Great person! great 3 days , Yelyam is always in a great mood , ready to walk ,swim,dance ,eat,or just to take a wonderful nap, i am very happy that i invited her to come to my house and that i met her,,

We first met for a drink and to hang around with other CSurfer. And after it ended up settling several things for the 2 weeks Yamina was in Portugal.
Not only for the last 2 nights (when Yam surfed my “couch”) but in every moment spent with her I had an immense pleasure.
Wonderful person!

Unfortunately she decided to accept my invitation to stay on my couch and tell their stories and adventures...
But she is so boring...always talking, never shuts up and forces me to wake up at 9 o'clock in the morning ... But deep down She is very cool ;)

I'm kidding ... She is simply GORGEOUS, always happy and ready for a good adventure..She was my first real experience as CSer, and no doubt that I recommend here with the highest confidence...

Had a great evening/dinner with Yelyan and 2 other cs friends, talked about everything that crossed our minds!!! and it was always cool and relaxed!!!!

Smily and perfect host, we enjoyed so much discovering her Brussels! Yamina offered us not only hospitality but one of these rare amazing instants that makes life so sweet... She's an extraordinary story-teller!!! Thanks a lot!

 

Met Yamina the first time at the Belgian Amb-meeting in Dendermonde. I was impressed by her knowledge of CS. We share the love for small meetings and personal contact.
She is a lot better in a game (forgot the name of it). And last but not least: her Dutch is a lot better then my French.
I really hope you can have your country-amb-flag soon and are able to build togheter with us the CS-community in Wallonia.

 

She is our Brussels CS queen. She has an open spirit and does a lot for our CS project. I met her on several CS meetings, always happy to see her. Go to meet her when you are in Brussels !

J'ai couchsurfé chez Yelam ce week-end, elle a été plus que très gentille et le quartier où elle vit à Bruxelles est très vivant.

We met in sablette beach near mohammedia, it's was a pleasur to met her, she is so nice so cool, easygoing, open minded and generous. hope to met you again.

Though for being "81"y.o you walk quite at a good rythm!jejeje.I really enjoyed that walk around Fôret Soignes trying to locate that strange bird which turned out to be....a mobile phone!incredible..jeje, hope to see you again,would love to hear a story from you as you play the little african instrument :-),take care!

We met Yelyam at a last minute meeting. It was amazing talking with her. It felt as if we knew her for a long time already. She doesn't have the CS spirit, she IS the CS spirit.
She came to the singing evening at our place and gave herself 100% Go for it Yam!

We again exchanged some mails as I was coming back to Brussels and she helped me to find Ingrid's jam session. This time we talked a bit more than on the Liège-meeting in october 07. She is a very open, vivid and funny girl, laughing a lot ... hope to see you again soon ... I would definitely trust her.

 

I met Yelyam at several meetings, with great atmosphere - eg walking and singing meetings. In the CS organisation context, she communicates clearly and to the point, and considers both general and detailed points.

 

Yamina is the one who really introduced me to the couchsurfing... She was a great leader through it and makes a very nice ambassador for Brussels!
She's full of energy, entertaining, and spreading the vibes... It's great to have her around. She can turn your floppy party into a crazy ambiance.
My only negative point... I don't know her enough yet!

Yelyam didn't surprise me for being intelligent. She didn't surprise me for being responsible neither. These two things I've already known after meeting her several times in Brussels. But having the opportunity to spend a weekend with her, I have to admit that she is really a great person! She gave me so many inspirations by the way she behaves. She is truly understanding, big-hearted, a good listener, and this list could go on and on. A lot of small things that I liked so much and would like to learn from her!
Happy to have her as a CS ambassador of Brussels!

We spent great time with Yam, to short but so great. She's a very smilling person, alway ready to help, and open minded. Our daughters like her a lot! We hope to see her again here in Lyon, or in Brussel fr sure...

Yam was great, enthusiastic, purple, and TB's co-chef! It was wonderful speed-walking Belgrade (to the point of breakdown;) together. She radiates smiles and positive energy- which made sun shine for those two (short) november days in Belgrade! All in all a super guest to have:D May the Tesla power be with you!

