We recently moved to a new flat, so the period without hosting couchsurfers is definitely gone.
I live together with my wife Simone in a house that was built some years ago in 1870. Don't worry, you won't sleep on a stone floor and we also have warm water ;-) Our place is located in a central part of Stuttgart, it cost you max. 10 minutes to get to the main station by metro. You could even walk to the inner city within 15 minutes.
If you stay here (max. 3-4 nights) you'd sleep in a separate room with a couch (-bed) that offers space for two.

hosted many couchsurfers with my former flatmate nico. joined ulfs carneval meetings with great carnival groups in cologne 2006 - 2008. organized the fruehlingsfest-meetings in stuttgart. had fun while hosting aussie and english supporters during the FIFA world cup. surfed couches in Porto, Lisbon while travelling Portugal. stayed 2 nights at frederique's place in paris. was part of a Halloween party near rome. got to know many local couchsurfers of Stuttgart as well.

i'm interested in almost any kind of music. most of all i like calm and smooth sounds, it doesn't matter if it's electronic or classic music.
my books are meant for entertaining me. while reading i want to be kept in another world. favorites are: ken follet, stephen king, lotr, medicus, papillon ...

Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
Couchsurfing became a very important part of my life. At first it was a perfect way to travel, get to no different people, cultures, etc. Then the CS-database has crashed in July 2006. I remember these days when Casey Fenton declared the whole project as dead. Suddenly i felt how addicted i already have been to CS. It's hard to imagine a life without all that people i got to know during festivals, meetings and surfings. I really try to stay in contact with most of my guests and hosts.

Matth is a nice, helpful boy. We met us in Cologne during the Carnelval CS meeting at the Arche. We spent 3 / 4 days in this big group of surfers and, I am so sorry for Mamoe, I think we are two “animals” quite similar, so we matched really well! : )

Matthias is a great guy.
We surfed the Arche in Cologne for Carnival 2010 together for 5 days.
While celebrating we had a lot of fun and besides as well some good talks.
I experienced him as a trustable person.

I met Matthias and Simone for “coffee or a drink” in Stuttgart. Both are very nice and trustworthy. They have shown me some sights of Stuttgart. Many thanks for the great evening. Hope to meet you again.

Unfortunately we spent on two nights with Matthais and Simone. They were the perfect hosts and introduction couch surfers!!! They took us to an absolutely spectaculor beer garden over looking Stuttgart, where we had loads of laughs. Three eggs and Horse houses will be in our memories of Germany forever. This guy is a good exemple in "how to be a representant, ambassor and moderator and also user of CS, because he's principles and ideas about friendship, relationship and simpathy meets the principles and mission of CS comunity . Thanks a lot for the good time together during carnival.
He's that kind of guy who helps a woman if she gets lost :-D. It just took me about an hour to find the bar where the CS meeting took place - without him I would have needed 2 :-D. Too bad the both of you can't join next meeting...anyway, have a nive weekend!! :)
