Groups I Belong ToCouch Information
Couch Available: Definitely! Preferred Gender: Any Max Surfers Per Night: 5
Shared Sleeping Surface: No Shared Room: YesI have two matresses, a long couch, a short couch and some bed-under thingy that can serve as a sleeping place. All of them in the same room.
However, the natural curve of my room makes that there is some semi-privacy FAQ about my Couch (You may want to read this)
Q:What do you need to be my CouchSurfer?
A:1.Nothing*
* This is in fact a lie. You need a CouchSurfing account with some information about you and if possible one or more pictures
Q:Why did you lie back there?
A:Because, well, it's sort of true, you don't need to be any sort of age-group, gender, ethincity or anything else. You don't need to be interesting, you don't need to be interested in me. You don't need... wait, ok, you need clothes... I'm not sure I could get all 5 housemates to agree with the idea of nudists staying here. So you need at least that to get through my house. But that's it! I promise!
Q:What's that bit about being interesting or interested, isn't CouchSurfing all about cultural exchange?
A:Yes! No! Yes!
That is to say, I think the general concensus is, it is. And I agree with that. CouchSurfing is about cultural exchange in the same way that cooking is about food.
Q:What?!
A:Okay, see here it is. Cooking is about food, but er.. it's also about eating and... well That's a bad analogy but you see er...
Q:Would you bloody well GET ON WITH IT?
A:Yes, ok so here's the deal, friend. At my place, you are not a guest. You are at home.
Q:Does that mean I get to prance around naked?
A:Now, we've already dealt with nudist issues. What I'm saying is: you don't owe me anything. Most CouchSurfers feel that they have an obligation to their hosts to share with them wonderful stories and all that mumbojumbo.
Q:But what if I'm BORING?!
A:Would you stop interupting me? This is exactly the point I'm trying to make. Maybe you're boring. Maybe you're just stopping here for one night on the way to Beijing and you have to get up in the morning to catch the next train/bus/hitchhike/spaceshuttle/interdimensional doorway, and the last thing you can be bothered with is telling some earthling all about the time Zoth overthrew your ancestors' Martian empire, nor do you want to hear is his trite little stories about when the local windmill was built. Maybe you just fail at making conversation with people who aren't roundbreasted young women or tall bronzed men, rippling with muscles.
Does this mean you should be denied a place to sleep?
Q:Well, Does it?
A:Absolutely not.
Q:But what if I do want to tell you my super awesome stories and am doing this because I'm wanting to make friends for life?
A:Then if you're staying long enough, and you don't come when I have a lot of work to do (ha, me, work?) then there's a good chance at that aswell. But the thing of it is, it's not mandatory.
Q:What if I didn't feel like reading all of that and I skipped straight to this?
A:If you suffered a good old case of tl;dr (too long;didn't read) here it is in a nutshell.
If you stay here, you don't owe me anything, and I don't owe you anything, any exchanges, cultural or otherwise are completely optional, from both sides.
Q:Do you know this isn't actually an FAQ unless these Q uestions were A sked F requently?
A:I asked myself them, and I determine what passes for "frequent" so there, now, go write up your CouchSurf requests, you smartass.

From Monica Parpalea Bucharest, Romania Nov 14 Positive I really liked Tommy, he's always thinking outside the box; he constantly entertains others singing and joking.
He's the master of words (he will be a famous writer / scenarist some day). He is diplomatic and has fine manners but occasionally he's tempted to climb trees.
I admire so much his dedication to the CouchSurfing project. A tip: if you give him few beers he turns into a Dance God ;). Thank you for the kayak trip and see you soon!
From Aleksandra Wroclaw, Poland Nov 10 Positive I'am really grateful you didn't force me to drink on Monday evening :)
Tommy seems to be a born traveller. Has a very individual approach, still respectful and kind. You are always welcome.Greets!
From Rosy Chacon Cologne, Germany Oct 18 Positive tommy. always in a good mood. helpful surfer. up for anything. will teach me to hitchhike and bike long distances.
it was awesome meeting u and I am looking fwd for rotterdam! must party together.