It was an honor to host CS city embassador (my first CS host of this rank!:))and moreover an embassador of the city where i used to live! I very soon realized that Yamina is doing a fantastic work for Brussels CS community and i (nearly) regret not being part of the Brussels CS scene anylonger.:) From the moment Yamina entered my appartement it felt like an old friend was around. It was a pleasure spending time with her! She is warm, generous, smart, experienced, positive and interesting lady. I very much admire the energy and intelligence she devotes to CS and the Waterbuffalo Project! Yamina clearly is an inspiration! Yamina, see you in Brussels in December I hope.

Yam is someone really SPECIAL. and her dedication to CS is just WOW.... within a small period of time we are very close to each other and now we start a nice friendship between us. Yam has a good quality of listening and respecting people and their lifestyles. I was so happy when she decided by herself to help me with the organization of a party for humanitarian purposes on 13th Oct in Liege. Thanks Yam for your energy & efforts wish you the best of everything and stay as you are.

Wonderful experience she is really a nice person and fun to interact with...always had good time meeting her.

She is an incredible human being, I met her via à friend of mine. Strange connexions surrounded our encounter. Step by step we've finally built a friendship. Random is still part of the relationship, but it's no longer "the guide".
She introduced me to all the Cs community.
I consider her as my Cs-godmother. She is very motivated and active in Cslive, a great ambassador!

Yamina!? Wellll she is the most heartily, Sunny & involved Belgian CS I ever met. (Sorry Yam, not off whole Eurasia ;-D. This title goes to…Trrrrrrrrrrr… our guest Toni Walia).
I had some nice experience and understandings with this girl in advance off and at “The Waterbuffalo Project dinner party”. I know Yam as a moderator, arbiter and a diplomat straight to the line … in a nutshell… our Iron lady of Brussels. :-P
Fortunately she is also a deep warm caring host! I vote for you!

 

It was a joy to surf with Yelyam. For me traveling is all about meeting people and making new friends. In her company, I met some amazing CS members and made many new friends. Yam has been very friendly from the first email we exchanged. then we finally met,and her hospitality was even better.her house is gorgeous,and luna is a perfect Cs spirit cat:) unfortunately,the circumstances were not rowing our way: she had a bike accident the day before,plus had to work,plus we were all VERY tired,and one of her friends was leaving belgium....i really hope to see her again,we need to get to know each other better! good luck with the waterbuffalo project,and Cs meetings around belgium...just be careful the brakes work next time!!

When I first met Yamina and her friend Celine in the airport, I felt suddently amazed as she is the rare kind of poeple you get along with in the first minute - beside her many qualities (too long to mention them all) she is a non-stop dancer, easy-going nice clubber lady as she have a good mind in discussions - glad to have her as a good friend - she is absolutely recommended.
See you somewhere in Europe in summer !

 

Yam was a bubbly, interesting character who I had lots of fun with during our brief time together. She makes an excellent ambassador for the couchsurfing community!

 

Yamina is the most active and most desperate CouchSurfer I've ever met. And also a really nice person :-)

Although she had a quite serious bike accident in the morning of the Car Free Day, you couldn't see her but smiling, laughing and chatting the whole afternoon. A 110% real postive girl!

 

And extremely positive it was! Yamina is so kind, sweet, positive, and so much more!She made me at ease the whole weekend. I had the most wonderful time in Brussels thanks to her, her meetingskills, the sun , the frisbees, the Car Free Day, the Markets and not to mention al those great people in Bxl. She was truelly the cherry on the cake.

Yamina lights up a room ! She came to the meeting in Bruges, and really put an 'extra' in it. Her profile reads like a book, I love it! She's so enthousiastic without being overwhelming, I already liked her before I met her, because her messages were hilarious yet warm too. Oh and she's the first "francophone" I've met without a french accent when she speaks english, WAW! Great ambassador for Brussels!

 

Yelyam is extremely energetic (little bit like the Duracel rabbit) and generously spreads her energy over everybody who's in her neighbourhood. She organised a great ambassadors meeting at her place (more to come?) and showed us a little bit of Brussels...

**UPDATE: Yelyam is the driving force behind the "One Couch/One Euro -Waterbuffalo project". It's great to see all the ideas she comes up with to make this project work. Respect!

i had already met yamina on several meetings but really talked to her in bruges and it was worth the wait! shes like a little ball of energy on legs...the cs-er par excellence! very cool...

