Backpacking: VISAS and trains
Hi fellow couchsurfers!
My name is Fabio and I'm a Brazilian and Portuguese who - as I'm sure most of you here - loves to travel and specially travel by bus or trains.
Considering that, I'm starting to plan a backpacking trip to Central Asia and would love to do it by train and bus, but to start materializing these ideas and making more concrete plans I would really love to know two things:
1. Is it possible to travel between country capital cities by train or bus? (Ideally on overnight trains or buses)
2. Can I buy my visas at the border? (I shall arrive in Almaty and go to Bishkek, Dushanbe and then Uzbekistan - Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, so I'll only have a return ticket for a flight on my final destination)
I would love the answer or comments about these two questions (and anything else you believe is relevant to know before I travel), so please feel free to answer me here or send me direct messages, which I shall be checking daily.
So thank you guys for your help and hope to meet you soon in your amazing countries!