=)
From YLFI Leiden, Netherlands Oct 4 Positive Finally I found someone who can speak norwegian ! hiphip hura norge e bra :D
From Suzanne Petersen Arendal, Norway Sep 30 Positive I met him at a weekly meeting in Rotterdam and was extremely surprised to meet a Norwegian speaking cs member there(!) WOW!! Not even from Norway! That is impressive!!! We just spoke a little while, but for sure had some great conversations and if I ever go to the Netherlands again, I will stop by his city:) If up in Norway sometime, you have a guest house waiting for you:) Surely I could teach you some more accents in Norwegian(or danish too) and in my house you will also be hearing a lot of english and portuguese:P We are quite an international team living up here!
From Yiannis Diamantis Aachen, Germany Aug 31 Positive Well Tommy is an interesting Norway-loving guy from Netherlands. He is the only one that i saw holding a foreign flag with his toes :p. I'm sorry that we couldn't make it to the human-bowling-event to see you live but it was realy nice meeting you :-) Take care Tommy.
From Rasmus Fredslund Hansen Odense, Denmark Aug 31 Positive After hosting Tommy I know he is a kid with many talents. To mention a few:
1. He is one great norwegian (okay, not really, ut he could go for a norwegian if he wanted to).
2. He is talentet in watersliding on home made waterslides.
3. He is great fun to party with
4. He has a really crazy sense of humour (but really funny)
5. He is a great couchsurfer, good story teller and great company.
Thank you for staying at my place, it was a lot of fun hosting you Tommy. But don't expect a party of the same size next time you come to Denmark :D
From Niels Sørensen Odense, Denmark Aug 29 Positive There is a really good reason that Tommy has 14 vouches and more than 100 references all positive -
He is a great person and a fine guest.
Unfortunately I only got the chance to host him for one night, but he seems like one of those people who you wouldn't mind stayed for a longer period of time.
From Daniel Trostli Boston, United States Aug 12 Positive Tommy is the royal ambassador of couches in Leiden! He has reached international internet celebrity status, and you will finally be able to test your prowess of international impersonations against Tommy's crazy accents.
From Uliana Morova Saint Petersburg, Russia Aug 5 Positive Well, Tommy is really crazy, that’s true
And I think if you come to Holland you should stay at his place or just get to know him. May be they have to include Tommy into guide books!
He is so nice, kind, he always try to make you smile. He always finds what to tell you even if you are stupid Russian girl.
Pravda :)
From Julian Dario Gutierrez Tonsberg, Norway Aug 4 Positive Tommy is a wannabe-norwegian that host vegetarian vs. anti-vegetarian fights between couchsurfers. And ant-vegetariqns usually win because we have more energy. In fact we even clean up random dutch flats. And Tommy? Yea he's cool 'n stuff. But his computer-keyboard is disastrous, so you might want to bring your own. Hadet paa badet din ol' chocolate!
From Hilde Lien Tonsberg, Norway Aug 4 Positive woah he really makes you feel at home! tommy is a great guy. he also is madly in love with norway and it was fun to speak some norwegian with a dutch fella. thanks for being a super host:)
From Simay Petek Ankara, Turkey Aug 2 Positive Tommy is my first mate from couch-surfing world! He is very cool!
I did not couch-surfed at his place yet (hope to be the his 100. and the 1st Turkish couch-surfer :))
However, he gave me the most beautiful welcoming day in my very first time in Leiden. It was absolutely fantastic!!(thank youu once more:))
From Oleg Nikitin Saint Petersburg, Russia Aug 1 Positive Thank you very much for this host, Tommy!
It was really nice to meet you. You are a creazy person, but in a good sense, because u make crazy all people around you.
You helped us a lot in Holland and even was travelling with us for 2 days by hitch-hicking.
Thanks from Uliana also:)
Вот сучёнок!:)))
From Diego Ferioli Reykjavik, Iceland Aug 1 Positive Tommy is crazy! He showed me and my girlfriend an absolutely outstanding hospitality, sharing is tiny place with far more people than anyone else would have been able to fit in... when he's around, you always feel like cherishing being a CouchSurfer. I had a great time with him and the other travellers, hopefully I will be able to return his hospitality soon, in Iceland or elsewhere.
