About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Relax... nothing is under control!

ABOUT ME

I'm a young teacher at a progressive school, and I think pedagogical and political commitment should always be related to a kind of "love" for people, and socially-relevant questions. (hopefully: Another world is possible!)

At the moment, I somehow feel that I spend too much time with work though, because I have too little time for all the other things I like to do.

For example: I'm a singer in a diy punk-band called "Hirnsäule" (-> hirnsaeule.de) and in a Cumbia band called "Los Muckeros" . I really like music, that's why I'm also organizing diy.concerts.

I'm always interested in new things (new music, new food, new languages, new impressions, etc.)!

I like cooking and eating a lot.

And at the moment we're trying to build a house for ~40 people with our self-organized house project as a part of the so called apartment-house syndicate (https://www.syndikat.org/en/) to take the new built house off the real-estate market. That also keeps me quite busy...

PHILOSOPHY

Humanity (and me myself) is hopefully intelligent enough to make some drastic changes in how to treat ourselves and our planet. Ecology and sustainability are important factors for our life ...and for the ones that come after us. (Eeh, is he talking about the cockroaches???) ;-)

And here's one from Calvin & Hobbes: "Sometimes I think, the best proof that there is intelligent life somewhere outerspace, is that nobody has tried to contact us."

Oh, and here's a poem I'd like to share:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In urgent cases I recommend calling me or sending an sms or WhatsApp because I don't check my profile too often: +49 151 211 85 103. // en casos urgentes es mil veces mejor llamarme o mandar un msj o WhatsApp porque no miro mucho mi perfil.

When I'm travelling, it could happen, that I ask for couches a little spontaneous (sometimes)... ;-) sorry in advance. If you're looking for a couch, feel free to do the same with me... sometimes i'm quite busy...sometimes I'm not. Just try.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and surfed with and without couch surfing, and met always interesting and great people. I consider this page a wonderful and useful tool to bring people in contact. I dislike the commercial turn of couchsurfing.

I made an exchange with AFS to Venezuela and Costa Rica in 2002/03, studied in Argentina in 2008 and came back many times between 2000-2012, wrote my master thesis partly in Guatemala 2013, and went on many more trips. The last "big" one was a project in Namiba: http://united-in-diversity.org/

Interests

Nice people, coffee, conversations and cooking! Bicycles and good music! Eating with friends! Good films. Beer & brewing it yourself. Good rum and fine spirits. Free-parties. DIY culture. Permaculture (beginner -> well, it's about life-long learning, or?). no dogma.
