I have no couch where you can crash at the moment. I feel definitely sorry about that. As soon as I find a place with a proper couch, I will let you know ;p

I live in Central London, Vauxhall, in quite a huge flat. As I have just arrived, I am waiting to know better my flatmates before telling them : "Guess what ? Tonight, we host someone I don't even know !!"
About me, I will keep it short : I am very interested on trying new things, new cultures. In a few words, I love learning.
How I Participate in CS
Share what I have is the way I am participating. When you give something, it's done, you did it because you wanted to give. So please don't talk about giving back.

One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
There is a restaurant in Paris, very rare. It's called "in the dark". You are guided by a blind waiter or waitress. Everything is in the dark. You have to eat in the dark. It was very funny (because after 5 minutes to try finding your fork, you decide to use your fingers ;p ), and very interesting, because, as you don't know what it looks like, you have to experience it differently, with the taste, and smell.
It's also funny because, you will meet a lot of people in the same table, talking and laughing with them. In every other restaurant, you come with some people, and you only speak with them.
Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
CouchSurfing.com is one step to a different society, where people can help other people. I wish the society can be turned into a place where money is an exchange, and where the best people are people sharing the most.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
I've just spent two fantastic days in London and it's thanks to David (he's definitely a good host) and the beautiful weather. We had a delicious barbecue at his place and then went to the world record biggest picnic the next day.
He's a talented juggler and I'm happy he taught me a few tricks.
It was great talking to David, a very nice, chatty, genuine guy. He likes cider too which is a plus. Shame you couldn't make it to my curry event but I am sure there will be further opportunities to share some good French wine and talk about queueing!
David is a really friendly guy and he always makes me laugh. I am still sorry about my bad bagel shop recommendations, I will do better next time (if you ever trust me again as an authority on english food!)
Don´t believe him- I was probably so lovely because being around someone like David makes the whole hosting experience a real pleasure, so there is no merit in my performance.
David is wonderful: kind, attentive and interesting. Be careful with him: he will insist in taking you out for dinner and there will be no point in attempting to share the bill, he will say he doesn´t need sheets because he can just sleep directly on top of the couch, and he will tiptoe around your place as in eternal debt with his host... But you should give him sheets and much more, because that is what he deserves.
David is a really nice guy, we have a lot of common interests. He is funny, smart, really nice and we can talk about a lot of things with him. I know him only since one month, but I can already say that David is someone you can really trust!
David and Nicolas were fantastic hosts. This was our first time CSing, and we were very pleased with our experience. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, took us to meet their wonderful friends and made sure our time in Paris was great. Can't wait to have REAL pancakes with you guys in Canada!
