About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I love the outdoors, including hiking, playing naturalist, skiing and other things. I also love dancing and live music, mostly I like singing folk songs. I really enjoy laughing and I do it a lot. I like good food, farming and cooking are important to me. However, I will eat most anything.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live and learn and help people and the environment. Mostly I really like to have fun and play with friends as I go about doing these other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a couple people when I lived in Missoula, Montana and have now surfed in Mexico City, and Europe! It's been so wonderful. Couchsurfer people rock my world! Now I'm getting into it as a way for meeting people in new places I go and organizing events as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had really generous inspiring hosts who make me want to be better! as a person and a host. They've taken me to symphony's on bike rides on rooftops for sunsets, given me food, places to sleep and so much fun! It's really amazing to be given so much by strangers. Thanks ya'll

Music, Movies, and Books

Dont Push the River by Barrie Stephens. The Secret life of Bees., Hand Sculpted House Leonard Cohen, Bluegrass, Life in the Undergrowth is an amazing movie about bugs and snails and such. It's truly fascinating and the British accent enriches the experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked trail crew for a summer stationed in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. No cars, phones, computer or other technologies for 2 1/2 months. Our food was packed in 30 miles on mules. I did my laundry in a bucket. It was a life changing and great experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some about plants and animals and naturalist skills. I can weave baskets from willows, crochet, knit, sew and cook. I've taught a few people to play basic guitar. I also like to climb buildings. I want to be a better watercolor painter.
