Quentin MAUGARS

Thanks to Quentin and Sam for everything!!! It was nice to go for a walk and drink belgian beers hehe
I really like Antwerp, I think its a nice city with nice people!!!

Quentin and Sami are two of the coolest people on this planet. I was totally blown away by their kindness and warmth, and had so much fun just getting to hang out with them and talk. I really admire Quentin's expertise in and commitment to really good beer. Getting to walk around town with Sami was really chill and fascinating. They also have great friends! Nothing would make me happier than to show you around DC sometime.

Quentin was an amazing host. He generously hosted three of us in his apartment, took us out for drinks, and even shared some of his homeade beer from his cellar. A wonderful person, and I would give him a very positive reference for any other potential surfers. Cheers, -Evan

 

Quentin is the right guy to introduce you to the CS project! He and his girlfriend Sami hosted us in Antwerp and all went so well I have to meet them another time!! Thank you very much!

Quentin was my first CS host and I could not have hoped for a better experience. He is clearly passionate about the CS movement. We felt very welcome and learnt a lot about great beer! I hope our paths cross again one day.

Quentin and his girlfriend were kind enough to host me at the last minute in their Antwerp flat. I had a great time tasting Belgian beer, wandering around town with Sam, and attending a CS Antwerp event. Quentin really inspired me to get back involved with other parts of CS, and I'm looking forward to working with him on more CS projects!

 

Quentin (and Sami) was a wonderful host in Antwerpen. He is a master when it comes to Belgian beers and recommendations...so definitely at least meet up with him for a drink! He was a very friendly and welcoming host--we even "cooked" pizza together for dinner one night and went out for drinks with friends! Thanks Quentin!

it's a pitty that we could only stay for one night at quentins flat. he was very nice and i hope to see him and samy again for getting to know each other better!! you both are always welcome in munich:)

First time when I met Quentin it was for my moving to Ireland ... unforgetable time, thanks a lot for your helping !
Second time it was in Dublin but I couldn't host him because I was without home...

Quentin is a very nice guy (and I agree to say that he is very cute also (Michiel doesn't have a very clear opinion about the «cuteness of Quentin...:)haha!!!:) Me and Michiel were homeless in Antwerpen before our moving day and he offered us to stay at his place! He made us taste very nice and rare beers and even made Michiel discover a new bar he didn't know in his own city! I really want to keep in touch with him because he is a simple guy that made me feel a little bit more «home» in my new city and I like it!

I surfed Quentin's couch for one day and although it was a thursday night, he still managed to "entertain" us by taking us out to bars and we and we had a nice talk. And although he was quite tired he offered to watch a movie at his home till 5 am ;)Thank you for your couch and see you at the next CS meeting!
(Plus for those who are interested he lives 2 minutes from the fashion street of Antwerp :D)

I couchsurfed with quentin for 3 days while looking for my own place, he is a great guy, every couchsurfer's dream,with an enviable collection of music and beer knowledge....don't let him catch you drinking it out of the bottle though! :)

since we're pretty much neighbours now I hope here are more of those beer-drinking sessions yet to come :)

Quentin is just about the perfect CS host. He is extremely friendly and welcomed us (I as traveling with a friend) into his home from the first minute. We had a great time in Antwerp, for a large part due to Quentin. We went to a bar at night and he shared a tiny part of his extensive beer knowledge with us, which was just great. We shared travel experiences and he told us much about his plan for a world trip (which sounds amazing, by the way).
I hope to see him in York someday!

 

I really enjoyed hosting Quentin at my place although I was quite stressed because I had to finish my thesis in like 2 days. But he was a great study partner as he made no noise at all and even made me study more:)) He is a great chat buddy as he can talk on absolutely anything and he is a good listener as he had to listen a lot of stuff about my thesis:) Hope to meet you again some day!

Quentin is a great host!

Very friendly, open and kind. We spent one night (we would like to spend at least a bit more :) at his place in Antwerp, and everything was great - beer, atmosphere and evening talks.

I, along with a friend, stayed with Quentin for one enjoyable night in Antwerp. We shared the evening with a Russian couple who were also Couch Surfing with him, and they cooked a great meal. Quentin shared his Belgian beers with us and although I am not usually a beer drinker I was taught the meaning of real beer! Thanks for a memorable experience in Antwerp, and you are welcome to stay with one or other of us in the UK at any time.

A very friendly and casual person, he was extremely enjoyable company introducing us to fine Belgian beer and providing us with maps and picking us up at the train station. It was a pleasure to CS with him and i hope to see you again soon.

Quentin was my first ever couch surfing host and he was great, he took me out for some beers with his friends and then gave me a late night tour of the city… and he even made me dinner :) Would love to return the favour if you ever visit Sydney!

