Peter is a very social, easy going and friendly person. Its good to have him arround when you go out.Good company.

Pieter stayed at my cottage in Dublin a few years ago (was it 2006?).

He's pretty laid back as far as I can remember.

My friends and had some great days at Pieters place. Lot of fun.. Thanks!

Pieter is one of the CS developers, we have meet multiple times and had interesting discussions. He has a great personality! :)

Pete and Jenna are just great multicultural host, easy-going and definitell positive people, the only people we met again on a huge festival.. by accident :)

I met Pieter at the Boterwaag pub in Den Haag after he organised a monthly Get-Together in the Hague. He seems like a really nice guy, and was well liked by everyone there. I look forward to the next meeting.

I hosted Pieter for 2 days during his lastminuts trip to Paris meeting. He is easygoing and smart guy. He plays good chess. We spent nice day skating, then he had a small accident ;) Unfortunately I don't speak english as well as he. I must start learning and soon I hope speak with him more.

I met pieter at a Cs meeting, such a funny guy who embrassed life as it come, i hope to see you trough other Cs meeting.

We met at his house in The Hague at a meeting he organised. It was a short meeting but he showed to be a very nice person, very friendly and easy going, hosting people all the time. He was also very enthusiastic organising the meeting, which was a very nice evening. If you need a host I surely say you can trust the guy..!

Definetly extremly positive guy played chess with him (lost though and that part i disliked about him). Relaxed to the bottom of possible relaxation. So cool guy aren`t as common on the surface of the planet - realy endangered specie he is. Meet him when ther`s still a chance. Linux prevail my man (someday eventualy)

Maybe lazy, but caring gentleman! He has stolen my heart while hosting me since a practicular Rotterdam meeting. I think we still have some surffing to do, minun pikku rakas.

 

Pieter and Jenna are great hosts. At the end of my very long, academic trip in the Netherlands, they made sure I had some good dinners, met their friends, saw the town, and even had time to relax with a movie. Pieter really embodies the spirit of couchsurfing and it is an honor to have stayed at his place. Thanks y'all!

Pieter really lives CS ! He can have 15 people from 4 countries flooding his bathroom and making chaos in his flat and he keeps his coolness and fun...

I once promised Pieter an extremely negative reference. Sorry, can't do it... Pieter is a lot of fun, as long as you don't mess with his plants. He's always willing to have a good time, down some beers and get his groove on on the dance floor. Pieter's a fellow CouchSurfing enthusiast and has been sucked into the bizarre world of the Finns :D

i am very glad that pieter has organized the cs-meeting in the hague. firstly because the meeting was great:-) secondly cause we met up there personally. he is a great person to meet and party with! and i definitely would like to proof that at further meetings:-)

 

Allthough I only met him for a brief moment I'm convinced that Pieter is a really nice person. He makes a very big addition to the couch surfing legacy.

One of the first CS experiance which I feel is very positive. Nice fellow with a couple of Finnish girlfriends also very nice. top!

I met pieter in Holland, I had not so much chance to talk to him long, but I liked his style.He is a nice and friendly person.

Pieter agreed to host the crazy French invasion team while we celebrated the Dutch national Day in Den Haag then Amsterdam. Thanks for making us feel so welcome and letting me surf in your garden - greeting the sun in the morning right under your garden trees was a pleasure :))
Oh and did I say that I like your living room walls? ;) Next time I'll make sth better out of them, promiss! ;)

Pieter is the tallest of my cs friends not only by its size but by his great open hearted character he showed along the past three weeks (freds birthday, couch invasion in rotterdam and recently in cologne). i really appreciate every moments we shared and was glad he hosted the couch invasion for the queens meeting late april 2007.

Pieter is a fun guy. He owns some cool t-shirts. Lets people write on his walls. Has a beautifull garden and a weird sense of humour (which I like).
I've spent a day on the beach with him and we ended up having a BBQ at his house.

