Chiara is a very uplifting person to be around; funny and music-minded, exactly the kind of people I like. I hope to see her again soon, maybe in Belgium...

I hosted Chiara and her mother for a weekend, and it was a great pleasure to have them as guests. Very independently they organized themselves while I had no time to be around..A pleasure to talk to and to sing with!

Always saw her in Milan and now even in Bremen! She´s a very nice, friendly and funny person. And she even brought her mother to the "Feuerzangenbowle"-event, that´s a real CS-Spirit! I hope we´ll meet again...No! I´m sure we´ll meet again! ;o)

I spent a 3 nights at Chiara's place. I enjoyed every day very much. Whole of familly took very well care of my, spoiling me with a great italian food. Chiara has a passion of singing and I could have a few chances to listen her singing together with her friends - I was impressed! Thanks a lot for a nice time in Ambivere and all help I got. Chiara is one of the first persons that i met here in Bergamo! Always talktive, with lot´s of travel´s experience, she is a person that does understand the Cs spirit! we have already met for some dinner and for sure we are going to do much more things togheter:-)

I met Chiara at Matteo´s house, close to Bergamo. It was a short tea, and a two hour conversation, but I can say she is a very interesting person with lots of stories to tell and a good couchsurfing background. She is an artist with her voice, so don´t miss her singing!!

Chiara offerd a pleaseant stay i her small village during the 2009 Bergamo event. She and her parents offered any possible help including a taste of some homemade food, a bathroom, a parkingsopt and so much more.. thank You!

Chiara hosted me and my sister twice for one day, while we were traveling to Morocco through Bergamo. She is so possitive person. Was really nice to have a chat with her. And also, she gonna be a rock star, so it is good to know people like Chiara ;)

I met Chiara during the 2 days that I was the Bergamo 'Invasion' that she organised. She was absolutely lovely to myself and the other CSers that descended upon the town. She was a smiling, relaxed pool of calm that just so happened to contain an amazing voice, too.

Chiara was my first official couchsurfing host, Chiara and her family are so easy going and generous they host more then 10 people for the invasion and ewerybody felt like at home.Thank's so much for the amazing weekend.

What to say about Chiara and the whole Gandolfi family. They are such a warm and great hearted family. Hosting 10 (or may be more) people at the same time and still finding the time to chat with everyone.

Hello, I'm Chiara, nice to meet you.

The first time I heard that sentence, It already sounded italian, and every other time I heard it, when she met other couchsurfers or my friends, it only confirmed that haha!

Chiara obviously is an experienced couchsurfer, she knows how it works and makes your life much more simple! Apart from the fact that she drugged me with chocolate to make me host her for a longer time hehe.

I could even trust her to be alone at my place, when I was back at my mom's house, and leave the keys there when she left. She didn't even steal anything!

Chiara was my life-saving angel when I needed a place to stay. When I met her, she was already being an angel to someone else. An elderly man had fallen and she was giving him a lift home. Then she took me to see her wonderful family and her wonderful village and gave me an amazing view of the best of Italian life, especially the food and wine. ;)

We discussed at length many CS issues and I never met any ambassador who cares more or does more for their local community.

Some people really should be born with wings on their back....

 

Do you wanna meet a girl really involved in CS? Here is Chiara. An always-smiling, always-talking, always-CSmeeting girl.
We was hosted by the same host in Montréal. I was there for just a couple of days and in this time I remember she was always inviting us to a CS meeting, a CS cultural exchange, a CS italian lesson, a CS invasion...
Now I know: she is addicted, but I loved her way to enjoy this community.

I met Chiara during her visit to Boston in Summer of 2009. After meeting her only for a short while, I realized she is exactly who I aspire to be! And was not surprised at all to find out that she was a CS Ambassador. She's incredibly outgoing, fun, friendly and independent. We met up for a few drinks at the Cambridge Brewing Company with a group of people and had great conversations. I hope to get to visit her sometime in Italy! If you're looking for advice, cup of coffee or a random adventurous night out, Chiara is your girl!

Chiara was a fabulous couchsurfer to host. She is cheerful. bubbly, independent and easygoing. She was even cooperative when we kidnapped her to go on a late night cake hunt.

We had fun despite my wrok overload. Chiara was very easy going and pleasant. We had a great time going out for drinks and bonus... she was absolutely willing to come with me to a party with a 70 ft slip n' slide!

 

I really enjoyed spending the day with Chiara. She was able to answere a lot of Q's I had about becoming an Ambasador.

I only hung out with Chiara for one random night while cake hunting in Boston but she was great fun and I cannot wait for her to come back!

She gave me a lot of useful information about CS.