From Elspeth Nina Gillespie Saint Andrews, United Kingdom Aug 1 Positive This guy has couch surfing down to a fine art!
My friend Jules and I had a great time with Tommy and the three other CS-ers he was hosting at the time. He has seemingly boundless energy and even accompanied/guided/pitied us on the next leg of our bicycle tour (sorry we were so slow!).
From Laura Fenley Carrollton, United States Jul 29 Positive Well fiddle dee dee,
Tommy is an awesome person. This guy is even ok with greek 3-ways with olive oil. I definitely recommend Tommy as a host or a surfer.
Crazy Dutch man.
(He may kidnap you on a boat or something)
From Johnna Jackson Carrollton, United States Jul 28 Positive Tommy is a crazy person. A complete mad man. BUT...it's all part of his charm. I had a lot of fun surfing at his place. He took me and my friends out around Leiden and gave us great advice about the traveling we were doing in Amsterdam. Strong and fun-loving personality. Still crazy, though!
From Richard for real Lund, Sweden Jul 27 Positive Tommy! When he is sober he's like the crazyfunny drunk version of my friend Mikael, and when he's drunk.. oh my, I don't want to know. In other words, Tommy is the prefect American fake Norwegian Dutch fool. I wish I had a stash of those pills he must be on for days that feel particularly grey, that's how much I advise you to meet this well-mannered madman.
From Natália Nunes Nilopolis, Brazil Jul 12 Positive About Tommy? Well... I guess a lot in a small period of time: we met on a language exchange community and later in Paris, we hitchhiked together and he hosted me for a couple of nights during Midsummernight. And not forgetting the weird truck ride, the parties and the looong trips on the night trains...
Definitely not bad for my first hitchhiking and CS experience!
Tommy is a great, funny, crazy guy. Even sweet, sometimes. :P If you are partying with him, for sure it will be fun.
We've spent a great weekend together. But, caraca, I must warn something about him: he is a teaser, especially if you are a brazilian.
From MARTINFROMBERLIN Berlin, Germany Jul 10 Positive Well, well, well...what should I say about this great and epic guy. Tommy, the Szwaffel-König (i just made it to the rank of an adjuntant), the hand-free cyclist, the booze-with-a-straw-stealing-fetishist.In actual fact he is french with a fake moustache and an experienced guitar player. It is just really just plain old fucking fun to had him in my place - no joke is moronic or absurd enough to be not told, did hardly not laugh that much recently...think Asia, me and Tommy have been a great team...foam wigs for everybody!
From Lies De Bock Oudenaarde, Belgium Jun 26 Positive Tommy was a great host for my first CS experience! He's very friendly (and reserved - haha), he showed us around Leiden and he just loves CS (for him it's just a way of life). Late at night he watches very strange Japanese cartoons in his extremely fashionable pyjama's :)
From Gabriela Solomon Bucharest, Romania Jun 21 Positive Crazy, cute, "understands binaries kind of guy" with a lot of energy (if you see him more than 5 minutes in one place, something's wrong). We played games together, cleaned a kitchen together :) and enjoyed a super CS event in Utrecht. To many more...
From INGRE Stockholm, Sweden Jun 21 Positive Found him sitting on the grass, playing guitar @ BBC. Since that day, we explored Berlin, cooked & partied together the whole week! It felt like I had met an old friend of mine. He´s definitely a person, who will entertain you wherever you are, but also the one you can talk to.
From Maciej Kruczek Wroclaw, Poland Jun 20 Positive Tommy, you came out of "nowere", chose kitchen instead of regular bed and rescued me from being overtalked in Heaven, something about 5 a.m. Thanks for sharing your minds and convinced me even more to cs idea! See ya in another life, dude!
