5 years ago I got on plane for a year of travel, with every intention of making my way back to the UK. Forward to today and I'm still on the same trip.

Since then, I've lived in Australia, New Zealand, travelled South East Asia, Mexico, Central and South America. Along the way I picked up a rather charming Australian boy in Hanoi and we've been adventuring together ever since.

Our ultimate goal is to open our own hostel and dive shop in Indonesia once we get a bit more of the travel bug out of our systems. Along the way we've couch surfed, workawayed and hosteled it and even stayed in a couple of fancy hotels. Ultimately, the best part of travel are the people you meet who help make those memories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing gives you a true insiders look at the city, town or village you are in. I'm yet to meet a couch surfer who isn't interested in boasting about what makes their town so great and are not itching to show you the hidden gems you won't find in the Lonely Planet.

It's a great way to meet people and hopefully one day, you will be bale to repay them the favour.

I make an excellent lasagne (my Mother is Italian). Seriously, I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but it is the best you'll ever try.
