Tips

Mount Qasioun: The best place to see the panorama of Damascus at night, or to watch the sun rise over the city.

The mount is drawing a natural fence to the north of the city; it’s only 15 minutes by car from the city center.

There are many restaurants but they are expensive.

Old City: Take a stroll around the old city alleys, try the famous Damascene Showerma, and coffee at the famous coffee place Nofara right behind the Omayyad Mosque.
