveling company, and he is a pro at living spectacularly well while spending little or no money. Meet him, learn from him, enjoy his company!

JC is an inspiration and a gift. He is my cherished friend, brother, soul mate, teacher, comrade, and fellow soldier in the fight against negative energy. He has a beautiful soul and loving open heart. I cherish every moment spent with him.

I met Nate at a show I played in Hawaii. He seems like a great guy. I hope to see him sometime in the future.

Had lots of fun with JC on Kauai, and was one of the best people I spent time with in Kalalau--a goodhearted, adventurous, naked juggler-

 

JC is completely respectful and full of interesting conversation. He offered to share his Whole Foods gift cards for road food and when I dropped him off he left me with a hug and some yummy baked goods from his mom. :-)

We met up in Austin and spent a very potent hour and a half chatting. He's a really interesting person and we share the same views on may subjects. I'm really glad to have met him!

JC and his buddy Mika are amazing guys. They are intelligent, fuuny, full of interesting talents and great guests. It was no burden having them in our home, in fact they made things much easier always willing to cook a meal, supply groceries, and even proof-read. We felt like they were our roommates in the end. Nate is a character and a half! I love the guys outlook on things and his openness for anything. Although we were hanging out as a group, I would have loved to spend some time hanging out with him one-on-one as he seems to be the kind of guy that just has a lot to offer and many crazy stories to tell. Nate is a kind of pilgrim of XXIst century. He's left everything but his bike and he goes around Europe... He's eager to discover people, and he brings a lot with his philosophy... A great guy who desserves your couch if you can !

For Nate actions speak louder than words, and he's truly living his ideals as he travels around. It was great to meet the man in the thick of all somewhere along the way on his monumental trip around Europe (and all the rest of the world it seems). He's a lovely guy, always willing to share his thoughts and whatever else he happens to bring along.

 

I spent a few days in Lyon with Nate while sharing the same host. He's got a nice philosophy and it's great to talk to him about everything. I wait for you in Rome when the weather will be warmer!

 

Nate Stayed 1 week at home and i was very sad when he left my apartment. He is very open and like to exhange and talking about everything, it's a pleasure to speak with him all times. He is a very interesting guy and... he is a juggler. He make me knows a lot of things about freegan, different cultures and sustainable living. I like his way of life. We exchanged our juggling balls with a sign on it too. I'll miss you.
