Figueres is the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, also Narcís Monturiol, inventor of the first combustion engine-driven submarine (The Ictíneo II) and Mónica Naranjo, one of the best selling Spanish singers of the 1990s and 2000s..
Figueres is the capital of Alt Empordà, the region located further to the northeast of Spain, very close to the France(25km), the Mediterranean Sea(15km) and Barcelona (140km).
Currently is the first Spanish city that is connected to high speed train with France and you can arrive to Paris in less than 6 hours!

"The Rambla" of Figueres is a place dedicated to our dear and remembered Narcis Monturiol, the inventor of the first combustion engine-driven submarine (The Ictíneo II).
The Rambla is a quiet place where you can stroll, relax, eat. It is located only 200m from the Dali Museum.
***Sant Ferran Castle***
One of the most largest fortresses in Europe! you can walk around for more than 3km!
Inside the castle there are 4 million liters of water. You can browse inside!