So far, we met twice in gatherings/meetings (Once in his house and the second in Rotterdam). We talked for some time and I can sense he's someone you can trust.

 

Met him a couple of times, lastly got just in time for...well the last round of beer...hehe. Pieter is very hospitable and welcoming dude. Even let me write *undecryptable* words in papiamento on his wall of fame lol. Looking forward for other gatherings by/with ya! *Update: They even have a papiamento translator nowadays :)

pieter and jenny were really great hosts they dealed with my hyperactivity and made sure I was really comfy the night I stayed with them and pieter intoduced me to his friend ronald who hosted me for the past weekend

realised that we live down the road from eachother ... will def hang out some more before I head home to Oz! ;0)

 

I only stay with Pete and his girlfriend for 1 day but they are really good host. Very cool and I really enjoy our 4 hours of tv shows, hehehe!!!

I figured Pman would be a good guy, but he turned out to be a great dude. He´s the most "professional" CS member that I have crossed paths so far and is really contributing to this community. As for the accommondation arrengements, they were first class and comfy. Definetly I hope to meet Pieter again and who knows, maybe the honor of hosting him will fall upon me. Has everyone noticed that Pieter made himself a beer icon under special considerations? Is that not the coolest thing ever?

 

Pieter may claim to be "extremely negative" but by contrast, I can only think of "extremely positive" things to say about him. In fact, he is kind of like a teddy bear and he looks really swell in festive purple hats. Those are about the biggest complements a girl like me knows how to give. period.

 

I had a lovely time with Pieter and Jenna when they surfed my couch in December. To summarize, they were like family the way I really like it. We shared a spontaneous Sinterklaas(nl)/Nikolaus(de)[St. Nicholas] celebration, cooked together, played games together, even talked about family settings etc... Pieter is an experienced host, and subsequently was a marvelous guest, thoughtful, helpful, reliabe, sharing, wow! Thank you for taking care of my fridge and all the other unimposing details. Rest assured that made a huge difference! Hope to see you around another time!

 

Although he was wearing a t-shirt with the text: Extremely Negative... My experience was very positive and could also be called extremely positive.

Probably we will meet again.

 

I always have good night with this guy... whatever if it's for drinking, dancing (maybe we will need dance lesson), or pillow fighting...in fact he's probably the craziest guy with a pillow in his hand!!! ;) It will be a pleasure to see you again Pieter!

pieter is also able to have extremely POSITIVE references... be sure to spend a great time if you're planing to see this huge brown bear. his funny faces are nearly as good as mines !
we spent a great time at rotterdam meeting, he's so friendly and funny, and our pillow fight through rotterdam's street was awesome!

 

Pietertje is a very nice guy. He is open and always willing to help. I suppose he is just as much a hosting nut as I am. I will be sorry to see him leave for Finland

Pieter is a cool bloke. I first met him at a cs gathering in Rotterdam. A few months later he offered me a place on his couch after a gig in the Hague. Very friendly and relaxed guy.

Really laid back and fun person, a great guide for Haag and Holland as a whole. Strongly reccommended.

The fun thing is: I saw couchsurfing on Dutch TV, Me and my friend immediately hooked up. Next thing I got in my mailbox was a invitation for a BBQ from pieter, being new at this I asked him a lot (sorry for that Pieter) that same week I decided to hook up and meet Pieter and the couchpotatoes at his place.Needless to say: I did not see my bed that night! Had a blast.

I am sure that Pieter is a nice guy, and is normally a great host, but unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to witness that first-hand. First, he overbooked his house, and they were about 15 other travelers staying in his one-bedroom house, according to his profile he can only host a maximum of 10 couchsurfers. Because they were so many couch surfers, my friend and i had absolutely no place to sleep, all the couches, air matresses, and even the yard were occupied! So, at 1am, we decided to just head back to Amsterdam!! Pieter never even called to apologize or check to see if we made it back okay. Needless to say, I was thorougly disappointed with my experience.

He was a fun guy to visit, the barbeque was fun!
