Sanne Bongers

 

With Sanne I made my first couchsurfing experience. She is, to my mind at least, a very warm and giving person. Being cheerful and smart, she is a person you immediately want to become friends with. Sanne is dedicated to CouchSurfing very much. She introduced me to her friends, made me feel really welcome and offered to be of help whenever she could. Having met her I began to attend Dutch lessons for Couchsurfers. I am also more inclined towards hosting myself. Sanne changed my life and the way I approach The Netherlands as a person who just began his studies at the University of Utrecht. Sanne gives this website and its community a true meaning.

 

Sanne is an angel with sparkling eyes.
When you meet her, you'll notice there is a big smile not only on her face, but also on yours. She just seems to like life and people so much. There is no way you can't be charmed! :)

 

Sanne IS couchsurfing. The friendly attitude, adventurous spirit, and ability to constantly meet and connect with new people make her some sort of super-couchsurfer. I think she might be constructed from the best parts of 5 or 6 other couchsurfers. All of this makes her a great host or surfer. She will definitely greet you with a big smile that will immediately have you grinning as well.

She also occasionally goes by the name Liza.

 

She s very naive. You can just tell her to give you something and she will do it first and think after.

Sanne was so kind to take me in on short notice, after a couchsurfing meeting in utrecht. She is full of life and energy, and has great taste in 90s alternative music! She showed me some nice parts of Utrecht, and the proper way to eat Dutch caramel waffels... so glad we had a chance to meet! Hope the hitchhiking went well!

It was nice having her over. She's funny, talkative and she can even give history lessons (about her country ;))

 

Sanne is a very nice girl but guys we have to be careful because after the full emancipation she want to introduce the woman's domination :-SS

I knew she was traveling in romania I sent her mails but when I was in a city she was already left. To forgot I went dancing in vama veche. I came to an other bar to hear if the music and the beer were better. And she was here making fun of me.

Sanne was a great host, although I only spent a short time with her, I enjoyed it a lot.

She hosted me at short notice, let me borrow her bike, came dancing and drinking, sorted out my backpack and is now hosting some of my non essential items!!

Sanne is a very friendly, funny and warm person. I'm glad I got the chance to meet her.

Oh, and thanks for the extremely late night, don't know about you, but I was a little bit tender the next day!!

Sanne and I found each other on the CS Hitchhikers group and arranged to travel together for eleven days through France, Monaco and Italy. Somehow, it worked out :).

A few reasons why travelling with Sanne is something you must do:
- her knowledge about camping saved our asses (I haven't got a clue)
- she is one of the most wonderful travel partners I've ever had
- life is never dull when you're around her and she will never give you time to be bored or unhappy
- she is AMAZINGLY patient and tolerant when she needs to be, of course it'd be unfair to test this...
- I really valued her company, I had to travel alone for a few days after and at times I really missed having her around
- she is full of interesting ideas, thoughts, discussion topics, and you'll feel you'll learn a lot from her
- she is an inventive Experimental Tourist

Since then we've met in Utrecht, and I hosted her in Brno. I hope, and expect, that we will stay in touch for a long time yet :)

She is so amazing, very open person, really wonderful to spend time together with, gives good advice about travelling and can do a very good massage...she is really one of those people you fall in love right away, hope to meet again somewhere in the world, really:)

It was great to spend time with Sanne in Rumania! Sanne is very easy going,. funny and sweet! She helped me out whit some good hitchhike/bag-pack tips aswell!

I hosted Sanne and her friend Casper for a night,about they come down from retezat mountains.I know she for the another life I thing.Yes, Sanne is the best hitchiking surfer in the world!

We met in Mihai's cabin in the Retezat mountains and spend nice times together.
She's a very good cook and conversational partner . And good in cleaning as well . Hehe :)
Very open and lively, and great to spend time with. Just make sure you're nice to her when she gets hungry :p

 

If I ever run short of suitable travel companions, I would be delighted to team up with Sanne. Actually, with her positive spirit and energy she's is very close to a first choice of company in any situation. Taking care of the cooking business during a huge CS event did not bring her sunny mood down and she even had time to share some good travel stories with me. You just have to know that Sanne goes into almost complete hibernation mode when her batteries are critically low. But some rest and then some tea will send her flying again before you can say superduperfunnylicious.

Sanne is adorable.

Sanne and Linda visited me in the hot month of July when they came from Exit festival in Novi Sad. They're two cool chicks, laid back (typically dutch I understand) and who can connect to most open people, even computer geeks like me.

