About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save the world from stupidness and barriers!! (I know it's an utopia...)

ABOUT ME

Actually working in a hotel as a receptionnist but also studying (again, at last!!), just started my PhD in archaeology, because I never give up and there is no reason not giving oneself the chance to do something he loves, even if it's for nothing in the end, but at least there is no regrets (and who knows?)
My research is about japanese mirrors from Yayoi period and I'm going to Japan for this same reason, as we don't have much "visual" documentation here about it.
Concerning life, learning is everything for me, languages, cultures, how to have fun, how to finish a drink without finishing yourself...nothing is to get lost!

******UPDATE******
Finally living in Japan since march 2016! Working as an english teacher in Komoro, while I try finishing my doctorate (and again I discovered a whole new job). Too lazy to change this profile right now :-p Hoping I'll go back to couchsurfing soon :-)

PHILOSOPHY

How can I have one in front of the world we're living in? Just trying to give back a sense to the word "human", a sense lost by most humans a long time ago...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Actually I have a very very small place to live and it's impossible for me to have a couch (i don't even have one), shared with my lovely cat, and not much time for something else than working, but sometimes it's good to have a rest. So if I can help someone to know better Paris or I can give you some tips, to take a coffee or a drink can be ok.
And sure if you need any tip for Paris I can help you even if we don't meet (I work in a hotel front desk, it helps a lot).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first in Romania, and it confirmed me how wonderful is the couchsurfing project. My hosts were all great, and I'm trying to convince people around me to participate in this. I really hope it will always be the way it is now!

Interests

Everything, even more when it comes from other cultures, the world, travelling again and again nevermind the conditions, nature and big landscapes, reading, walking, making pictures, photoshop and creation, science, astronomy, archaeology...and Japan where I plan to live!

Music, Movies, and Books

Scary movies and books (with a story and making your heart bump, not just blood painting), historical ones, fantasy (Tolkien, Martin), actually reading Indridasson (I really love his books) and "re-reading" my old classicals like Wilde, Poe, Stevenson, Beaudelaire, Pouchkine and company...a special mention for H.Murakami and Banana Yoshimoto.
For the music i'm more into heavy metal (Dir en Grey, Rammstein, System of a Down, Arkona, Orphaned Land, Septicflesh, Arkan, Solstafir, Dagoba, Insomnium, Otep, Machine Head, Negura Bunget, Gojira, Chimaira and many more) but i can also listen to traditional, classical, rock...
This is just a general idea because I'm very ecclectic, there's too much to write down, I'll think of it later to precise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding over the Pyrenees mountains, feeling like a bird for a few minutes...

Going southern Siberia (Tuva Republic) for an archaeological excavation, my first time in Russia which I didn't expect to look like this!

Spending a night in Pic du Midi astronomical observatory, one of the 4 best in the world. Wish I could do the others too...

And travelling, because all my travels were a unique experience, and all the people I met have a place in my brains and heart, even if I don't have news back, they all have a special place.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is vague..languages (both ways), how to survive in any condition?? but that's what travels are for sometimes...
And tales, local folklore, old or not: they can teach you so much about a country and its people, we should never loose them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Difficult question, as it can change with every person. Music, discussions about life, travels, some sense of humanity maybe?