From Marcin Disterhoft Wroclaw, Poland Jun 19 Positive Tommy spent two nights at my place! I think, that we made good team together durnig the party:) He is really sociable, so from the very beginning we got on well! I won't forget the way he bought the flowers at Wroclaw market square and the florist won't forget it, too;) If u wanna learn how to taste cherry vodka shoots and use british accent you got to the right address;) I have strange feeling that we'll meet in the future! All the best men!
From Christian Dahl Bergen, Norway Jun 18 Positive Tommy , the hiking Dutchman! I hosted Tommy for a few days and he really surprised me to go up and hike up almost all the mountains the nearby mountains during his short stay in Bergen. Tommy is a great guy who had his work cut out for him when he left :)
From B!ONCE Hamburg, Germany Jun 7 Positive Great Berlin Beach Camp Buddy! Dutchpass but Norwegian at Heart what a man!!!
From VATO_LOCO Arnhem, Netherlands Jun 7 Positive I've met Tommy serveral times, and none was too many! After ignauration of the swafel koning what will be next? No mountain too high or bridge too far ! Buks!
From A SOJA TEA Bonn, Germany Jun 2 Positive Greetins to my "Swaffele" King !!! Tommy is such a great Entertainer, damn crazy and a great guy to have a party with. if you will met that guy one time forget words like boring or sad, its not existing around him.I had a lot of fun with ma king get drunken and sang "kölsche" songs together :o) and im happy that this duth guy dont try to "swaffele" the Brandenburger Tor in berlin. jah bless ya
"Ich bin der Swaffel König und ich genies die zeit. Ich bin der Swaffel König, seid ihr für mich bereit"
From Ryan Johns New York, United States May 26 Positive Tommy was a good host, with a lot of couchsurfing experience. He has the techniques down, is flexible, nice, and gave me some very helpful advice about his town, and couchsurfing in general(I'm an elementary couchsurfer). Thanks Tommy!
From Hans-Morten Søvik Sandefjord, Norway May 5 Positive Tommy is really good with languages. My mother in law could actually speek with him in norwegian!!
Tommy is polite and very energetic. Host Tommy!
From Jaron Tripp Kleve, Germany Apr 29 Positive Tommy is amazing. High energetic and up
for joke after joke. It was a funny time having him around and he totally inspired me to get back on my bike, also for longer distances, what made me hesitate in the past. Well, thanks for Visiting.
(and we'll do that pixel thing !!!)
From Brendan Carroll and Carolyn Hunt Leiden, Netherlands Apr 22 Positive Tommy is very outgoing and enthusiastic. He's a dedicated CS-er, and loves to meet new people - he welcomed us to his home country and to the Leiden community. It was fun to bump into him at CS events around Europe too!
From Debz B Edinburgh, United Kingdom Apr 21 Positive Oh Tommy, what a character! This boy has a talent for picking up accents and languages that is enviable. He is fantastic fun and brings life, fun and smiles to all meetings. Don't take him too seriously and play along with his games and you'll be guaranteed to have fun. Tommy is lively and has a lot of energy and I can only assume he'd be a hilarious host who could entertain you with all of his stories (even if they aren't true).
get out of europe dude!!!
See the world.
Find yourself a ginger.
Find a good place for the bomb.
Don't leave chocolate in the sun.
Be careful on your bike.
I still have sand in my crack from spending time with him.
From Nora Emrani Charenton-le-Pont, France Apr 14 Positive Well Tommy is kind of cool except may be about the picture girl stuff...euh i do not agree... :p Do you think so? really? Well what to say, he was a good host...really welcoming...so yep good! I recommend him but do not take to much pics of Leiden :p
From Elisha Jacobsen Brussels, Belgium Apr 8 Positive Tommy is an awesome interesting guy who knows how to make you feel at home!! soon he will be the worlds most famous guitar player but until then, it's just funto to hang out with him in leiden. i had a great time!!

From Liang Ji Rotterdam, Netherlands Apr 5 Positive Tommy is sooooooo crazy but also very very sweet! He showed us Leiden, took us to a very nice WOK place, a really cool bar and hosted us at his place. We just have to laugh around him. He is always happy and energetic, the good attitude spreads all over the group. I also loved how he could do all the accents, really an awesome guy.