CS connections are really great. You know somebody and this person just passes on your mobile number to another person and in the end you end up hosting this person.
Sanne was sent to me by gypsyhymn and tmoon (if I remember right) and I am very thankful for that. We first met at a CS picknick where she told me about a little amazing stage and right there later we randomly ran into each other. Sanne is cheerfull girl, full of positive vibrations which she is able to share to 100%. Happy I met her.

Hosting Sanne was a really pleasure! Natural and easy-going person, who get along well with everyone - she found a veteran AC/DC fan in bus and talked with about rock culture ;-). For sure she can cross all barrier and find common subject with the others. we two started whisteling together and it was sooo great with her. Once in a while you meet someone that is sunshine and has a lot of positive energy. Sanne is that kind of person for me. I look forward to meet her again. And I guess it is not necessary to mention that she is most welcome at my place at any time.

Sanne was introduced by mutual friend Liza, and she turned out to be equally easy going and nice and great fun and all that :) She was a very uncomplicated surfer, just needed some breakfast and a few additional bits at the Vienna Calling brunch event to be happy ;) Pity the program was so dense we had not much time to do much of a cooking, partying, cardplaying, etc. stuff at my place!

We spent a nice evening with the brave hitchhiking Sanne and a friend of her, and hope the Gorges du Verdon was a good event; by the way thanks for the magnet!

Sanne and I met in Vienna calling 09. we met again in Utrecht and hitched to Roskilde festival where we both volunteered for 10 days, I then took my life path and Sanne took the adventurous road to Serbia. Sanne is a nice girl that can be thoughtful kind hearted, determined andadventurous. I wish you well on your journey. Follow your heart have faith that it always works out in life. Stay Happy :)

Put 4 girls in a car, and see what happens... we tried it and tons of cool things happen!!
Sanne is happy, smiling and talkative. But also a good listner and a great understander. Fun is definetly guaranteed if she's around....
She will make you at ease as soon as she arrives and I think it's almost impossible for her to loose her good mood and positive spirit.

I'm also pretty sure that we will meet again, at least I hope we do!!!

After first having met for no more than one hour, we travelled (HH'ed, camped, CS'ed) together for two weeks. This worked very well and turned out to be one of the best vacations I have ever had. I often feel bored with people after some time, but with Sanne this has definitely not been the case. She has a lot to tell and is easy to talk with. Well, with some people she appears to be fighting for her turn to speak. Sanne is indeed a very positive person. She has the enthousiasm en endurance required for hitchhiking, although I did feel I had a bit more patience every now and then. I believe she usually just says whatever she thinks. She can be a bit cynical but you will know what she really means.

Her appearance could be called sophisticated, mixed in with something girlish. Perfect for HH'ing. She gets grumpy when she is hungry - just give her something to eat with vegetables and everything will be fine. Sanne is friendly, cool, smart and adventurous.

She hosted me and my girlfriend for 2 dayes. She hosted us i last time. Thank you for that :)
We did not hang that much out, but we had some good talks in the evning, and we made dinner together one evning.

Sanne is a real caring sharing friendly girl, a great guest and a great ambassador to CS. I would love my kids to get as much from CS and give as much to CS as Sanne does. Great inspiration.

Staying with Sanne felt like a home! She lend us her bike - thanks so much!! - and we participated in a very fun dutch lesson shes organising herself. She's interested in a lot of things, and very very passionate for languages. Sanne says what she thinks, so you can have good discussions with her. And I really LOVE her cute and calineux cat. :-)

Sanne is a very easy going and natural person, she made us enjoy our stay in Utrecht a lot.
She gave me a guide on the Campus in the evening, and it was great to bike in Utrecht. we joined for one dutch lession at her place. Sanne is a swell cook and we had interesting conversations about all kinds of stuff.

I can suppose, after having met and surfed Sanne, that it is for people like her that the CS project remains so active and transcends the mere notion of traveling, towards that of a community. So my stay in Utrecht accounts for a good reference not only for this CSer, but the whole city CS community, of which I got to know some part during a guided day visit and a dutch lesson night.
About Sanne herself, I can say that despite us being so evidently different, I was surprised to see myself sharing some good moments with her. Beware: her hiper-activity and talkativeness shall leave no space for being shy or uncomfortable. She will, however, adapt to her guest's interests.
And she has very good advice for the hitchhikers, too :)

 

Sanne Sanne Sanne... always full of stories to share, vibrant with energy, she's so 'Sanne' which is a beautiful thing, unique because she lives exactly in her own way, positive even when life is not so kind sometimes. She's my study buddy but more than that - we've had many a deep and fun conversation and that's what Sanne is about - interaction, connection, and seizing the day.