I miss Chiara already... seriously... and it's only been 3 hours since she left my home. She really left her mark here. I felt lucky to have met her and shared music, food, and adventures together. Chiara was a great surfer, from the second she emailed me to the second she left. She was great about communicating, very respectful and fun to hangout with. My only regret is that we didn't get to spend as much time together as I would have liked to- guess I have to make a trip to Italy :)

I and my friend were in trouble when we arrived to Bergamo and Chiara helped hosting us for two days at her place. I am very thankful for the host and happy to meet so helpful, interesting and pleasant person as You :). It was nice to get to know real Italian family and spend some time with them, also it was my first time in Bergamo/ Alps and I got real pleasure visiting town and mountains. Also thanks for sharing with experience about India trip :). Best wishes.

 

Chiara is a very nice and interesting girl. She pick me up at the airport, and we have fun with some of her friend in a park. People played the guitare, and Chiara sang. She sings very well, I ll never forget her camberry song version. Her couch is so confortable, and her parent are very kind. Unfortunately i just stay one night, so I have to come back.

 

Chiara is someone I liked immediatly! She is a very nice, genuine and knowledgeable person. She has not only the voice, but also the heart of an angel!

We first met as we were surfing the same couch in Tuscany, then there was the Galiga fest and Milano Picnic where she convince me to come to home in Ambivere. I am so happy I did! I had a wonderful time. She and her parents were such generous hosts. She is a very good Ambassador for her beautiful region.

I met Chiara at Galiga... I already heard about her, so I was pretty eager to know her, actually.
Very friendly person, very nice chats. She is really committed to CS, she's a passionate ambassador for her city. I wish her all the best, and I am wishing to cooperate with her to create some meetings together.

UPDATE: Well, even if I knew this pal since June, I bet it's already time for a small update. She hosted me one night in her wonderful house, with her great parents, and the day after she showed me around Bergamo. Definetly, a great host but, more than that, a valuable and great friend.

Chiara! I think if I told the truth about my stay then Chiara would be way too busy with couchsurfers cause everyone would wanna come stay with this chickie.. but seriously -
Chiara was my first host and she was absolutely perfect. I had a wonderful time meeting her, and her lovely parents, eating the amazing food, hearing some of her little stories and experiences of travelling when we talked. She is patient, funny, helpful.. Went out of her way to help me, and gave me a wonderful introduction to both Italy and Couchsurfing. I would definitely surf this couch again and hope she comes to mine!

I met her two times during two cultural events in bergamo. Really interesting girl with a couple of stories/passions, easygoing and full of culture. For sure I like to met her again :)

 

Spent an extraordinarily full couple of days with Chiara and her wonderful family (inc. cane e gatto!) in Bergamo. Loved the wacky, surreal children's theatre; l'Aura in Trescore Balneario; and that night-tour of the city with the others from the vibrant Bergamo CS scene (mmmmm, bewildering choice of >200 pizzas and gelati!). And I don't think I'll ever forget those grand, sweeping views from the Castello ruins, or the tiny, precise details of the Lorenzo Lotto intarsia.

If you're ever lucky enough to have the chance to meet this patient, knowledgeable, free-spirited, ever-singing ambassador, seize the opportunity with both hands. Chiara's the real thing. Just make sure your profile's up to date first (a wrong I'm in the process of setting right...)!

It was nice to meet Chiara in a Bergamo province, while i and my university choir was having a concert at cosy Italian church. I found Chiara very interesting, despite that we had just a little time to talk, it was a nice experience to know her as a trully respectful, communicative, friendly and simply grateful person!!! If all the people were like Chiara, we would not have wars:) She helped us in a really bad situation when our agreed host canceled on us and we had nowhere to go. We had most grat time with her and her friends in Bergamo. Thanks again.

Chiara was a great host, and had to endure me arriving smelly and dirty, from my long ride fom Colico. She provided a inviting home, great conversation and found some live local music for entertainment. Ideal experiences. Next time, we can visit for more time I hope.

Chiara is truly positive and helpful character :) As we didn´t have host in Bergamo she invited us Bergamo´s parade against "falling asleep". It supported the idea of having a city more lively :) She and her other CS friends took some time and showed us their lovely hometown. At last she invited us to her home and let us sleep few hours in her place. Those few hours were best before our flight back home:)

I was sorry that I could surf Chiara's couch for only one day. I was tired when I arrived but the silence of the small town she lives in, the drinks and laughs we had with her two lovely colleagues and the wonderful private concert she gave us together with her friend/guitarist Matteo gave me new energy! I hope next time we meet they can play/sing a James Brown song for me...

 

She gave me and her guest a tour around Bergamo's old upper city. It was great! Too bad there wasn't more time. Very nice girl, who sings a lot, and is an AMBASSADOR too! ;)

Chiara has a fun air about her. The time we spent to was full of good humor and abundant conversation. Looking forward to meeting up again!

