Lund is the 11th biggest city in Sweden, it is situated in southwest Scania (Skåne) in the south o the country. Lund is Sweden's oldest city, founded in 990, and was part of Denmark until 1658. Actually, between 1716-1718, when Sweden was facing war and other troubles, the city of Lund was, in practice, the capital of the country. Today, Lund, is mostly known for being an important university and student city. The University of Lund (original name Regia Academia Carolina) is a most prestigious universities, and the second oldest (after University of Uppsala).

Student dorms: International Housing Office provide most exchange students with housing, while AF Bostäder provides housing for most of the native students (you generally have to be accepted to Lunds University in order to apply for dorms, but it is very easy to get one). Apartments: Two popular websites with housing ads are Blocket.se and Bopolen.se.