Sanne puts a lot of her energy and time in organizing meetings and events for the CS community. You can see her positive spirit from a kilometer away. :)

Sannes energy for the Dutch lessons in inspiring. She is always so motivated and a great hostess - it is great fun going around to her place for parties/pancakes or even shifting :)

Sanne is an awesome Dutch teacher and has made our time here in Utrecht so great :) She is a very fun, motivated, and generous person.

Sanne is a really friendly outgoing person - i warmed to her the first time i met her & now she is teaching me dutch. Im very impressed at how much time she is volunteering for the courses.

She was wonderful enough to host me, knowing full well that I wouldn't come home before 4am. It was even more wonderful, that she didn't kick me out when she got sick.

Sanne is a wonderful cook and next to that a really good host 2! And a very sweet girl! Her houseparty was great and even the garlic snacks was very good eatable! :D I hate garlic but in the most things I didn't taste it at all! Maybe a little bit more meat for dinner ;)

 

Irma, Linda, Sanne and Wies had been nice guests. Although I had been a bit busy at the days before my holiday, we shared at least some typical dutch activities: biking with dutch bikes through the city ;-)

Sanne was a wonderful host. She's the busiest girl I've ever met, full of energy, and extremely positive minded. It's always nice to be around her because you get to be positive and energized too. LOL. Anyway I really enjoyed the time I surfed her couch. And her cat is just lovely. ;) Thanks a lot for having me in your place, Sanne. See you in the coming Dutch lessons.

 

When I first met Sanne I had a good feeling about her. After many Dutch lesson meetings in Utrecht and other meetings, she hasn't proven my first thought to be wrong. And I have come to respect her. She is a very well educated and smart person. But she is not flaunting her knowledge, which makes her a good teacher and a cool, layed back person from my point of view. Some already have said she always smiles. And from my observation this is almost true, as I have seen her not smile for just a couple of seconds on one or two occasions. I'm sure we will keep meeting eachother.

First she was the scientist I had to get the nuclear plans from. Now she is the dutch teacher, who advises me through my journy to become a good dutch speaker. :D

Ever saw someone smiling the whole time? If not, meet Sanne! If she's around, she just makes you feel good. But she can also be a strict teacher and cook. Which is a thing she seem to like a lot! And she really cooks good.

I know Sanne for quite some time now, and i find her a very nice person to be around. Always smiling and willing to help out when cs Utrecht is in dire need of a good cook. Great girl!

If you like talkative, enthusiastic, friendly people than Sanne is not for you! Kidding.... I met Sanne at a beer fest in Utrecht, and chatted to her quite a bit throughout the night. In my humble opinion, we seemed to hit it off quite well. She was easy to talk to and just as easy to get a smile out of. Never a bad combination!

By the end of the night, she even entrusted me to ride her home on the back of her bike while i drove it... Apparently a Utrech'ian tradition.

 

Sanne can be the personification of 'Extremely positive', in the sense that she smiles a lot and then suddenly everyone else smiles too! So thats great i guess.

After the cycling we went to Sanne´s place, because we got the idea to eat something. She made a nice paprikasoup and we ate some pancakes. I missed the bowling with people in Lisse but the food and nice evening was worth it.

 

I met Sanne at the Bokbierfestival in Utrecht. She is a great girl with a lot of energy and a cool attitude. She probably rides her bike more than some people drive their cars! Hope to see you again next time I'm in Utrecht.

Our first meeting was during a festival and BBQ, we had good discussion and she was very convincing;) After that we met more often during couchsurf meetings mainly.

 

Sanne is a very sweet and extremely hospitable person. She always makes time to meet up and it's great to hang out with her as she's so positive and energetic. If you ever happen to be in Utrecht I'm sure you'll have a great experience couchsurfing with her!

I'm not crazy, she's crazy! But in a very good way.

I've met Sanne at a few Utrecht events over the course of a few months. Her most obvious chracteristic is that she always seems happy. Also at the roleplaying event our characters married to take advantage of my inheritance.

Sanne stayed at our place, together with her friend Irma. We had a very nice time with them, played with the cat, had good food, had a great rockclimbing session ;-) and would always welcome them back.

