FAQ about my Couch (You may want to read this)
Q:What do you need to be my CouchSurfer?
A:1.Nothing*
* This is in fact a lie. You need a CouchSurfing account with some information about you and if possible one or more pictures
Q:Why did you lie back there?
A:Because, well, it's sort of true, you don't need to be any sort of age-group, gender, ethincity or anything else. You don't need to be interesting, you don't need to be interested in me. You don't need... wait, ok, you need clothes... I think you need a permit to run a nudist camp. So you need at least that to get through my house. But that's it! I promise!
Q:What's that bit about being interesting or interested, isn't CouchSurfing all about cultural exchange?
A:Yes! No! Yes!
That is to say, I think the general concensus is, it is. And I agree with that. CouchSurfing is about cultural exchange in the same way that cooking is about food.
Q:What?!
A:Okay, see here it is. Cooking is about food, but er.. it's also about eating and... well That's a bad analogy but you see er...
Q:Would you bloody well GET ON WITH IT?
A:Yes, ok so here's the deal, friend. At my place, you are not a guest. You are at home.
Q:Does that mean I get to prance around naked?
A:Now, we've already dealt with nudist issues. What I'm saying is: you don't owe me anything. Most CouchSurfers feel that they have an obligation to their hosts to share with them wonderful stories and all that mumbojumbo.
Q:But what if I'm BORING?!
A:Would you stop interupting me? This is exactly the point I'm trying to make. Maybe you're boring. Maybe you're just stopping here for one night on the way to Beijing and you have to get up in the morning to catch the next train/bus/hitchhike/spaceshuttle/interdimensional doorway, and the last thing you can be bothered with is telling some earthling all about the time Zoth overthrew your ancestors' Martian empire, nor do you want to hear is his trite little stories about when the local windmill was built. Maybe you just fail at making conversation with people who aren't roundbreasted young women or tall bronzed men, rippling with muscles.
Does this mean you should be denied a place to sleep?
Q:Well, Does it?
A:Absolutely not.
Q:But what if I do want to tell you my super awesome stories and am doing this because I'm wanting to make friends for life?
A:Then if you're staying long enough, and you don't come when I have a lot of work to do (ha, me, work?) then there's a good chance at that aswell. But the thing of it is, it's not mandatory.
Q:What if I didn't feel like reading all of that and I skipped straight to this?
A:If you suffered a good old case of tl;dr (too long;didn't read) here it is in a nutshell.
If you stay here, you don't owe me anything, and I don't owe you anything, any exchanges, cultural or otherwise are completely optional, from both sides.
Q:Do you know this isn't actually an FAQ unless these Q uestions were A sked F requently?
A:I asked myself them, and I determine what passes for "frequent" so there, now, go write up your CouchSurf requests, you smartass.

I live smackdab in the center on the main shopping street
I don't smoke (except a hookah sometimes), smoking is allowed in the common room, balcony, just not in my room. Weed is ok. Alcohol is ok, as long as you don't get super drunk and do something too stupid as a result (like break stuff).
I like having people over for about a week, but my girlfriend, whom I live with is more into a few days. Friends (198)

Personal DescriptionFormer Computer Science student. Lover of Norway, all sorts of tea, and spicy food. What do these numbers mean?
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you. References (218)218Positive 0Neutral 0Negative
