blading in prenlauer...

i spend enough time in prenzlauerberg, that i'd like to create a map dictating the level of difficulty for various streets.

i know that there are maps for bicycles but bladers have different issues to roll over.

if anyone has streets to suggest, that'd be greatly appreciated:

amateur: people are the only obstacle

intermediate: some cobblestone but even enough that it's not an issue; minor jumps

expert: harcore cobble stone on streets and/or sidewalk; uneven surfaces; heavy traffic; intese to keep up a good pace

...or if someone knows of any bike maps that are directly applicable to rollerbladers, that'd be cool too!

hi johannes.

thanks for all of the great info and welcome to the group. i'm going to jump around a little but...

living in the west, i find that most main streets have wide sidewalks that are easy to roll on with occasional cobblestone leading into driveways.

some of the side streets in kreuzberg are bit more challenging but nothing like prenzlauerberg. and since the main streets have normal sidewalks, dodging pedistrians is a must (especially, on the strip of kreuzberg straße that covers the length of viktoria park).

wilhemstraße is nice but once it becomes louisenstr., there's cobblestone every three seconds.

I haven´t really tried in-line skating in the streets here in berlin (hopefully will get a chance on 12. May) but I was wondering if there was any good in-line track in one of Berlin´s many parks. Do you know of any?

i didn't find out about this place until winter but i've heard that there's a pretty good track in grünewald that cyclists and inliners use when the weather's nice. supposedly, you can't miss it!

i'll be in france until the 18/19th of this month so let me know if you check it out:)
