I was so happy to host Tim in Reykjavík that words can't describe it. And my flatmates' experience was the same. We all would have loved to have more time together playing cards and board games into the nights, listening to music, chatting and speculating about travels, life, the universe and everything. Tim is such an embracing and loving person! If I knew the words to describe him better... you can imagine that they all are very very very positive :) Tim altijd welcom, we kijken ernaar uit u te ontmoeten weer!

Tim is one of the most remarkable people I've met. Lovely, open, honest, earnest, enthusiastic, respectful, generous, endearing, intelligent, happy, punctual, rhythmic, sensitive, dreamy, playful, complimentary, easy-going, philosophical, protective, patient, pragmatic, present, adventurous, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful -- these are some of Tim's qualities I had the benefit of experiencing in our three brief days together. I'm confident you'll benefit from encountering him, too!

 

yes we did enjoy the wonders of the iceland airwaves festival, ate some good vegetarian food, drank some beers, really good down to earth guy, easy to be around and have nice constructive conversation, totally will surf with you if i ever back to netherlands otherwise you are always welcome in the mindblowing city of red deer alberta

 

If you could still leave 'extremely positive' references, Tim would deserve one. We found ourselves staying at the same hosts and had a lovely mini-adventure around a bit of Iceland.

Tim took me into his awesome house and let me surf there at the last moment, when I was going to stay at the park where we had the midsummernight meeting, and it was an awesome stay. Tim is a top notch CouchSurfer!

Timz is an easy person to confide in, as I had to ask him to help me sort out a problem and he was non- judgmental about it. He is a sensitive responsible, quiet person who takes a little time to get to know people.

Tim a lovely and shining dude. Every time we meet its fun to talk about West-Friesland.

I met Tim at Distant Heat Festival. He's so much fun! Very positive and always ready to have a good time. Intelligent, respectful and deeply interested in the local culture. A true Couchsurfer!

 

Tim and his friend Jasper were great guests. It was like catching up with old friends, and it was such a nice way to relax as we went out to dinner and then had a coffee and sheesha on the rooftops in Jebel Amman. Very friendly and great fun. You're more than welcome to drop by when you come to Australia. Enjoy Chad!

After an adventurous weekend with Tim and his friend Jasper (surprisingly there are night life in Jerusalem, including Tunnel Parties!) no wonder I lost 3/6 of my senses… They are the best guests that one can ask for.
I had wonderful time with you, guys (though it feels too short, you'll have to come again!).

Tim and his friend Jasper stayed in my place in Tel Aviv for 1 night. It was a true pleasure, they are both very easy going, fun, interesting and trustworthy. Would host them again any time (that is, if they want to come back here after seeing the whole globe). Have a good rest of the trip and thanks again for the holland tips, will surely make good use of them next time I'm there.

 

I just left Brussels behind me, when I met Tim and stayed one night on his couch. Tim was the only thing on that day, which made me feel better. :) He was really kind and as we met only for one hour or so I'm really looking for meeting and talking with him some day again! A great host!

As we were let down by our initial host at the last moment when we were already in Utrecht, we had to find a couch urgently. Tim saved us and we spend a very nice evening with him. He's an exemplary host I would recommend to everybody, he's a °real° coucher!

Tim and I both put in a lot of effort to keep the Utrecht CS a lively scene. He is a regular at metings and we worked together on the CS Midsummernight weekeind meeting in Utrecht. He's also a great graphic designer it turns out, a talented guy that you get along with easy. Relaxed, intelligent and reliable, full of ideals and unafraid to go for it! Keep it up dude...

Tim is a wonderful conversation partner with an interest for spiritual ideas. On a warm May evening I enjoyed walking next to his side through Zurich, taking part on his thoughts, laughs and easygoing manners.

We met in Utrecht, and he told me about his experiences in Iceland. He must be the ultimate couchsurfer, very energetic, active and has been in a lot of places. Like your pics as well ;-) We got to know each other better during the Berlin Beach Camp, and the trip to and from Berlin. He is very straightforward and fun to hang around with.