We stayed at Quentin's place for two days and I really enjoyed it! He's a very nice guy and has many interesting and funny stories to tell. It's also because of his great hospitality that Antwerpen has become my favorite city:-)!

We were hosted by Quentin in Antwerp. We had a lot of fun, including a ride on the local funfair I will never forget. We had fun, good conversations, not to mention he is very kind and helpful. If you should ever meet him in person you're a lucky guy and you should definitely host him.

 

Quentin is a very sweet relaxed guy.He has a broad vision on the world and a big interest in people (almost as big as his interest in belgian beers) We share a passion for travelling and he even allows me to take his holy planet on my next trip and write in it :-).

Quentin is as GREAT guest as a host!!!

Quentin is a cool guy! We had a great exchanging in music (he has a huge collection with any kind of music). Also he introduced us with a Belgian beer culture even found a Belgian bar in Riga and we didn’t know about it.

 

Quentin is nice guest. He was just kind of unlucky and couldn't get the Tallinn Hospitality feeling. Somehow at the same time everyone had health problems and low energy.

A really nice and well-travelled guy, even though he was not feeling too well at the time when we met (me neither :) - but I'm happy you didn't cancel you trip altogether and could spend some time in Tallinn. Plus you were even brave enough to participate in a CS-team meeting that was mostly in Estonian - 12 points for that!

I met Quentin while he has been in Tallinn. I have not spent with him that much time - but it was great to show him some part of a city! Though to hear some funny stories... ;o) He is polite and respectful person. Absolutely I got some more knowledge on CS and also France!

Very kind, welcoming, and lots of good energy and experience. We met through a couch surfing friend in Paris and he offered to drive me from Paris to Antwerp. Now he has showed me the best beers in the world and is more of a amazing friend than an awesome host...

Quentin and his friends were lovely people who made me and my friend Robin feel very at home! It was a real treat.

 

My roommate and I had a very nice - although short - stay with Quentin in his nice flat in Antwerpe. We tried some very nice beers and learned a great deal about that! He is also very involved in the couchsurfing project and told us a few useful things we didn't know about it. Cheers!

It was very nice meeting Quentin! He was a very generous host and I enjoyed my stay at his place very much. Not only I slept comfortably on his "couch", enjoyed his home cooked meal, but I also was pleasantly surprised to be invited on a road trip around Belgium. Can't ask a better experience than that! Can I?

He is a really great guy! Fun to be around and interesting to talk to. But be aware if you join him on a bike ride! He's fast like hell. I could hardly catch up with him !:)

 

We first met Quintin at a monthly couch surfing event in Antwerp. He has very friendly and helpful. He already invited us to his place for a drink. He is a great guy and its nice knowing him.

It was great to meet Quentin, he'd managed to organise a whole crew of CS people and was incredibly welcoming. He's a lot of fun and has encouraged me to do a lot more couchsurfing in the future.

my friend Anne-Laure and I surfed on Quentin's couch this summer. First experience. In fact, he let us sleep in his very welcoming and comfortable couch while he was almost sleeping on the floor. just to say how much he was devoted for us!

Mr "organisateur" !! I meet him during the "record" super meeting in La Rochelle. He know how and like hosting people. Very invested into CS, he`s a "nomad ambassador", motivated and active, who love sharing his experiences. Good feeling with him. Somebody you can rely on.

We met him in La Rochelle and he showed us around, told us a lot about CS, gave us some beers to try, tried to find solutions for our problems (where to leave our baggage...), organized a good meeting, invited us over for a diner on his balcony......

I met Quentin while I was on trip in La Rochelle, he welcomed me when I arrived, organized a meeting, helped me when I needed, he's very fun but also very nice, interesting, helpful, warmhearted. It was really pleasant to spend time with him, he's really a great guy.

Quentin greated my friend and I in his little but how sympathetic studio in La Rochelle, not so far from the sea... As he had time and as he nicely wanted to take it, he showed us where the beautifulest parts of the city were, brought us to the beach, made us discover new international and fabulous beers and french saucisson...

From the beginning on Quentin was really nice and friendly to us. And what I really liked about him was him being extremely talkative and interested which was so important cause we didn`t stay long - BUT we had: great music, "poster expert", horror movies before going to sleep and a living beer-guide!!!

I met Quentin in a cs meeting, he is a very nice person, and the first people able to make me drink some beer, thing that I thought impossible! I'm really happy to know him. He hosted me too for a great meeting, he is just a perfect host!

