Couch Surfing is more about crashing couches. It is also a community of reciprocity, solidarity, and welcoming traveling and diverse spirits to a place we call home.
But what happens when one of the wandering souls decides when they come to D.C. that they really want to live here and doesn't have an extensive network nor wants to rely solely on Craigslist or property/renters agencies?
OR, what if you are part of the couch Surfing community and suddenly find out that your roommate is going to go work in the Ghanian Embassy or has decided to become a buddhist monk in Vancouver? Great for them: but now you need to make a solid transition for your living situation.
The moderator has seen many postings for just these situations and has decided that perhaps a sub group may be appropriate, so as to make an area of the DC CS community more explicit.
Well, hopefully this will be the go-to place for Washington DC couch surfers looking for their new 'more permanent living situation' also known as 'couch revamping'.
