My couch is a is actually a two persons futon! I think its comfy!!! In the house there are also two airbeds available.
Currently I am moving to the Pijp which is around a 15 minute walk from Leidseplein and a ten minute bus ride from CS station. We unpacked the sleeping equipment but the majority is still in boxes hope yas don't mind.
Just a note It would be awesome if you would come to Amsterdam to visit the city and maybe get to know some other cool couchsurfers within Amsterdam. I geuss I am kind of a social bird but there's always room for you to tagg allong! Its really fun!

Amsterdam is a very busy city and all hosts get heaps of requests. So I geuss its important for you to have the following things in order
1. Have a complete filled out profile (inclusive pictures)
2. Write a personalized request
3. Be original with your request as couches in Amsterdam are wanted during summer time
5. Mention the word hobbit in your couch surfing request topic!

Just send me an e-mail with the date(s)you are planning to come and what you are looking for. So I can see whether my place is suitable for your visiting plans.
Apart from my futon I also have
1. 2 sleeping baggs and pillows
2. One bike you can use
3. Computer with internet (you can use it)
4. Washing Machine you can use :P!
Generally I host for two nights .... :)
Route to Amsterdam North
My house is located about 20 minutes by bike from the city centre. My house is in Amsterdam North behind the Central station. It will take you only 6 minutes by bus.
The Remommendations
1. Its raining in Amsterdam quite a lot so you may want to bring an umbrella!
2. Make sure you always have a back-up plan. In June, Juny and August the hostels in Amsterdam are crowed. I sheldome cancel appointments but may something happen please make sure you have a plan B
3. It might be very helpful to have a telephone number where I can reach you and you can reach me as well, just in case plans change :-)!

Rose started mailing me in 2009 asking for advise as she was planning to move to Praha. And she did and we ran into each other on our weekly meetings.

Surfed with Rose and Adam in Amsterdam for queens day. Had a Great time, consumed too much, but thats gotta be done.
Rose and Adams were PERFECT hosts and were exactly the sort of people I was hoping to meet. Chilled out, down to earth and a good laugh.

Rose. Such a shame that she'll leave soon, caus' what a rich addition to this neighbourhood and my life she is!
So genuine and warm, smart and sensitive. The kind of person that naturally gives you a feeling of comfort. I guess the word that would describe her the best is Loyal with a big L.
If you'll ever get the change to meet her, invest, make sure you'll be in the moment, and you'll have a memorable experience.
Rose was unbelieveable, she responded to our last minute request within a few minutes, saving us from having our first major set back on the trip! She gave us our first taste of amsterdam at night, and was a wonderful person to talk to. Hope your holidays went as awesome as mine did! take care!