I spent a very good time in La Rochelle and with Quentin. He's very friendly, openminded and an interesting person:) Tell me when you're in Switzrland;) and thank you for all:)

I stayed with my friend Jasmin at Quentins house for one night and he was our fist couchsurf experience. He is a very lovely person that showed us around in La Rochelle. We´ve definately had a great day!! But next time we´ve got to go to that bar and have a beer for breakfast. And Quentin, rember one thing:never clean your windows, it could also hurt YOUR back ;)

I host him for a night when he decided to meet Poitiers' CS members at a meeting. He's a very nice boy, interesting and easy going, proud to be ambassador he's a good one!

It was my first experience of CS and Quentin was a perfect host. He's a so nice and very attentive person. Quentin is so interesting too ! Communication is very easy with him and he explained me CS project very well. Althouhgt I had a lot things to do Quentin was volonteer to meet my friends and we shared good moments together.So, Quentin is an openmind person, very generous and attentive. After few minuts talking with him, I knew that we could talk hours and hours !
He's an active man, always something to do, somewhere to go... In few words, he's really nice and interesting !
If you need help in La Rochelle or other places you go, you can ask him :) This generous guy will help a lot of CS to begin their experience in the community and that's why I really appreciate him !

We met only once, but he's obviously well into CS, knows how to use it and most of all how to make it interesting. I think he really cares for the people he meets, which is great. I like the way he takes part in the CS concept. I would definitely surf his couch, and let him surf mine!

 

How to say... I don't really know him well, so why do I "extremely positive" him? The guy is just full of good vibrations. You should check him out.

Calm guy... that's because I partied the previous night until 6 in the morning and didn't really sleep afterwards. Anyway Quentin is a very nice person. We had a couple of Belgian beers at my place. Thanks for forgeting three botlles in my fridge ;-)

It looks like Quentin knows all CS-members in the world, maybe because he´s easy going and like the idea very well. We had just a short time, but good conversation about a lot of differnt subjects.

 

Quentine and his friend surfed my couch for one night. We didnt have too much time to know each other but they were really nice easygoing and respectful guests.

It was really nice to meet Quentin, he pick me up when I was losted (it was far away), and he is such and easygoing person.

Quentin was a wonderful guest and a person to spend time with. He would fix things and try to make you feel comfortable. He confused my directions to pick up one of my CSers and felt guilty about it and do what he could to make up for it. I felt very comfortable around him.

Quentin is a caring host, unfortunately he neither sleeps nor eats much so it was a bit of suprise to him how much veg we bought with Sharika and that we would actually cook to eat :-)

 

Quentin definitely loves Couchsurfing and is really putting a lot of energy into it. He is a kind and quiet guest. I loved the conversations we had - too bad I was ill and couldn't spend more time with him.

 

Quentin is the perfect guest. He is a really chill guy with whom it is impossible not to have fun with. Highly motivated to contribute to couchsurfing in any way he can and great person to travel with.

Friendly music lover who is just the kind of traveller you'd like to meet while out and about in the world, didn't get to spend that much time together but I can still say he's a real nice guy.

 

Quentin is a very nice guy, despite his young age he is very mature and responsible. I enjoyed his staying very much and he is welcome whenever he wants to come back to Padova. I won't forget our hike on the Euganean Hills, had a great time!

Quentin is a really chill guy and it was nice to hang out with him at this hectic night in Toulouse.. I hope your Europe trip is going to be great;)

Life is sometimes incredible! I hosted Chael, who later told me that he was hosted by a great guy in La Rochelle who was planning to come to Toulouse. I was waiting for his mail when I actually met him by chance in at a party!! He was indeed very friendly and interesting to speak with. I definitely want to see you again, we have to tell each other about our travels and things!! ;)

Nice guy, it was a pleasure meeting and hosting him, even if only for one night! We exchanged impressions on CS, being both newly ambassadors, and movies!

Although we didn’t spend much time together, since I was very busy working and preparing my trip, I can say Quentin is a gentle and polite guy, and I had very interesting conversations with him while he was surfing my couch. I hope I’ll get the chance to visit you in France, and to share stories about your rail tour of Europe and my bike trip in Spain (hopefully not as rainy as yours!)

Quentin was a great guest -- I enjoyed talking with him, and was especially grateful for his help starting the coals in the barbecue (using twigs and leaves, no less)!

I met Quentin on a CS Group meeting in La Rochelle. He is hell of a good and nice organizer and highly motivated to make a lot of things in the CS community of La Rochelle. If you came here and had a top stay, bet he did something for it !

This was an amazing experience since Quentin was positively devoted to helping me, introducing me to his city and making me feel at home. If I could, I would vote for him as La Rochelle ambassador since he fits the idea so well.

 

A couchsurfer was in his apartment and he invited us at home for the meeting of the group of La Rochelle. He is serious, friendly and hope becoming ambasadeur.

