Yar, this lad be a good matey. He sailed with me for almost a week and he didn't attempt mutiny even once! He's the kind of feller who would offer you peg leg oil even if it was his last bottle. He be funny and easy going, the kind of lad you want swabbing yer poop deck. I would be mighty glad if he were to call San Francisco his home port. If you have the chance definitely get this hand on yer crew!

 

Not only unfazed by the absolute lack of propriety here, Jack reveled in it, exploited it, threw it on the ground and said "who's your daddy?". I love Jack. He takes an invitation seriously. He has a rad pink wallet. We are seriously hoping he will forget about DC and move back to San Francisco.

Jack is a phenomenal person with a lot of positive energy. Traveling with him in large group in a tiny country was pretty awesome and I know that he's got the travel spirit that makes traveling souls so special! Very dependable you are, my dear!

Jack is wonderful person full og great stories and an open mind. A shame that we didn't get to spend more time together since he's a person you defenitely want to get to know better!

Sure that we'll meet again somewhere along the way!

I've known Jack for the better part of 7 years and he is a great person, I literally would trust him with my life

 

We met the first time in the Negev in Israel, the second time on the island Koh Tao in Thailand, who knows where next? If you´d ever get the chance to meet Jack, do it! Great guy, it´s always entertaining when he is around, he is always ready to help and so many more positive characteristics...

Jack is a gracious guest, which is hard to come by. He is laid back, ready for anything, and can enjoy going out with a big group as much as hanging out one on one. He enjoys people and learning their stories. He likes to teach as much as he likes to learn. I joined couch surfing because of all the wonderful experiences he has had through it. Jack is one of my favorite people I've ever met.

Brilliant surfers are those who make you house happier and cleaner than before they came! Jack and the girls were a delight and I would have had a thoroughly dull week without them- Instead I had one of the best times in my little desert life yet!

Jack is super out-going, independant, curious, friendly, and considerate. He's an interesting person all-'round- full of smiles, stories, and dance-moves galore. While you're in TLV, you're welcome to chill with me and my friends anytime, Jack!

Jack is a way friendly cool guy who I met at the CS monthly meet up in Haifa. After a very interesting ride to my place in "bumble bee" we had some good conversations and ....he did the dishes!!! double CS brownie points for that! I hope some day when I make it back to SanFran that we can cross paths again. Happy travels!

 

He is the best older brother and friend a guy could have! 18 years of knowing him and hes still probably the person I have the most fun with!

Jack is a great guy to have in any situation. Whether he's convincing strangers at the bar to sing happy birthday (to someone he just met), or scoring a 110 on the bowling lanes, he is cool as ice and funny as hell.

 

"Jackolicious" is definitely an understatement. Jack is "a pumpkin"...an endearing title reserved only for the best of the best, usually only animals and babies. Jack came into my life with style, like he's been here the whole time. I've got a list as giant as he is of great things to say about this boy. He's cute and very smooth, and even does my lesbian flirting for me, talk about the perfect wing man!! Thanks for making my birthday so wonderful! I owe you one hot guitar chick. But seriously, Jack is a barrel of fun, and I can't wait to adventure off with him, and see who has more success with the ladies: me wearing my bike helmet, or Jack in his spandex shorts. Jack is such a magnetic force, that he drew me to him twice without knowing it. Totally random connection, and an auspicious one at that! He's good peoples, and that's really apparent after like 2 seconds upon meeting him. Yep, he's leaving SF, so I'll have to leave it to fate and see if it brings me to the same mountain in Tahoe where he'll be snowboarding. :P

When you arrive in a city that you dont know after a long and tiring journey, Jack is the sigh of relief you take when you arrive. A warm and generous person, chilled out and fun. Had an absolute blast with him. Cheers!!!

 

jack is a good friend from the high school days in Northern Virginia where we'd frequently banter about technology. He's an awesome guy and a great photographer, so make sure you stay with him!

Jack is one of my favourite couchsurfing experiences so far. He is a genuine, and positive guy, who introduced me to his amazing circle of friends and made me feel like san francisco was my second home. I hope we have the chance to meet up again very soon.

Jack was so nice to let us stay after having a house full of couchsurfers most of the week! He knew the city very well and was a really reliable host.

Not only was he cool in e-mail, he is so open, funny, connected, interesting, and had literally ten CSers over to his new pad, while simultaneously doing an interview for my documentary, and enjoying an amazing feast cooked by his french csers... that dessert was to die for. Jack and I met IN THE FUTURE. (And also I am testing the reference page's ability to catch date blunders!) I knew he was a stellar cosmostranger from t=-5, when he scanned high on the Ottometer. But I still had my doubts. It was when I interacted with him in the old-fashioned pre-telepathic style, face-to-face conversation, that my human-rate-o-matron blew a fuse! Now he is programed into my internal microhadron collider under a frequent-collision course setting. Hoverbike mission 001 pending.