 

Sanne was a great host and made us feel really welcome in Utrecht! She showed us around the city in the evening and then she cooked for us a delicious dinner to which she even invited a friend of mine who joined us for the day.

Sanne is fun to hang and play games with. and great if you need help moving some things on a bike ;)

You like to talk, walk and cook awesome meals? Thus Sanne is just the perfect person to be with for couchsurfing. She's kind, energetic and smiles a lot. I really enjoyed to spend some times with her talking about all and nothing, listening to music... Meet you next time in Strasbourg during your PhD? There are small mountains there and we can get really lost during the walk!

 

Sanne is a person that always seems to smile and a very active free hugger when walking around with the sign.
Her activity and passion at the midsummer meeting made me really experience her as a enjoyable person.

Sanne and I already saw each other at Queens night, but we haven't spoke with each other then. She (with a lot of others) makes the dinner for the midsummer night meeting. And she likes (red) wine!

Sanne is a nice girl and, it already has been said several times, a good chef - especially her mayo-yoghurt dips are irresistible! It's nice to meet her every time.

Has a funny brittish accent when she speaks american ;-) The vega-cooking for the midsummer meeting utrecht 2008 was great!

 

Sanne is the Utrecht cook, and a good one at that as well. She has been a great and fun help in several adhoc dinners we organised. Always up for a board game after :) I think she is a greta person to hang out with, very laid back and lots of fun.

I went to do indoor climbing with her friends, it was very nice.
We went in the market, and we hang up together.

 

Sanne is a great person.. It was my first couch surfing experience and I was so happy with it. Sanne was very friendly, she cooked me dinner (awesome pancakes and soup) showed me the city. She even gave her bike.. She is very intellectual and it is very nice talking with her. I am looking forward to host her in Istanbul...

This chaotic person is great to be around. All her energy and her hospitality (tea, choclate, sweets, boardgame) makes me feel good :D

I've known Sanne from when we were both students, back when we were young... oh wait, we're still young. And we've both decided studying again is a wise career move :)
And she still is energetic, very interested in a lot of stuff, and genuinely attentive to people.

Sanne's was the first couch I surfed. And I couldn't have asked for a better initiation into CS. She is a nice host, full of verve and gusto, and a very helpful person. Oh, and an excellent cook!

We joined a pubcrawl in Utrecht and ended in an endless conversation about everything¬hing. Sanne is a charming lady, open-minded and one of the most sparkling members of the Utrechtgroup! A lovely person, glad to know her.

Sanne is a laugh and a half. You won't find anyone with more energy or who is better at cooking! She is a warm and friendly person who I would be glad to host or be hosted by anytime.

 

Of Course Sanne gave also a sweet shine on the CS meeting!! Let me know when are the Utrecht meetings and let's see if I am able to join on some meeting there! See You on the other side!
Update: And after the free hugs meeting we cooked dinner in Jasper and Liza's house and she has a ratatoullie inside her!!! All the cooking were extremly tasty! If You surf my couch let me know what ingredients I must have!

 

She is sweet and always smiling, although she says that she is aggressive and sarcastic :) She radiates a very pleasant waves around her, and even frozen strangers on the streets of Utrecht could not resist her Free Hugs offered!
It looked like she gave all herself away, and became very thirsty that day, as she was the whole evening after searching for drinks during playing games... So when you get to meet her, make sure there is enough of those at stock! ;)

 

I allready met Sanne on several meetings, she is allways able to show a new side. I allready found out she is a good, and very fast poet. Now she also appears to be a great cook; whoops, chef. You and Liza form a good pair on my couch!

Sanne is a really cool and happy girl. Almost all the time she has a smile on her face. She's open to see what's in the world.

about this nice girl,i can say that she is a frendly and warm girl she spend 2 night in my places and we spend time in the tapas bar,with her shy friend from england,but funny guy,hey check the kind of food that she cook.

We first met while she lost her CSers but don't worry she found them again. Sanne has great taste in music and people, you can find her often at all the great music places in Utrecht. She is open, enthousiastic and like me also a little happily insane (prettig gestoord).

I haven't met Sanne very often, but when I did, we had fun. Besides, she must be a great cook. Her ex-boyfriend occasionally cooks for me, and he does that very well. He claims he learned all his skills from Sanne.

Sanne prepared a very traditional dutch meal, all from her mother's recipe and I even got a little forbidden snack into my vegetable soup. We had funny conversations about our histories and she showed me wonderful pictures about this beautiful village in France.
