Love Mexico? Want to live where you love and make a difference at the same time?
Join Fundacion En Via in our fight to alleviate poverty in the small town of Teotitlan del Valle, about 40 minutes from Oaxaca.
En Via is a non-profit microfinance organization working to fight poverty by providing interest-free microloans, business classes and English classes to people living around Oaxaca. All of the work we do is funded by the tours we run to visit the women in our lending program. The tours allow travelers to see firsthand the impact our interest-free microloans and educational classes are having on the women, their families, and their communities.
We are always looking for new volunteers to teach English in Teotitlan. We don't require any previous teaching experience, but do ask that volunteers can commit to one month (8 classes). At this time we are also looking for an English Program Coordinator to start on January 4th, 2012. This position is also volunteer, but provides excellent experience in managing others. We prefer that a Coordinator can commit to 3 months.