From Emilia Varmavuori Jyvaskyla, Finland Mar 25 Positive Yes, he's funny in a shameless way, and I really like it, but there's more in him. He's very smart, speaks perfect English and understands quite a lot about life. :)
From Artur Drobniak Warsaw, Poland Mar 17 Positive Tommy is graet guy. He laughts all the time, he has that rare skill that he can make fun from everything and everywhere. From Daniel Reiter Nongsa, Indonesia Feb 6 Positive Tommy was on his way to Luxembourg when he asked me for a couch. It all worked fine and I was happy to host him.
From Francine Aarts Utrecht, Netherlands Jan 31 Positive First time I met Tommy he was not Tommy but Lord James T. Burke. Second time I met him he was hanggroepjongere, and the third time he was Schwip-Schwap. So I never met the real Tommy yet, but I can still say that he has a lot of energy, and is really funny. Even more funny in German.
Enjoy your trip to Schwipschwappenburg!
From TIMZ Utrecht, Netherlands Jan 31 Positive Tommy is like a whirlwind, with a huge amount of energy and ideas. He follows his heart, and doesn't care to turn the world by himself if that should be necessary. An intriguing person to meet!
From Petra Hartlová Amsterdam, Netherlands Jan 20 Positive Tommy is a fun person with a good sense of humour!
From LINEL Antwerp, Belgium Jan 18 Positive Oh man,my english is too poor to find right words voor Tommy.Who else can make 250km by bike on the ice!! And he was making me laughing all the time,3 days non stop.He speaks all north languages and he is a great artist! Meet him!
From Edwin Calkhoven Roosendaal, Netherlands Jan 10 Positive On his absolutely crazy bicycle trip from Leiden to Antwerp at temperatures of 10 degrees below zero, Tommy asked me for a couch. He arrived with almost frozen feet. How can I describe Tommy? Tommy is a very talkative, humorous and friendly person with a lot of couchsurf experience. He told me a lot about his couchsurf adventures.
I showed him Roosendaal by night and we visited my favorite pub “de Heksenketel” and enjoyed the live music.
Tommy continued his bicycle trip the next morning when the temperature in Roosendaal was 14 degrees below zero.
Thank you Tommy for the good time.
From Stephen Bux Ludwigshafen, Germany Jan 3 Positive Tommy gave me a last minute place to stay while I was going to be in the Netherlands. Really a nice guy with skills in making tosties(?) and tea, but only if you like earl grey, haha. It was really cold outside, so we just talked for a while, and then played fold-it. If you are a molecular biologist, this game is still really tough. I would recommend this person to anyone, and dont be afraid to bring something from your home country.
From FOUNGLI London, United Kingdom Jan 1 Positive Tommy is an unique person, with a whole pile of masks (or characters) that he likes to hides behind. He is quite an acquired taste - being loud, vocal, funny, obnoxious (he knows this! so I'm not offending him!) entertaining, extremely expressive and once you get past the layers, he will grow on you! Just give it plenty of time and patience!!!
From BIBIRELLA Rotterdam, Netherlands Dec 15, 2008 Positive Tommy is just awesome - besides being absolutely funny and crazy he has a great knowledge on programming languages for Orang-Utans and special High-Five technologies. Even The Who named their Rock Opera after him... there's nothig to add I guess...
From DRAAKJE2000 Dordrecht, Netherlands Dec 10, 2008 Positive amazingly funny and annoying guy ;)
we had a nice talk about norway..he's enthousiastic and loud (in a good way!)
From LIN. The Hague, Netherlands Nov 30, 2008 Positive Tommy oh Tommy! We've met at the weekly meetings in Rotterdam a few weeks ago!
Tommy is one of those guys who is only quiet when he sleeps or when you are sleeping! Tommy is super to hang out with always in for some great fun, a talk and a laugh!
From Laura de Ruiter Amersfoort, Netherlands Nov 2, 2008 Positive Tommy is a great enthousiastic couchsurfer. It's always fun to meet him, although his humor can be a bit strange. And it's probably not save to leave him alone with a coca-cola machine(or any other computer). I recommend meeting him, visiting Leiden and attending a Leiden meeting.
