ABOUT ME

Life happens. Most of the time, things are great. When they aren't all we can do is try to make the best of it. I love to revel in the moment taking everything in with all of my senses. I have met so many wonderful people throughout my life, and I am excited to meet many more.

I am a Resident Advisor in a residence hall at the University of Michigan, and I am passionate about social justice. There is a lot of interesting social justice work that is being done within housing, and I am happy to be a part of it.

I am almost finished with my Bachelor's Degree, and I am excited to get out into the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just getting started, so I haven't actually hosted or surfed yet. I don't think I can actually host anyone yet, but I will surely be able to some time in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any yet! I am new to this, but I get so excited just thinking about it.

兴趣

Reading, learning, coffee, tea, biking, exploring, social justice, introspection, poetry, old typewriters, all kinds of music.

I think telling stories is one of the most powerful forms of communication that exists. I absolutely love listening to stories. Did I mention how awesome I think stories are?

I really love mechanical things like bicycles and old typewriters. I also love doing things by hand like writing letters and making food. Coffee is an amazing experience, as it involves both of those things, and I am well on the way to snobbery (this is not to say I won't drink whatever you have. Caffeine is caffeine).

My taste in music is dependent on my mood, but some artists that are never a bad choice are Ben Folds, Okkervil River, Tom Lehrer, The Shins, and Keith Jarrett.

I can teach English and essay writing (my job), a little basic acoustic guitar, a little book binding, a little coffee, and some science.
