I'm on a musical mission to the land of North America. I'd like to see a real cowboy, smoke a cigarette in one of NYC's downtown jazz clubs, watch a grunge band in Seattle, march with PETA, order pie from a diner in a one-horse middle of nowhere town....

I am a musician, this is what moves me - both literally and figuratively. First and foremost I am a bassist - the right kinda groove can make my day! I do however also tinker in piano, guitar, flute and the odd bit of this and that. Music and events are what I've been working in for a while, promoting local artists and networking the industry to take talent from South Africa further afield as well as bringing promising bands / acts to the shores of my home town! I also freelance in the film industry and am currently managing the post production department of a wildlife documentary production company. I am passionate about animals and conservation, writing my own stories on the subject with the hope of getting them out there sometime soon!

I've climbed along the wing of an aeroplane with a parachute on my back, I've played on a stage with thousands of people listening to my music, I've saved a dolphin from beaching itself, I've shared a conversation excluding words with a Masai warrior in the Serengeti, I've climbed the Tor in Glastonbury, I've painted faces on a pavement at the Edinburgh festival, I've met the Queen, I've fallen - off a horse - in love - out of love - from the sky, I've eaten the world's best plate of pasta on a mountain peak in Italia.....

I'd really like to connect with other musicians or people who are somehow involved in the music scene. Even if you're just an enthusiastic listener, that's perfect :) I don't eat meat for a number of reasons, but will not impose my views on you if you are willing to respect mine. We all need to coexist happily together! We learn from each other all the time, whether travelling or at home. Every day is an ongoing adventure.