From Eveline van Velthuijsen Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 26, 2008 Positive I dont think it is humanly possible to be bored when Tommy is around. He is always a positive addition to any meeting. He is good fun! And i think he actually talks more than me, which is quite impressive!
From KIWIA Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 26, 2008 Positive Tommy is great! I don't know how he does it, but he somehow manages to set up the Leiden CS community and at the same time assure that all the events in Utrecht turn into hugely entertaining parties :)
From Jerome Daniel Tainan City, Taiwan Oct 25, 2008 Positive Awesome, amazing, friendly, funny, easy going, funky... I could go on for an hour and it still would not be enough to describe how great Tommy is.
So the best way to find out is to actually meet him!
From Ivan Carpio San Ramon, United States Oct 19, 2008 Positive Tommy and I like to dance on tables at Odessa on Monday nights with other couchsurfers
From Julien Didier Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium Oct 15, 2008 Positive tom! sorry for answering so late but better late than never.
so i still play the païanoo..^^
that was very funny for me and christiane to meet you in Leiden, very nice city by the way. ehm many other things to see but I'll remind you that you eat so many disgusting things! dutch people tsss..^^
so hope we'll keep in touch and good luck with that norwegian girl!
kiss from christiane
From Stephanie Weber Tamarac, United States Oct 14, 2008 Positive Had a great time with Tommy in Paris. Our day at the Palace was very cool, not to mention the great dinner we had at Antoine's. Definitely meet Tommy, he's a great guy.
From Patricia MARS Bordeaux-en-Gatinais, France Oct 10, 2008 Positive From the point of view of the barbarian girl I am. Surfing at tommy's was a really nice experience. I learnt a lot of "nice" jokes about babies !! and had a great time!
I am "sinking" I may come back what's more because Leiden is also worth veisiting!!
From Pablo Esteban Leiden, Netherlands Oct 6, 2008 Positive Very communicative and extrovert lad.
Great contribution in group dynamics.
From Victor Sauntry Fredericton, Canada Oct 3, 2008 Positive What to say about Tommy... An interesting guy, and one you won't soon forget meeting. I definitely recommend meeting him. He lives the CS spirit.
From Sanne Bongers Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 30, 2008 Positive Tommy says I always seem to be happy, but I think he always seems to be happy to :)
He suddenly appeared in the couchsurfing scene this summer, attending a LOT of meetings. He's definitely a very active couchsurfer. Fun to be around, good to have a laugh with. Oh, and of course, great to get married to ;)

From Liza van Kuijk Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 22, 2008 Positive With Tommy there is no dull moment or dull conversation. He can do any accent you like (exept perhaps posh british). Seriously addicted to couch surfing ;-).
From BARON_HNZ Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 20, 2008 Positive I surfed Tommys couch for six days and it was a shitload of fun! Although he keeps on yelling random german things to me, he is a pleasant host. And his idea of the couchsurferwall is cool!
One of his biggest goals is: "Ich möchte eine Welt in der ich aus der Toilette trinken kann ohne Ausschlag zu kriegen". So he also cares for the environment. :D
See you at some CS-meeting!
From Gijs Overvliet Helmond, Netherlands Sep 17, 2008 Positive At first I though he was just plain annoying. Shouting and making fun of everything. But he doesn't take himself too seriously, and once you're used to his style, you can have a lot of fun with him. This guy made me laugh so hard I got tears in my eyes!
Tommy, you're cool. And we'll meet again, I'm sure of it!
From Hannah Martin Melbourne, Australia Sep 8, 2008 Positive Three great days - pity it wasn't longer really - Tommy was a great host, even finding things to occupy me instead of sending me out into the cold rain. Hopefully we'll meet again in another life. Or this one...
From Rose May Amsterdam, Netherlands Sep 7, 2008 Positive Tommy is a unique collectors item especially at meetings. He talks and goofs with everybody this makes the meetings way more fun! Its a shame there's is only only three in a bikini I have met so far ;) Enjoy your time with Tommy I know you want it!
