Whether as a host or a guest, you may have come across times when you really wished to cook a dinner for your lovely new CS friends, celebrate a birthday, discuss a book or just watch your favourite TV show in a setting that is more homely than commerical, but then reality strikes: Your room-mate is terribly anti-social, your room is a bit too tiny or you're just a visitor and the only luxury you have is a couch. What do you do?
The purpose of this group is to bring together generous NY CSers who would not mind, if space and schedule permit, opening up their home for the event you have thoughtfully planned. As a result, the host would have the opportunity to have a lavish party organized without effort or expense, and meet many lovely people, and the party-planner would have a private venue. Everyone stands to benefit.
Being a part of this group obviously does not mean having to host every party and pick up broken bottles or scattered cig tips at the end. It means that you have the right and the freedom to choose whose and what type of party you wish to host, and set whatever guidelines you wish to ensure only pleasure emerges, and no pain.
Welcome to the group!