Timz is a great guy :D We went to BBC together and it was great fun. He's friendly, relaxed and a very good talker. He's sure fun to party with.

The short time I have spent with Tim in Zurich and at the Berlin Beach Camp has made such a positive impression on me. Tim is openminded, friendly, and funny. Jeff and I are lucky to have met such a welcoming and well-traveled person. Hope to see you again soon in the Netherlands!

 

It was lots of fun to have Tim and his friend Remco around for a few days. Keeping in the best crazy-Dutchman tradition, they were very easygoing, up for everything, always smiling and great to hang out with. I only wish I was more over that cold and with more energy, because we just barely started to explore all the fun stuff in Zurich. But all that mean is that you need to come again soon ;-)

 

Timz has great ideas and thinks out of the box. Besides, some nice chill out talks about work and travel related topics in the Boterwaag, I had a valuable insight of how to follow what one really wants from this guy. He offered us a ride for Berlin too!! Can't wait to put some good tunes for everyone during our ride! Cheers for more good times!

It was wonderful surfing Tims couch and we had a great time with him traveling around. We were pretty lucky to had him for our first surf.
Hopefully we will be able to host him some day and play some more games with him.

 

Tim(Z)is always fun to meet. He is always kind, enthusiastic, passionate about travelling and considerate and we both love music:)

It started with a bucket.. and continued through random tangents that merged seamlessly into more and more ad-hoc and relatively thought-provoking conversation. Looking very forward to chatting more with him .. bucket or no bucket!

 

Tim is a very nice conversation partner and a good listener. I think he found out how to live life well, which is quite an achievement! Let's have some more of those conversations :)

 

The first thing that pleasantly surprised me about Tim was his extremely personalized couchrequest message: he had read through all my profile and he had spent a few minutes tailoring his message for me. I am happy that I finally managed to host him, although for one night only (I wish it would have been longer). The other way Tim surprised me is his deep up-to-dateness (?) of italian news (from politics to economics) and his huge travel experience, which he shared a bit with me. I was very pleased to meet such a person, and if I ever go to Utrecht, his couch will be my first destination!

Cool guy! Hosted him only for a night but I'd have been very happy to enjoy his company longer. We had really nice chats, shared stories, ideas and opinions about all kinds of things and it felt like talking to an old friend. He's funny, very kind and doesn't give anything for granted, a very considerate guest. Definitely worth hosting/surfing. Thank you Tim, hope to meet you again.

 

Tim(z), great guy with a few unexpected sides to him. Spent time with him on many occasions always having fun. We have some motor bike related plans for the summer, hope they work out.

We talked for a while at a CS meeting, and Tim told me so much about his traveling and CS meeting in Reykjavik and the rest of Iceland. The more words he said, the more I excited I got...

Every meeting he is there, with or without his red white dotted shirt ;-)

Tim surfed with us in our CS home, and joined my housemates, friends and some other CSers for a night out on the town (even got interviewed for radio and our pics on the website ... new years resolution "to have more fun!"). He's intelligent, sociable and friendly and we all enjoyed his company in the short time we spent together before Dave and I left for Morocco. And I was stoked to get back from Morocco and find that there were some of those yummy Dutch biscuits left!!

 

Tim,(who is not from Smurfland), was good fun to host. He was up for Korean food and a language lesson.. and for being dragged on a loooong hike around a peninsula.. and for being dragged out for a sleepless night in town with my nutty friends (a torment I tend to give visiting couchy's). Basically, he's up for trying new things and was a really interesting person to spend time with.

Have to say that this man is the funiest Dutch man I ever met. He was being hosteed by my friend Chris and ended up sleeping (confortably I hope) in my bedroom floor. We shared loads of laughs over a few good drinks including that nasty black Absynthe that I spend a fortune on... blhark

You can trust Tim with your life! He is both a couch surf fanatic and a games fanatic (like myself). He is a layed back open person, opening his house to anyone in need and he has some amazing lifestories to tell.