Chiara is real ambassador of Bergamo. She made me feel welcomed long before my visit, then fought some "force majeure" to meet... we did together simple things: walked, cooked, talked, shared brioches - simple things with Chiara fulfill my heart with bright happiness... and to hear her singing was really special and strong experience.
I can't stop smiling thinking about Chiara.
Update: in September I came again and brought more people. We were hosted by Chiara and her parents during Bergamo invasion. They have so much sincerity, warmness and tolerance for all us 10 guests.

Just a great girl and a brillant singer. Visitng Italy we didn't plan originally to meet Chiara. When we missed our flight to Poland we were quite dejected but fortunately thanks to her and our host we could leave behind our worries for a while. Hope see you one day!

Yes finally met her and hosted her after knowing each other for approximately two years.Actually it did not feel like I was meeting her for first time. Three weekdays were very little time to spend with her.Completely enjoyed walking in rains from east village to river side, small crowded concert and specially the bars.Learned a lot of new things about CS from her.Looking forward to host her in India or be her guest in Italy.

 

We had fun together the two days we met in occasion for the million member march in Milan.
We also stayed both at Mr. Mojitos place and had a nice overnight and day-after-experience ;-)

We met at Silas home, for lunch with the family. Chiara sat between Silas' dad and me (his mom). We had the opportunity to have a nice conversation and I had the best impression. Chiara is a very lovely person, and I'm looking forward to get to know her better.

I met Chiara after visiting Citta Vecchia with other Bergamo Csers, she is so welcoming & she invited me to a little party in a 14th century house, later she drove me to the airport & she tried to keep me in company.

I'm surprised I didn't leave you a reference already. I have never actually stayed with Chiara but I have meet her and talked to her enough to know that she would be an excellent host. I think I have visited Bergamo 4 times this year (so far) and each time we have managed to catch up for some food or drinks. She is also extremely helpful and a super organizer. She helped me find a host on my first trip as I was planning to stay in a hostel and I don't think she could have made a better match. The host she found me is by far the favourite person I have stayed with through CS and I can't thank her enough for helping me out. You should also get her to sing a little for you. She has a great voice which we had the joy of hearing at the invasion picnic.

Chiara is a real city embassador! She gave me a wellcome to the Bergamo group and to her city! She took me and my boyfriend for a beer at a nice non turistic place and drove us to a delicious restaurant.

I was always impressed with Chiara over group discussions and was looking forward to meeting her in her trip to Cochin when she suddenly arrived at my doorstep. Many interesting discussions, and I was glad that i got this chance to host this truly free spirit from Italy.

 

Chiara came like a breeze, gentle and quiet, and left us very sad that we could not help her much with her travel. My children could not even talk with her, please come again be our guest for a week.

I hosted Chiara for one night. We went out for a walk and ate dinner and looked at Gothenburg by night. She was a very nice guest.

 

Had a good weekend hosting Chiara, going for walks around town and by the beach, eating fabulous pasta (Chiara's cooking leaves nothing to be desired) and talking until the wee hours of the morning. We'll meet again I'm sure.

UPDATE: Chiara and I stayed in touch, and she returned for new years eve. And well... I'm now happy that she's my beautiful girlfriend. Hence, I don't think I need to say any more about how much I enjoyed hosting her, but after visiting her a few times I can add that she's an excellent host and a good guide to Bergamo and surrounding areas. She has also introduced me to several nice people, both from CS and personal friends and family, and I of course still find her company enthralling. But I might be biased, so you better meet her and form your own opinion ;)

UPDATE II: Our relationship didn't last, but I still hold her in high regard. I hope we'll stay friends.

 

She is very interesting and considerate. Easy to talk to, warm and caring.
We had fun walking around Gothenburg. I'd love to have her showing me some of Italy.

Chiara and I stayed at the same place in Lübeck for a weekend, she's a great, really friendly, and positive person to be around. And even made coffee for everyone!

First we met online and talked about India....but later Chiara sended me actually every time she was on msn a new youtube link of her accoustic/Rock Duo! As I were in Milano, we met up at Martas Place in Milano and she showed me the area around Duomo. Chiara is really nice and cool person and we share the same love for music and art. Thank you for the spontanious sightseeing in Milano!!!

I was really really glad to meet Chiara..really nice girl, funny, talkative, interesting, beautiful voice and very lucky girl!!(I'm so envious of her job!!:)))Hope we keep in touch!!

Chiara surfed my home in Valencia.She was really sweet person and it was interesting to chat with her.And she was first time to couchsurf but it was really nice guest to have.So if you any chance,I will recommend her a lotttt!!!

She is really friendly and open minded, so there was no problem from the first moment. We immediately became friends!!!!
