Join the monthly celebration of community and non-motorized life! Free bike ride to celebrate the BNDCM video release. Bring sounds, snacks and lights!
Ditmas <3 Rides - 7pm Quathra on Cortelyou @ Stratford, Brooklyn
Beat the chill by exercising your body while making new friends. Free in the streets and family friendly!
Central Park Moonlight Ride - 10pm Columbus Circle, Manhattan
The immensely popular, fun, and leisurely tour of Central Park with Time's Up!
City Council Meeting on Bikes in NYC - 10am, 250 Broadway, 14th Fl, ManHat'in
Bureaucrats, politicians, and well-funded special-interest groups will discuss the "Opportunities and Challenges" of bicycling in NYC. Let's make sure that the community voices are heard as well. There will be Massive feeder rides to the meeting, TBA. Bring ID to get into the building and come early to beat the crowds.
Brooklyn Critical Mass - 7pm Grand Army Plaza, Manhattan
Rumors of a sweet route have emerged, touring the sights of south Brooklyn, finishing with classic snacks and plentiful bike parking. Safety escorting courtesy the 78th Precinct, which recently concluded the debate over its presence at Critical Mass during Tuesday's Community Council meeting. Bring lights and rights!
77th Precinct Bicycle Safety Committee - 7pm, 127 Utica Ave, Brooklyn
New monthly meeting for community input on NYPD efforts to protect cyclists on the streets of Brooklyn. Meet with Community Affairs Officers. Currently discussing: Bike Safety Briefing for Police Officers, Precinct Traffic Enforcement Priorities, Bike/NYPD Field Day, re-establishing bicycle units and patrols.
I hope to see you on streets or in the halls of the state soon, as the time has come, as the tilting axis, for Mellow Yellow to migrate from this dear flock of free flyers. I hope you are inspired by our movie to take responsibility not only for your life, but the lives of others as well. Oh yeah, and don't forget the World Naked Bike Ride in NYC June 11th!
