I am just answering to proper CS requests. If you don't know how to do that read the couchsurfing hints on the webside. I just host people who are real CS's and are really interested in the whole CS philosophy!
After having so wonderful experiences with CS in big OZ and the UK I just loved and enjoyed hosting people from all over...

HERE ARE SOME FACTS ABOUT LEIPZIG...
Geography city (1994 pop. 490,850), Saxony, East central Germany, at the confluence of the Pleisse, White Elster, and Parthe rivers.
Economy
One of Germany's major industrial, commercial, and transportation centers, it has many rail lines and two airports. Manufactures include textiles, electrical products, automobiles, machine tools, and chemicals. The city harbors major industries in heavy construction and engineering. The area is heavily polluted with sulfur dioxide from nearby coal-processing plants. Important international trade and industrial fairs have been held in the city since the Middle Ages.
Points of Interest Noteworthy buildings include the Church of St. Thomas (late 15th cent.), which has housed the tomb of Bach since 1950; the Gewandhaus, built in 1884 to replace the earlier structure; the 13th-century Pauline Church; Auerbach's Keller (16th cent.), an inn in which a scene of Goethe's Faust is set; the old city hall (1558); the old stock exchange (1682); the Church of St. John (17th cent.); the large main railroad station; the former German supreme court building (which now houses an art museum); and the opera (1960). In addition to the university (est. 1409), the city has institutes of applied radioactivity and stable isotopes.
History
Originally a Slavic settlement called Lipsk, Leipzig was chartered at the end of the 12th cent. and rapidly developed into a commercial center located at the intersection of important trade routes. A printing industry, which later became important, was started there c.1480. The city was the scene of the famous religious debate between Martin Luther, Carlstadt, and Johann Eck in 1519. In 1539 it accepted the Reformation. Three great battles of the Thirty Years War (two at Breitenfeld and one at Lützen) were fought near Leipzig.
The city was one of the leading cultural centers of Europe in the age of the philosopher and mathematician Leibnitz, who was born there in 1646, and of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach, who was cantor at the Church of St. Thomas from 1723 until his death. The Univ. of Leipzig (founded 1409) became one of the most important in Germany. In the 18th cent. Gottsched, Gellert, Schiller, and many others made Leipzig a literary center; the young Goethe studied there in 1765. The city's musical reputation reached its peak in the 19th and early 20th cent. Felix Mendelssohn, who died there in 1847, made the Gewandhaus concerts (begun in the 18th cent. in a former guildhouse and still continuing) internationally famous. Robert Schumann worked in Leipzig, Richard Wagner was born there in 1813, and the Leipzig Conservatory (founded by Mendelssohn in 1842—43) became one of the world's best-known musical academies.

I really love to travel- my dad used to take me all over the places. Since I come from the eastern part of Germany we weren´t allowed to go anywhere we wanted to until the wall came down. But then we used every chance to see the world.
My life is very colorful, I am always busy, always in action... can´t spent too much time at just one place. I prefer to travel by myself, so I can get to know more people in the country I go to and I am more independent. I have been in Brazil and the States- it was awesome... and also spent 3 amazing months in AUSTRALIA, where I had my first CS experiences. I stayed there with 9 different couchsurfers and they passed me on to their families and friends- it has been one of the most wonderful adventures I discovered! This trip just was a blast!!!
So glad I am finally back on CS- already did a little Europe trip and hosted 3 CS's (in a week- not bad, eh?) and my heart already is on the next journey and I can't wait to get it started again!
Doing my best to spread CS all around the world, greeting new members, doing many radio interviews and taking part at TV documentaries about CS, organizing many more meetings and of course to HOST whenever there is the chance!
CouchSurfing Experience
I had my very first couchsurfing experiences in big OZ- and never thought it would work out that well. I stayed there for almost 3 months and just had to stay 2 nights at a backpacker- the other times I stayed with CS's, their families and friends. There were a million lucky circumstances which made my trip to a blast.
After coming back from my journey I wanted to return the favor and since then I am hosting whenever I can! I had about 45 Couchsurfers staying with me and surfed in London and in Portugal. There were visitors who stayed just one night and I also had people staying for more than a month... it is always exciting to host someone and to get to know someone and the best part about having visitors is you get to know a country without being there- it is like being on a special journey without leaving the house... :-)

Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
COUCHSURFING ROCKS and I am hopelessly ADDICTED! People I seriously need help!
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.

Gee, SONNE is a power pack and a condensation of good spirit if I ever met one!
My surf demand was not too convenient to her, but she went out of her way to help.
Well, 'help' does not really describe all the things she invited me to do, to see, people to meet. We came home around 5 A.M. - and not even really tired.
The visit was a blizzard of joy and high voltage harmony.
If you make it to the Alps, dear, please remember to come by. I owe you a good one.
Katja is simply a star - she hosted me for over a week, drove me everywhere, organized my evenings, introduced me to some of her friends and showed me some bits of Leipzig. I could not imagine she could be more helpful, considerate and friendly. It was largely thanks to her that the whole Leipzig experience was so positive. Thanks a lot for everything, Katja!!!
I heart Katja! She's an active, smart, funny girl who knows how to party. In fact, she tried to teach me how to dance, but sadly, I don't think there's any hope for me (at least as far as dancing is concerned) :)
SONNE was was a very friendly host. We enjoyed the time in her wonderful flat and she took us to a cool party. breakfast (at noon) was more than delicious! Thanks for you hospitality, we had a good time!

Sweet to surf at her place! She's a very energetic person. Showed me great hospitality and shared the things she does in daily life like sports and going out together. You dance girl! ;-)