Quentin is an ambassador of the CS project in La rochelle! it's by him that i knew couchsurfing! he's a nice guy, generous, who likes share his main hobbie (the beer!) with others people. enjoy him!

 

I had an excellent time with Quentin! He's a very down-to-earth dude, and a surprising good biker after just two weeks! He knows beer, he knows how to have a good time. He's a true CSer and knows how to welcome guests. His potes are really cool, I had a great time gettin peshed! I would easily welcome Quentin anytime chez moi, super intelligent, super nice, super human being. Update: we met up in Salzburg and had a super time just taking it easy with a beer on the river, and trying to break into Burger King. See you soon Q!

How could I forget my good friend Quentin! It was truly the best couch surfing experience for me to host Quentin and his travel partner Anthony. We spent some great moments together touring San Francisco. Quentin has allot to offer his hosts when he surfs your couch with good conversation and a generous personality. Despite the bad weather I had a good time La Rochelle. Quentin is very organised, sportive person, crazy enough to go to Spain by bike from La Rochelle. I wish you the best for your trip around Europe!

 

La porte de chez Quentin est tjs ouverte pour un couch, non pas uniquement parcequ'il a trafiqué l'interphone, mais parcequ'il sait ce que c'est que de devoir faire 70 km supplémentaire dans son parcours. Roi de la cascade (ou des figures sur BMX au choix) et ardent opposant des altermondialistes pour aller 5 fois par semaine au Mc Do', Quentin est un garçon super organisé par son classement d'albums de musique à en faire palir n'importe quelle radio et par la préparation de son Tour d'Europe 2008 auquel je souhaite un franc succés. It was a very nice stay in La Rochelle. Quentin was a friendly host who showed us a lot of the student life, we even had fun with his friends.

Quentin was a great host. He is very social and one of these people that are just enjoyable to hang around with. He joined us at our visit to "ile de re". The evening we've been hanging around with his friends and didn't feel just like tourists anymore.

 

Great guy. Open minded, respectful, helpful, generous, nice, friendly, trustworthy... a delight to host.

This man is really smart but he doesnt know what vegetables look like and he can kill for a big mac !!! Be Carefull ! ^^

We met at a CS meeting, this guy has a very good sense of humour, and is involved in a lot of organizations. Very cool guy, hope we will see him again sometimes

He is a polite, very nice, considerate person. has good sense about music and lots of passion for life. He is a freedom. If you meet him, you will know that what kindness is. Thank you very much; Quentin! for giving great chances to experience things priceless! All of his friends that I met in La Rochelle are very funny and nice,too

Good friend from school, with whom I've done many trips, like a 375 miles long bike trip in France to Spain, and a month round trip around the California (by CS).
Beware, he's a fast-food addicted man, he can kill to have food, especially if it comes from Taco Bell...

I got a little taste of France when I hanged out with Quentin. He is a really cool guy who is very openminded and I applaud him for that. Hopefully I will see him on the other side of the ocean some day.

quentin is a very nice young man, easy to be around and quite adventurous.

Cs host brought us together in San Francisco. We did some city sightseeing and went to the Muir woods and went to see a play. Quentin is a very nice person, it was a great experience and we are looking forward to host him in Stockholm some day.

Great character. Quentin and Anthony will be my bike touring partners in Europe some day. Maybe we'll even go to a festival before the bike trip...who knows. Hope to see him and Quentin in the future.

quentin and anthony were great; i would recommend them to anyone...even though, sadly, they didn't capitulate to my healthy-food brainwashing...we loved them and hope someday to see them again.

Quentin was by far the most quiet couchsurfer we have had to date. i even told him he didn't have to be so quiet and he still was! Incredibly tidy too! He has an awesome taste in music, so if hes listening to tunes, ask him about them! (thank you for all the nifty band recommendations Quentin!) Hes more than welcome to stay with us again.

 

Quentin is such a great guest...He and his friend started by introducing me to Pineau:), a wonderful french 'wine' from their region in france, it is YUMMY! He was very clean, extra polite, curious and so friendly:) welcome back anytime!!!!!

He's not a hamburger

A very energetic and encouraging person who is always ready to help you out. I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday on a litte island on the French coast. Was super! Very amusing person who I love to keep into touch with!

He was a good guest. Picked up after himself and had a good smile. I was not around too much while he stayed with me and was unable to really show him some fantastic hospitality, but fortunately my housemate Kat picked up the slack.

Il est le premier a plaisanter avec legeretée sur tout et n'importe quoi, mais il sait aussi être sérieux quand c'est nécéssaire. déconneur mais pas con, honette, sociable, attentionné, investis dans ses projets, pour toutes ses raison je nome quentin grand master couchsurfeur of the word.
