It was a pleasure to have Layne surf my spare room. She's interesting, intelligent, a great conversationalist, funny and totally cute. She had something worthwhile to say about every topic that we discussed, she is very thoughtful. Layne can also be sarcastic and at times cynical and sardonic which may or may not be a match for everyone, but it worked for me. I hope that she will pass through this way again soon so we can continue our conversation where we left off; if not, I just might have to road trip to LV.

Layne and I met up in Vegas and had a great time. She's smart and cool and happy to show people around. Great CouchSurfing friend!

 

Layne was seriously one of the best surfers I've ever had, and I would host her again in a heartbeat. She's ambassador material, that's for sure.

More than a bookworm, Layne is a sponge. She came to Albuquerque to do research (on a paper I'd be very interested to read) and just blew us all away with her knowledge of the area, which surpasses that of any ABQ native I've ever met. But the books weren't enough for her - she dug through and explored the city and its environs firsthand. I think in her six days in town she learned more about the city - and its funky little vibe - than most people who've lived here their whole lives.

Besides being absolutely brilliant, Layne is just a great person to be around. She's the kind of quasi-introverted person who's happy to spend time on her own, but actively engages in conversation with everyone around. Completely flexible and adaptable to the situation.

I can't wait to see her again.

I met Layne couch surfing with Benny in Albuquerque. Layne is down to earth,fun and is totally down to see off beat roadside attractions. Layne is also up for any adventure,even if that adventure includes going down a dark desolate road for miles and miles all while listening to the rap/rock station. Should I ever have to be in a horror movie Layne would have to be my co-star! Looking forward to seeing you in Vegas!

 

I had a great time hanging out with Layne during her time her in Albuquerque, along with Kai and Benny. I'm stoked that I got to share a small bit of local history, beer and good times with her, and would gladly do it again! Great company for conversation and laughs, and I look forward to catching up with her in sin city! Until next time... :)

If you get a chance to host her or just meet up with her, do it! Layne is a sweetheart. I'm lucky she lives in my town. I surfed her place for a night when the BART trains left without me!

She's been tons of fun to hang out with. :) Proof that you can meet great people on CS!

 

Layne, Thank you for coming. You are a great person. So cool, and intelligent. I really loved to talk to you af lots of subjects. It was really fun. Besides of it, when you talk in french you have so a charming accent.

You also make me understand a lots of things. I will leave france for California as soon as possible.

You should come to the concert of the Best rock band from SF : les Eggplants :)

We met in Boston both travelling and later this month in San Francisco, where she lives. She showed me around SF's cool nightlife. We had a lot of fun.

When she was travelling Europe later this year, she surfed my Couch in Munich. She's a nice surfer, it was fun to have her around. We then met again, when I was travelling to San Francisco later that year.

Be certain to meet up with her, you'll end up in the weirdest fun places ever, she's crazy and cool, fun to be around.

Layne stayed at my place only for a night. This is too LITTLE time to spend with her. Hanging out with her it was a real adventure. She is really sweet,smart and easy going person. But also confident and independent. Too bad she couldn't spend some more time here in Thessaloniki.

Update: Layen lives in one of the most beautiful city I've ever been. She managed to make me fall in love with San Francisco. He had a LOOONG walk to all the beautiful spots and some of the best bars and restaurants of the city. She even managed to turn me into a regular to the "Whiskey Thieves", an amazing local bar in the beautiful area of Tenderloin. I hope to be neighbor of her, when I move some day to SF :D

I guess you could say Layne was officially my first couchsurfing guest. Even though I was kind of couchsurfing at the time myself...eitherway she's an exceptional person that I got along great with, we toured my home town of Chicago and in doing so I visited a couple places I had never even been to before.

We again met up , Athens this time, and spent a fantastic weekend on a nearby island, crashing wedding parties, sleeping at beach bars, and aimlessly cruising around on scooters that have no working speedometer or gas gauge.

Layne was smart and sweet girl and i enjoyed my time and the conversations with her in Athens. I'm sure she enjoyed the drinks especially at the Hilton roof bar :) Hope to meet again.

Layne est si frais. If your life needs an infusion of bad-assness: surf with Layne!

 

Layne, sorry, but I really don't know anything about Prague... was my motto during Layne's stay. But skipping the touristic activity part, I had really great time with Layne, perhaps because sharing a lot of common interests, and also enjoying long conversations accompanied by a high alcohol consumption, and what a luck we had to find a karaoke bar just next to my flat. I wish we had more time together, as it was pretty short, and there were still too much things to talk about. And Layne, has a great skill in getting lost no matter what :). Hope to see you again sometime.

If her lack of urgency for seeing all the sights of Paris says anything about her it is that she is relaxed. Very much the Parisian American we chilled having some coffee and roamed the less touristed sides of Montmartre.

She Hosted me in San Francisco and even got me to sing Karaoke!! Fun Girl and had a great time:)

 

We got a chance to show Layne around for an evening when she was visiting Minneapolis. We had a great time with her. She was a lot of fun and she has good taste in jewelry! We would host Layne again any time and you should too. Hopefully we'll connect again someday when we're in the San Franscisco or Boston area. Good luck with grad school Layne.

 

Layne was a gracious and easy guest. She stayed at my place for a few nights and tolerated (even embraced) my sometimes chaotic nighttime schedule. She is a great and very nice person, communicative and easygoing. Glad to know the visit to Boston was a blast!

Layne is an incredible women, with most incredible hair! Her personality and sense of style puts mine to shame! With her extroverted, charasmatic air she is always a blast to hang out with... from drinking, to being tourists, to chatting, I highly choose Layne to satiate all of my CS travel-buddy needs! If you need an amazing person to hang out with Layne is a best bet, but you better get in line since her vibrance is in high demand! ;)

 

Layne came to our house for a night and came out with us to south street diner. didn't really get to spend much time together as I was in the midst of dublin jetlag, but she was down-to-earth and relaxed. Come back to party now that i'm back to normal!!! ;)

I met Layne randomally while she was visiting Boston. Easily one of the coolest people I have met in a long time, I have nothing but nice things to say about her.

She is the reason I'm even here!