Jack has such an amazing personality. He comes from a bit of everywhere and you can feel it by talking to him. He had such wonderful experiences, and enjoy finding the best in everyone. You can see that he's always trying to learn from his slightest experience, always trying to learn something from others.
Smart, funny, tall, experienced (He can hardly go through his door)... Anyway, Jack would you marry us both?

How could you not know Jack? He is the life of the party. I had a great time meeting him at the Coffee bar and even had a blast at Slims where we heard some pretty cool music. I love his quirkiness and his ability to make people feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely the person to go out for drinks and laughs.

 

Jack is an awesome individual. I knew we'd be friends the second he stole my cupcake. He's warm, funny, and all-around enjoyable to be with. He's also technically African-American, which gets total street cred in my book ;)

Jack is the sweetest guy in the world. He's the reason couchsurfing works - he'll show you a great time and truly make sure you're comfortable. Amazing guy.

 

We spent a very nice time with that guy (that guy who says he wants to live alone... but don't believe him! He just can't :) Jack was very friendly at the very first second and he was very helpful to discover the best places in San Fran'. We particularly appreciated his sense of humour -quite odd sometimes, and that's what we like!

Don't let Jack tell you a story..he'll take hours! Too many commercial breaks..phew! ..haha! I'm just kidding. It was so nice meeting Jack. I instantly recognized him in a crowd. He looked exactly like his profile photo. And his personality is as fun and zany! Hey Jack..looking forward to running into you again at the next meet-up. And next time perhaps you can walk up to the guy and ask.. Ahh..Excuse me officer, uhmm.. would you mind if I take a close-up photo with you? It'll be a nice little memento.. haha..

 

I think I love Jack. Sure, I only got to stay with him for one night, but then I came back to visit and hopefully I'll be seeing more of him. He's totally that person you join CS in hopes of meeting. He is a great host and his apartment just keeps getting fancier - suddenly there's not only furniture and art but LCD projectors. Who knows what's coming next, if he stays in one place.

I am speechless at Jack's hospitality. I didn't know what to say to him as I left San Francisco this morning. He is SO accommodating, and SO friendly! He feels like a long, lost friend instead of a couchsurfing host. I think he is going to be the most popular host in San Francisco pretty soon....everyone wants to stay with him :) And they should!

 

Jack is awesome. Although he couldn't host at first, he suggested some places in San Fran to check out. Later we met with other CS'ers for a native dinner in a beautiful park. We then found our way to our first CS'er gathering/meetup which introduced us to dozens of other Couchsurfers from around the world. A fantastic CSing ambassador! I wish we could have spent more time with him.

Mr Jackolicious is cool. We met at several gatherings and hung out one day - he is someone you can trust. We talked about everything and nothing. I felt I could tell him anything...maybe I've told him too much ;) Oopsie. Kidding :) He is great fun to hang out with, anyone who gets the change, really should :)

 

Jack's one of those people you meet, take an instant liking to and then, alas, only see a couple of times after that. He has a welcoming, warm energy and a quick wit to go with it. He's off already to new adventures. I only recently learned that he takes great photos when I hit his exhibition in North Beach. We met at various events in SF this year, it was always a pleasure and I hope we'll cross paths again either here or somewhere else in the world. Until the next time! ;)

Jack offered a very comfortable apartment for all of us (3) to stay on while we flew into San Francisco. It was the first time for all of us to couchsurf but he really took care of us and we all had a wonderful time. He showed us around and we had a blast.

Jack-o is super cool, but needs to eat more fish! FISH!!! FISH Jack-o!

Jack is a great host. Even when having a hard time he was able to let me feel welcome and at home. He helped me out with my scouting quest by showing me all areas in SF, knowing a lot of interesting details about the city and people who live in it (like a walking Wikipedia)
He is kind, warm, curious and open for all new stuff in life.
You would be happy to surf with him, he will make your stay in San Fran more then good!

 

I would really like to get to know Jack better! He sounds super interesting and he lived in Djibouti!! We had a nice chat at the meetup and he is very personable.

 

Jack is THE model couchsurfer. He's incredibly friendly, sociable, and generous. Besides that, we have a blast and SF would be boring without him. Hella fun.

Part II:
Surfed Jack's airmatrass for two nights and went camping!!! It was fantastic! He took me to the best club in town and I got to dance on stage with a naked guy and three lesbian rapgirls :D

 

Jack laughs uncontrollably if you make him play Balderdash. He just can't help it.

He's the nicest guy in Chicago, and probably the best host besides myself (um, maybe).