 

Yam is a wonderful, warm and sunny personality who I felt instantly at home with when I met her in Brussels..look forward to meeting her again...we share many similar passions and i wsih to see her in india soon:D

Yasmina is a fantastic ambassador for CS. She is funny, active, friendly...I met her twice in Bruges, in December (Christmas meeting) and june for "feest in het park"...she has always something interesting to tell...I'm very happy to know you

Finally I got to meet her :-) !!
And she was all the positive things I expected: very easy-going, very very dynamic and organised, very very very cheerful, friendly and enthusiastic :-)...
No doubt we'll get to meet again here and there sooner rather than later!

UPDATE (July 2008):
I'm glad I kept meeting and knowing her better and better! She takes her role of CS ambassador very seriously, but takes friendships just as seriously: if you get "there" :-), you know you can count on her because she's a really caring and sensitive person!!
Everytime we met was a pleasure, so I can only hope that it won't stop anytime soon :-) !

She's wicked: she's got a very outstanding and original personality. Good minded, positive and dynamic, she also is a good listener and a trustful person. I am happy she's a neighbour so that we can always go to Belga or clubbing together!! Hero of her own life (LOL) u are lucky if she makes you a character of her story. Loads of Irises to you dear friend!

We met this person at a meeting in Brussel. It was our first experience with other couchsurfers. She was verry frendly, helpful and answered our questions very kindly. We spent a very good evening.

Vibrant, fun, brimming with energy and a really positive attitude. A little black cat that might scratch you or snuggle on your lap, never seem to know. Yamina seems an independant person, although living close to her mother, never visits her... claiming her mother can be annoying and all she really needs to accompany her is a good book and maybe a nice herbal tea.

We only spoke briefly at the CS meeting, but she did a fine job co-organizing it and afterwards had the brilliant idea to invite everyone to place Lux! Since then we have had some thoughtful discussions in the Brussels forum.

I went through her profile & i contacted her to have a drink as we live in the same area. The first contact was very positive, we did not stop talking. We have so much interest in common, it's amazing! Yamina is very active,dynamic and she has a good aura.

I had very exciting time while my stay at Yamina's place. They were having an Ambassador's meeting which I could sit and listen. I could really feel great people gathering. Yamina was a wonderful host; in her house I felt very much at home. She is very friendly and even took me out with her one night to meet some friends. I cannot say enough nice things.

me and Dave were going from Antwerp to Brussels but all the hostels were booked. Remco told us of Yamina and we contacted her on less than a day notice. she was great. we met on the train and then she gave us a walking tour of Brussels all the way from central station to her neighborhood. Comfy home and super friendly person. Two thumbs up!

Met her at the CS meeting in Brugge and a lunch. We talked a bit. She is a very lively person.

 

You can't have Yelyam around without seeing her. She has a never ending laugh and smile on her face! Her entousiasm is contagious. Surely meet this woman in Bxl; you wan't regret it. But watch out if she gets an camera in her hands ;-)))

She whirls around you and everyone like a hurricane, but with more energy. Don't drink when you talk with her, or you will drown in her flow of words. Loved our coincidental and unbound talks on our own lives, backgrounds and daily life.

Wow, I cannot praise her highly enough. Took me into her world, literally, during Christmas 2006. Spent christmas eve and day with her and attended a CS meeting together. I consider her a good friend and think only the best of her. Thanks for everything and I hope to see you again soon.

She's absolutly a volcano! She's very nice and smiling girl! We've been almost neighbourhood in Bruxelles..simply amasing!
She invited us for a Xmas brunch with Belgian pancakes, Italian lasagne and Moroccan rice!

Yelyam is the perfect host!! Nothing is too much trouble for her, and she really does make you feel welcome. Great to talk to her about life in Belgium and life in Brussels. My only regret is that I did not have enough time!! Hope that she visits me so that I can repay her hospitality.

 

Yamina is a hell of a lot of fun. We had James Bond stunts on metro trains, Frog hops across pools, we almost drowned trying to play hockey at the bottom of a pool!! We got stuffed with great Italian food at another Couchy's house. We met tons of people and it was great. Definately recommend Yamina's place for the good people and the hammocks!! Who can resist hammocks??

I found Yamina through CouchSearch, looking for a couch in Brussels. As she wasn't sure about the date of a birthday party I secured another couch but we arranged to meet at the Café Belga for a talk. We talked for about an hour and I was immediately taken by her open and positive attitude. I felt very comfortable and hope to meet her again sometime.

Yamina is a bright Couchsurfing Spirit. From the first email contact we had, I could already feel she's wearm-hearted and generous; of course this was confirmed when I met her in Ixelles-Brussels. Higly recommended, great cushions, too!
