Current Mission:
To love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul and strength, and to make expression of that love by the way I live in His world, unto His glory.
I come from a family of eight, and am the third of six kids. We are proudly half-Italian, and always proudly American. I currently live in my parent's home along with three other siblings. I work full-time at the Bookstore and take classes in addition. Lord willing, I hope to become certified as a grade school teacher sometime in the future.
CouchSurfing Experience
I am new to the CouchSurfing World, but just recently traveled to Ireland with a friend and enjoyed a few free nights through this outlet. I was very touched by the generosity and willingness of those whom we had never met to share whatever they had with us.
Interests
History and Culture, Books (particularly Children's Lit.), Sports in general but mostly Baseball (I'm a huge Boston Red Sox fan), Interior Design and Cooking (sometimes).
Philosophy
To know, love and serve my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the only truly essential thing I must have in this life. But I also believe this is the most fruitful, inspiring, and joyful thing I can do. So I find that as I grow in my knowledge of Him, and also of myself, I become more eager to know and understand this world He has made and the many people in it; and to appreciate its vastness and uniqueness as one small piece of the glory that is found in God.
Music, Movies, Books
One Favorite Book: Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
Favorite Music: Variations on Theme by Joseph Haydn by Brahms
Favorite Movie: Chariots of Fire
Types of People I enjoy
I think I enjoy most people. It's always good for me to meet people that come from very different backgrounds than my own, but of course it's always great meeting someone who thinks similarly to you.
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
I've enjoyed four missions trips to the Dominican Republic, and so enjoyed seeing and experiencing that culture. Recently, I got my first taste of Europe in a three week backpacking trip through Ireland with a friend. I would love to travel more.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
I hosted Chloe and her friend Annie for three nights. They were easy guests to have around, and I felt very comfortable with them. They were good sports about choosing to get up before sunrise to go tromping through a sheep field to a sunrise service on Easter that turned out to be....ALL IN IRISH LANGUAGE, so none of us understood a word of it! ;p haha.
