Chi sono

[2023 Update]

I live in Israel - in Jerusalem and in Pardes Hana.

I own a software company and work from Downtown Jerusalem WeWork offices.

At this point I am single, and happy.

I love to travel and when I do it's normally on business these days.

I have a team of developers out in Nepal, with whom I enjoy to trek in the Himalayas once in a few years.

Things I am into :

Healing arts! Reiki, Yoga, Meditation. Techniques that calm and mind-body and lead to happiness.

Lately I've also been into things like Cacao Ceremonies (or just chewing cocoa nibs), movement over exercise (ala Ido Prtal), spontaneous dance.

Being social, being happy, being explorative, being free.

CURRENT MISSION [circa 2010]

Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, Experience, Grow & Contribute

ABOUT ME

I'm a vagabond! Born in the Ukraine, I've lived all over Israel and Canada, and I've traveled along the roads, pathways of Europe, tha U.S.A and Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica and Japan.

After graduating university I quickly realized that working a 9-5 is not for me. I'm too free spirited for that! It took me about 3 years but I quit my job and started working for myself. One of my heroes is Tim Ferris who wrote the Four Hour Workweek. Amazing read! I also love listening to Napoleon Hill and everything to do with Buddhist meditation and mindfulness, to tame my raging and sometimes restless mind. It calms the mind and grounds the body.

I try to live life fully, simply, and adventurously, delve into experiences and connect with the people around me.

I strive to live in such a way that at every moment I experience, grow and contribute.

PHILOSOPHY

Live the high life by living the simple life and live the simple life while living the high life.

Rhe idea of treading through harsh terrain in sandals and shorts with a cane during the day, then showing up at some fancy conference wearing a suit and tie that same evening is just earth shaterring. I like contrasts and transitions.

"If you don't know where you're going, it makes no difference which way you take" -Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland)

But then again, that's OK!

Musica, film e libri

Lots! Discussing them is more feasible than listing them.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

[2023 Update:]
Reached a bunch of life goals at this point, but there's plenty more to achieve.

[Lol this was written back in 2012 or something:]
I feel like I'm suffering from ATDDD - Amazing Things Done Deficit Disorder.

So far they are:
Biked from Montreal to St. John's, Newfoundland
Quit 9-5 and started working for myself - that's still in progress!
I'm a volunteer dog walker at the SPCA - it's the best volunteer job ever!
