ABOUT ME

I love learning new things and putting them into practice. I like both and need both!

I quitted my job and I am re-orientating my career towards ethicaicall banking /microcredits, entrepreneurs support and social movements. I just finished a study on socially responsible investment funds (which are not as responsible as one would imagine).

I have recently joined a catalan network working for economic de-growth and promoting other ways of life as well as alternatives for self-organisation outside the capitalist system. It is just and amazing energy source to see that much people sharing their enthousiasm and commitment!

Well, maybe we can set up interesting collaborations and work (and have fun!) for a better world! SHARING views, experiences, tools, methodologies, contacts, and anything you could imagine!

I'm easy going, like travelling, meeting friends as well as new people and I am very much interested in demonstrating (through action/facts) that "another world is possible". Like dancing, listening to music, watching films, reading, trekking, playing football, skiing and many other things!

In June 2009 I quitted what has been my job over the last 8 years. There I worked as a consultant in creating and managing collaborative Research & technology Development projects. Besides, I did support several entrepreneurs in creating or planning their ventures.

From 2001 till 2004 I was member of a global NGO dealing with Tax Heavens, Tax Justice, international commercial agreements and public services (privatisation). I was part of a group focused on eduaction public services.

PHILOSOPHY

(Re-)volution starts at you: change your attitude and you will change the world

Principles driven: A wise person said "my country is the world and my religion is to do good".

Practice what you preach: words are blown away by the wind! Integrity is no so easy to keep... but nobody said it would be easy!

First seek to understand... and then to be understood! Talk less and listen more!

The more you share the more you have (and the less you have to worry about!)!

"Success" is 80% hard (fun) work and 20% talent... or maybe 90/10! Patience & persistance are always key!

Transparency: people owe to know and will understand if properly informed or if given the mechanisms to find the information themselves.

Read everything, listen to everybody, don't trust anything unless you can prove it with your own research!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm now sharing an appartment with 2 friends but I will be going to Brasil for 6-18 months so have no couch to offer nowadays.

I'd be happy to host people as soon as I arrive to Brasil! For now I'm fully available to meet people visiting my hometown Barcelona or sourrandings and I'm very much keen on meeting people throughout Brasil!

Interests

- ENERGY, the binder between us all (up to the Universe). I started practicing YOGA and I'm keen on keep doing it. I like feeling connected.

- Welfare development, from "wealth" creation and distribution to politics and social movements (the last very much preferred!). Alternative social systems.

- Public services & human rights (and duties?)

- Entrepreneurship: taking action to solve problems or explore and develop new opportunities.

- "Ethical banking" / microcredits
- Cooperation / collaboration at all levels: if you could do it together with others... why shall I do it alone?

- Pshycology / emotional intelligence / empathy / coaching / ...

- Organisations' management by principles and inner motivations; helping others achieveing their goals!
