Shared Sleeping Surface: Depends Shared Room: DependsYou would be sleeping in the living room ( there is a door that you can close at night that is separate from the rest of the apartment for some privacy). There is a couch in two pieces that will make it long and is comfy- I've slept on it many times. Or we can blow up an air bed that fits 2 people and although I haven't slept on it - there have been no complaints!
Please bring your own sleeping bag- we have a few extra blankets but not many.
* we don't usually sleep in so you will be woken up in the morning as we get ready for the day. Weekends are different of course!

My dream is to scatter little bits of myself everywhere. Leave foot prints on every unmarked path, and follow great leaders- as well as make them follow me :) I love the unknown, the unconventional, and trying to live a life that I can be proud of. I'm learning how to be true to myself at all costs, and make my dreams come true.
I'm often accused of being a child, or scolded for not taking things more seriously. Some see this as a flaw and others love me for it. I just don't see the point in getting all stressed out... it's only life.
How I Participate in CSI participate with meetings (both attending and organizing). I surf when possible- I prefer to see the city I'm visiting through the eyes of the people). I host when I have the time to truly make my home inviting and give attention. I moderate a few CS groups. I welcome new group members, and CS members when they join CS. In day to day life I promote CS whenever I meet new people, and answer questions. I also respond to many emails to : assisting people find a host, advice on the city, and meeting up to give a tour, etc.
I have also organized meetings during the famous Sinterklaas celebration in Rotterdam two years in a row- 2008,2009. As well as little normal meetings to get people together here and there.

the human condition, art, making love stay, learning more how to cook and how we really are what we eat, staying in bed as long as possible(when it's cold), finding a way to stop being cold, fire-places, knee socks, puppies,wine, and above all I'm interested in time travel, and teleporting myself into your living room. oh and I totally believe in ghosts, heebee geebie stuff, supernatural shit. :)

Sharing- I hope that everyone I meet shares a little piece of themselves with me.. One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneThe other day I was walking in Den Haag with a friend. I was in my own little world.. Then suddenly there was this guy walking very slowly, and in my way. I remember having to walk into the street to go around him, and being slightly annoyed. Why couldn't he just share the sidewalk? Well it turns out he was blind..
He must have heard me walking by.. because he called out and asked me if I knew where the tram was. I told him yes.. he asked if I would walk him. So I did.. we walked about 10 mins.. and I held his hand. He even sang to me.. it was.. one of the most amazing walks of my life. It touched me because.. it reminded me that there is still hope in the world, that people can trust, that people need other people, and that you can have such a strong connection with someone you don't even know.. someone you can't look at. All you have to go on.. is the human touch. ANyway.. yeah. For me.. things like that.. are amazing. When Paul came back together with Lorraine it felt more as they were friends than surfers. My husband and I enjoyed having them around. We hang out at home, and I took them to some nice viewing points in the city. Lorraine is very friendly, polite and easy to talk with. Hopefully we will meet again.

I can't thank them enough for getting me off on such a positive experience that made me want to keep going and couchsurf my way through Italy. Lorraine gave me many tips on how to CS while we were out having fun in SLO. I wish I would have known then what I now about CS. Without them I probably would have never been able to get through 10 cities by way of couch. : ) Come back to SLO again soon!!!