From Matthew Francisco Bloomington, United States Sep 3, 2008 Positive Tommy is a great guy to know in Utrecht. I tagged along with him and friends at a music festival while I was there and got introduced to lots of great music. I still wonder, though, where he got his Iowa accent.
From Tony Chuang Taichung City, Taiwan Sep 1, 2008 Positive Tommy is a very great, talktive and crazy person.

From Lysanne van Zessen Rotterdam, Netherlands Aug 13, 2008 Positive Tommy is a hilarish guy!
I don't think I have ever met anyone who made me laugh soooo hard. He does funny immitations and voices.
He is really a good guy!He even painted a bike for me once!how sweet is that!
From Lawrence Brown Sydney, Australia Aug 11, 2008 Positive Tommy - the man is legend. His tolerance for hijinks - enormous. It's probably kind to say that as guests we were 'interesting' but Tommy was a stirling host, touristing with us, hooking us up with sometimes dubious advice, I guess making up for our inadequecies in general in the surfing department. And he eats Dutch poison and has Dutch stairs! He's pretty much
Dutch! What more could you ask for?
From JELLY-FISH Hannover, Germany Aug 10, 2008 Positive he is a passionate host - takeing refugees in till his little room bursts! if he tells you he aint got space for you - its true, because then the whole floore will be covered with couchsurfers already ;)
thx for having me!

From Manou Zeller Lenzburg, Switzerland Jul 27, 2008 Positive Tommy's cool. He answerd our short notice request, even though he was hosting a couple of people already and didn't have enough space for the three of us, and asked his friend tho host us instead.
Also, he looked after us for the few hours we had to wait for his friend, which was real friendly.
sorry we couldn't say goodbye! and thanks a lot
From Leonie de Vries Amersfoort, Netherlands Jul 27, 2008 Positive Tommy is one crazy person! I had a great laugh when talking about beunotarians and practising 'Dutch streetlanguage' with him. He has lots of energy and loves the sweet 'lady' drinks... I'd say surf his couch!
From Richard Bekking Delft, Netherlands Jul 26, 2008 Positive I met Tommy on a tuesday meeting in Rotterdam. He has a distinct sense of humor: don't turn into disgusting street 'cause he takes you further than you want to go... Tommy is very social and lots of fun, never a dull moment with this guy. See ya next Tuesday!
From Mali Brown Albany, Australia Jul 24, 2008 Positive Tommmmmmmmmy! What to say... The man is a legend, he picked us up from the train station at 2am on a rainy morning after we woke him up with our misjudged trip from Munich, he showed us around welcomed us with his easy going and friendly manner and laughed at us when we were far too stoned! I really enjoyed staying with him but watch out for the Dutch stairs! lovely person, wish you all the best mate and if you ever want your welcome where ever I am, Me and my baby crabs! :)
From Jon Tam Leiden, Netherlands Jul 12, 2008 Positive It was great to meet Tommy. Great to have a chat, and laugh with over beers. His delivery of the Wearwolf game is so enthusiastic, it is hard not to have a good time. Do not make the mistake and say he is from Scheidam. Defnitely worth meeting up with. We should grab a beer soon.
From Klara Blom Leiden, Netherlands Jul 12, 2008 Positive Tommy seems to me like a person who's very active in organizing/attending things on CS. A guy who's very obviously present, and who is there for you when you need him. Hi5!
From Frank van Steenwijk Dublin, Ireland (Republic of) Jul 11, 2008 Positive Wow, this guy made quite an impression straight away. I had been away (travelling) for about a month and when I came back Tommy was one of the people that recently started to visit the weekly meetings. He came in later than I did, but entered the bar with a lot of enthousiasm and I was like.... WHO IS THAT? Well it became clear pretty quickly and now he's got this reference. See you around man ;)

From Bruno Landgoed Antwerp, Belgium Jul 4, 2008 Positive We encountered each other at the midsummernight event at Utrecht. We had some short but interesting chats. I was amazed by the way he can imitate all the English dialects. I first thought he was Canadian, then Irish, Australian, Scottish... but it turned out he was a plain Dutchman :-). Hope to meet him again soon (why not in Antwerp ?).
