ABOUT ME

Shannon is a former teacher who dabbles in roller derby, music and theatre, travel, reading and napping. She has done stints with opera, belly dancing, professional singing, and one afternoon driving a pontoon boat.

Ben is an avid bicycler, backpacker, and camper, is picking up the drums and loves meeting CSers who speak German and Farsi so he can practice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We both surf and host, participated in some CS meet-up events, and hang with the CS camp crew at Burning Man. Shannon was also a host for Couch Film Fest 2014!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted and surfed in Asia and North America. We love meeting new travel buddies and seeing the places they call home.

Interests

Shannon- roller derby, arts (particularly music and performing art), reading, singing, swimming.
Ben- music, travel, hiking, biking, reading, running, dancing, drumming.

We're both scuba and motorcycle certified, and are contemplating getting pilot's licences.

Teach, Learn, Share

Shannon loves learning new styles and cuisines of cooking. Do you want to teach me? I'm happy to teach the basics of roller derby, sharing some karaoke evenings.

Ben can talk about music from all over the world for hours and loves to share and swap collections. He can teach the basics of bike maintenance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love to couch surf and meet new people- we'd love to take our hosts out for coffee/lunch/dinner/drinks, we're happy to cook, share our stories and can be handy if you need an extra person for hanging that shelf, painting that room or other home improvements.