A nice guy and the only one who slept at the same place as me during sinterklaas, who surely didn't snore. (Coz the snoring clearly came from the right and he was the only one left from myself.) ;-)

forunately we surfed the same couch in Rotterdam, cause I really appreciate to meet him! He's really a nice, funny and good-looking man who seems to have everything under control - that's why he was our captain ;) his German is perfect, with an endearing Dutch accent :)

I met Tim at the sinterklaasmeeting and talked for a while. We share the same passion Sports. Hope to see him again some time because we are not finished talking!

We surfed the same couch for a night during the Rotterdam Sinterklaas meeting and without his leadership capabilities we certainly would have gotten lost. Tim is a very social guy that looks after people and fun and interesting to talk to, so hook up with him if you get the chance. Plus he was about the only one that didn't ruin my rest by snoring/talking/moving!

Tim is very open minded and talkative guy. I met him at the Sinterklaas party in Rotterdam. As we aren't living too far away more meetings will probably follow, perhaps at a boardgames gathering somewhere as our first scheduled event is cancelled.

 

Tim and i had to explain the 'rules' about the girls to each other. hahaha. Next time we gonna do more 'hunting' together. It was real fun, hope to see you soon.

A bit of a late reaction, but Tim walked up to me in Reykjavík during the Airwaves week while actually never having met me ('are you evelien?'), which was a complete surprise & a lot of fun. Recognized me from my profile. We just met shortly, but the impression was definately positive!

Amazing experience...even thru time! We went to a historical park museum where people actually lived in ancient, medieval and Roman times-it was awsome.Plus we both experienced windmills for our first time!!!

 

Tim is a nice guy, games freak, lover of good music and devoted to traveling and Couch surfing. One of the stable powers of the Utrecht group, but he seems to be active and organizes meeting everywhere he goes...

Now, meeting Tim took forever. Originally he saw that we were going to the Netherlands and INVITED us to stay with him and to show us around! We decided to go, but we had to cancel on the last minute since we had very little time on our hands. Finally, Tim came to Iceland and we were going to host him, but he had already promised to stay elsewhere....finally, after series of sms's here in Iceland we managed to meet him on a local pub and drank a pint with him and had the most enjoyable time! Better late than never, he went back home 3 hours later. Stroke of luck! Even from what little we've seen of him he had already made an impression on us as a really accomodating and generous host, and when we finally did meet him he struck us as a generally very very nice guy! We definitely have to catch up later, TIMZ!

Tim was a great house guest. He was interesting, friendly and made us a great Dutch dinner. I'd definitely let him stay with us again, and I hope to visit him sometime in the land of tulips and windmills.

Met him some times and will meet him again for sure, he's everywhere - he's reported to be at almost every meeting in The Netherlands. And Tim is such a positive guy..meet him or otherwise he'll meet you!

Tim suggested couch surfers should go to ROBODOCK festival in Amsterdam. I was interested so Tim and I took on this wonderland of scrap metal and mishmash. Twas the most amazing day of mind-warping magic, robotics, soundscape, fire, destruction and experimental art that really tinkered with the heart. Tim has an amazing brain. His love for music pumps through his veins. He is organised, pro-active and makes lots of time for enjoying life and taking part in music/art festivals and who knows what! A really fascinating guy.

 

We met during a CS meeting, Tim is a very open-minded, friendly, easy-going person. He was going for a trip to Normandie where I am from, and it was nice to see his enthusiasm about it.
It'll be a pleasure to meet again!!

Tim came from Culemborg (!) to meet CS'ers in Rotterdam. I'm glad he did that, he's really friendly and I will meet him again on Pukkelpop (festival in Belgium).

 

Tim has the honour to be the first couch surfer EVER that I have met in real life. He's really cool, totally trustworthy and you will probably find him anywhere in the world -desert, beach, city or mountain- where there's a party. If I wasn't travelling so much myself, I'd be jealous. :)