From Gerard Bosman Bergschenhoek, Netherlands Jul 3, 2008 Positive Tommy is one of the most enthusiastic couchsurfers I know. Always with lots of stories, most times about Norway, the country he loves. I hope he will find his way to that beautiful land.
From Anneloes van Aken Rotterdam, Netherlands Jun 30, 2008 Positive He told a really weird story about a old lady putting her tong in his ear, but besides of that it is a interesting guy, fun and nice to meet!
From Jasper Carton Breda, Netherlands Jun 24, 2008 Positive Nice guy, we meet frequently at one of Roffas many bars, drinking a wide variety of beers, only thing that is constant is his urge to make an extreme amount of extremely bad word jokes... Keep up the good work! ;)
From Lorraine Sanchez Rotterdam, Netherlands Jun 24, 2008 Positive Tommy.. a really fun guy! It's impossible to have a dull moment around this guy. He will make you laugh non- stop, has great stories, and makes you feel like you have been friends with him forever. Not to be missed if you happen by Leiden.
From Adela Dumbravan Bistrita, Romania Jun 24, 2008 Positive After hunting treasures on the streets of Utrecht, after chilling on a couch in the park listening to his American, British, Norvegian and Russian accent :), after spending hours talking about his life conceptions and after dragging him in a sports bar to see his second football match ever, after all this, I can say Tommy is a great company and a person who knows how to make his way in any situation, with any type of persons. Meet him, gain his "humour trust" and the rest will come...
From Jai Larkman Launceston, Australia Jun 24, 2008 Positive Hmmm, there seems to be a trend emerging here. Laughs, jokes (good/bad), enthusiasm, talkative, fun. All very true! Never a dull moment! This guy is very easy going, not shy, but also respectful and decent. We had an enjoyable wander round Maastricht while poor Mia studied and prepared to move house. Good times!
From MISHIMI Rotterdam, Netherlands Jun 23, 2008 Positive Beware! Slightly defected robot is running amok on the grounds of the insane asylum! I would not trust him with ducttape but other than that a very nice guy.
From Astrid Kuiper Utrecht, Netherlands Jun 22, 2008 Positive Tommy is very talkative and enthousiastic person.
I hosted him, but we did not have a great start, because I was tired of my very busy week. Maybe we can do it again sometime when I have more energy ;-)
From TRA Krimpen aan den IJssel, Netherlands Jun 22, 2008 Positive With Tommy you can always have a laugh. Crazy person with lots of energy.
From Elisabeth Steen Rotterdam, Netherlands Jun 16, 2008 Positive Always in for a laugh. Like that. Laughing is good. Quite weird guy, also good. See you soon Tommy!
From Remco Matthias Kwint Dordrecht, Netherlands Jun 4, 2008 Positive Tommehh!

From Untung Haryono Dordrecht, Netherlands May 24, 2008 Positive He is very funny guy to hang out with. And I'm always welcome at his place, everytime. He's a very good host.
From Nicolas Sahlqvist Rotterdam, Netherlands May 20, 2008 Positive Tommy is kinda crazy in a funny way and can talk Norwegian and Swedish well although he is Dutch! His humor is 1 km under the table and hilarious! :)

From Niels de Muelenaere Leiden, Netherlands Mar 28, 2008 Positive He's like a Great Danish dog... lot's of bark, no bite, clears the table wih his tail and worst case scenario: he'll lick you to death.

From Jaap Mol Dordrecht, Netherlands Mar 26, 2008 Positive Wow! It's really good to see this guy here at CS 'cause i think he's got the real CS spirit! :) I met him at highschool, he is really energetic, enthousiast and open minded. Meet him!
From Gelya Bogatishcheva Genova, Italy Mar 23, 2008 Positive Although he doesn't drink, he is quite funny. He says he doesn't drink because he has to take care of his brain, but in reality this is because he is a Russian spy. He pretends to be Dutch and tries to confuse the enemy with his Norwegian smile, but I know his real name is Boris. |
